He is also good at breaking each of those promises. For the scheduled appointment (for which he was a no-show and only after I called him to inquire, did he tell me he would be approximately two-hours late). After the extended wait, two of his employees finally arrived. After some time, one of the two employees took their vehicle and abandoned the other one leaving him stranded at my property without his supplies or telephone. After the employee finished, I called Bill to inform him of the situation. Since I had to leave, he requested that I provide him my credit card information over the phone, and he would email me an immediate paid invoice including the scope of the project. Not a big ask, so I paid in full. Easy right? Nope. I still have no invoice and all I have are his empty promises and LIES. I have subsequently spoken to him on three separate occasions and each time he told me he would email the invoice. To date, nothing. I have also sent him numerous texts, all of which he ignored Unfortunately, this simple request has now cost him this one-star review as well as a complaint with the California State License Board and Better Business Bureau. read more

Not included in the est was a broken faucet pipe, above ground that took 45 min they charged me $280 for that, the material was a separate line item $45. I can NOT believe this plumber has 5-star reviews. I made an appointment for them to be at my home around 1 p.m. on 10/14/21. The owner promised he would call before coming or if delayed. At 1:30 p.m. I started to have a bad feeling about them showing up. I called them at 2 p.m. and left an exceptionally diplomatic message that perhaps I had written it down for the wrong day (I had not), but weren't they scheduled to be here or call me? They never called. I called back at 3 p.m. guessing that they weren't coming. In any event, I have things to do as well - that is the purpose of an appointment, which we both had agreed on. The owner answered and mumbled an obviously on-the-spot story about "finishing a main line..." I reminded him that we had an appointment at 1 p.m. or close to it, that he was supposed to call if delayed or on the way, and that I have chores to do as well and not just hang out all day for a no-show. Desert cities plumbing has stood me up. I'm very certain they never intended to call me to tell of significant delays as promised, and likely never intended to show up. As I went down a rabbit hole and thought I could manage some level of plumbing myself, I quickly realized that's what experts are for and had to call Bill for a 911 sink emergency. He graciously showed up, identified the issue and helped us not just fix our valves but replacing our entire sink. He even went to Home Depot to help pick out parts. I had a great experience with desert cities plumbing. I spoke with Alan about a leak in a pipe under the sink. He told me he would be here in app 2 hours and he arrived, "on- time" for the appt. I showed him the problem and he knew just what to do. I spoke with him about a few other issues related to frequent cartridge changes and mineral build up in the shower head. I did not want to hold him up because he was busy, but I will definitely have him back after the beginning of the year to proactively assess a few other things. I have used Desert Cities Plumbing several times in the past and always experienced great service. Last night my next-door neighbor called me and said I had an exterior main line plumbing leak. Water was gushing out and also coming into my home. I called Bill Moore at 6:30 and he was out within 20 minutes. He made the repair and saved the day. In addition, he also asked me if he could call a rug cleaning service to vacuum all the water that had accumulated on the floor inside. The rug cleaning company also came out quickly after hours. They looked all over for a replacement valve and when they couldn't locate one did the research to find out where I could order one. After my home's main sewage line became blocked last Saturday, I frantically called various local plumbers I could find on Yelp. Unlike the other companies, Bill answered his phone after a couple of rings. Furthermore, he was at my house in less than an hour. He wore a mask, maintained proper social distancing, was professional, friendly, conveyed confidence, and cleared the blockage in about 10 to 15 minutes. Called at 7:16am. Had shower then both toilets clogged Was planning to leave at 8am for an extended time away and couldn't leave that to come back to. Fortunately a team arrived at 8:10. Coincidentally had been to the house on a call from the previous owner which he remembered and immediately pulled back the fake turf in the front and revealed two vents which clearly had 'water' pushed to the surface. They went to work and cleared the clog to the street and solved the issue. Such a relief. Advised to schedule again in 6 months as the only debris revealed were roots. Our Kitchen sinks backed up and made a huge mess on a Monday night. We called Desert Cities Plumbing and Bill (Owner) set an appointment for 8:30am Tuesday. We were pleasantly surprised he could respond so quickly! Bill and his assistant showed up right on time, properly masked etc. for Covid 19 safety. He immediately diagnosed the problem and got the sewer line cleaned out. He took his time afterwards to thoroughly test the system. Very professional! I had a major problem with a faucet that came loose in the master bathroom sink. It would continue turning and the bottom bracket holding it in also just continued to turn, making the faucet useless. I contacted a plumber through my home insurance. He came and after an hour said it could not be fixed and I would need a specialist who would need to drill and file the sink to fix everything. Well, looking through Yelp I decided to try Desert Cities, because of all the good reviews. Bill came and he fixed the problem within 15 minutes.
