Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. He criticized our use of a FIXD OBD2 reader, warning that it could potentially brick the ECU, though it's my understanding that would be extremely rare. He then quoted over $500 for ignition coils and spark plugs on a 2009 Toyota Corolla even though only one cylinder was misfiring. When we declined the repair, his attitude changed significantly and he became confrontational, to the point that my wife was nearly in tears by the end of the interaction. We left feeling pressured and uncomfortable.

I returned with a new problem with my tires (which I had foolishly purchased at Mavis, not knowing he sold tires), causing my car to vibrate and ride terribly. He suggested I go back there to see if they would help me, rather than pressuring me to buy tires from him. I felt more comfortable sticking with a professional, and bought new tires from him. He explains everything, and shows you exactly what was done. My car rides like a dream now with the correct tires, installed properly! Michael is a pleasure to deal with, and I would highly recommend him. Cindy C.

Transmission delivered in March 2024 lasted less than 200 miles before clutches failed. When codes were set, builder advised to clear codes and drive it. Builder then claimed failure was due to torque converter I had purchased (new), which was found to be OK. Builder charged another $800 to repair what should have been under warranty (they had my tranny, so what else could I do?). That rebuild lasted about 100 miles before the pump failed. 3rd rebuild seemed OK, but builder suggested pressures were too high. After checking pressures when warmed up, he deemed it OK, but cracked the case when reinstalling a temperature sensor. Unit leaked a quart of fluid in 11 miles. I now have a $3000+ boat anchor instead of a transmission. I have been trying to reach the builder since October 2024 (now almost March 2025), but he doesn't respond to texts, telephone, or certified mail. I guess Small Claims Court and the Sheriff's Department is the next step...

Billy was able to get my car in and fixed in reasonable time and was fully committed to the work he had put into the car. The price was reasonable and the service was great. Hopefully we won't have to come back anytime soon but I will be a returning customer when the time comes.

Reasonable price, great owner, and nice location…read more Came in for an oil change and to track down the cause of a recurring stall issue with my Volkswagen Tiguan. The mechanic listened, asked good follow-up questions, made sure he understood the problem before drawing any conclusions, and then diagnosed it cleanly. The part arrived within the window he quoted (2-3 hours), was installed without fuss, and the final bill was reasonable. What stood out as much as the technical work: he flagged a slow coolant leak and a minor oil leak -- this is an older car, so neither was a shock -- but there was no pressure to pile on services. He showed me rough estimates so I'd have them when I'm ready and left the decisions to me. That kind of straightforward, no-upsell approach is rarer than it should be. The waiting area is a genuine plus: free wifi, a table big enough to work at, and a small fridge with complimentary drinks, large TV. My one suggestion would be to add a coffee in the AM. Also, the door to the reception currently reads "B". Might want to avoid any confusion with better signage. That said, I am a big fan of this establishment and will be using them for repairs in the future (apparently sooner than I want :) Bonus: he pointed me to a wonderful Indian place across the street, Biryani, which I'd highly recommend if you have time to kill while your car is being worked on.
