Such a terrible experience here, I had my phone stolen and my bank account drained. they closed my account then reopened it and put refunded some money (not all) into the SAME account without my permission which allowed the fraudsters to double dip. They then lied to me that they were processing my refund when they weren't and then after months of waiting and fighting for my money refused to pay me and had some dork named Jose accuse me of lying and accused me of falsifying a police report. They would get zero if I could give it !!!! Don't sue this credit union - they don't care at all !!! My husband died and they wipe out 11 years of bill pay and current bills I had in bill pay !!! Has left me expecting me to r renter over 30 companies we bulk paid !!!! N order to pay bills in 2 days and they didn't care at all when all they had to do as transfer file and they refused !!!! I have had accounts for years. The rates for car loans and CD are better at other Credit Unions. Employees in call center suck. I no longer recommend this Credit Union, has gone down hill. read more

Great bank. Have gone to this location twice. Most of the staff are friendly. Clean store and very professional bankers.

I'm a teacher, because I received my retirement benefits on the 3rd instead of the second I was charged $170 in maintenance fees of which only $36 was returned. This is stealing money from retirees that are teachers. People living on fixed incomes. You choose to take away food and gas so you can have a profit? I hope that you're proud of yourselves. I switched from a big bank to Desert Financial to get better customer service and to do business more locally. I've been disappointed that they seem to be behind on technology. They do not support Garmin Pay, so I can no longer use my watch for payments. They don't support Zelle to send and receive money. There are minor details missing from their website that the big bank had such as adding a memo to a transaction. Overall I just have some buyers remorse. On the plus side, they have the branches well staffed with great service, far exceeding that of the big bank. I'll stay with them but I wish they'd add the missing components. read more

DS claims to be a part of the credit union co-op network (Google co-op ATM network and put in ur zip), which allows members of other credit unions to use the ATM for free. This is an egregious misrepresentation. Not only is it not free, they charge $4 to get cash. They even had the co-op stickers on the ATM to lure you in. Shameful and they owe me $16 in fees for the misrepresentation. read more

I have banked with DFCU for 20 years, when I went to them for a business loan a few years ago they said my business was too risky, now it has a revenue of nearly 1 million. This week I went to them for a home loan and they came back with an approval for a 125k less than I asked for, effectively pricing me out of the market in the PHX area. I am pulling my business from them and going with a bank that cares. read more

After contacting property management president, mgmt put in a handicapped space/ramp (still need more than one) next to the ATM. One person CAN make a difference. read more

I've been a DSFCU member for many years. Recently, my account was accessed fraudulently and the folks at Desert Schools promptly notified me and made a potentially bad situation really good. Absolutely horrible customer service and loan department. I called to make my first payment on an auto loan I have with them and they told me I had won a "summer drawing" and that I didn't need to make my payment that month. All I needed to do was pay a $30 dollar fee and I would be covered for that month. I received a call a few days later from the loan department telling me that my payment was do. When I told them what happened, and that I was told I won a drawing, they just told me that it was not true and that I now need to make the payment. All I got was an unsympathetic sorry. Thanks for the rollercoaster ride Desert Schools. I think your representatives and managers need customer service training or a new job. read more

Still WORST Mortgage company in Arizona. Update Daryl Jackson called said its someones else's fault. More lack of taking responsibility for their crappy service. Insurance agent mailed my documents to correct address November 2018. Last month DFCU Mort dept said yes i was insured. Today does this mo ron say "oops sorry it took us 3 months to the day to figure out I have had insurance since 10-31-18. No he doubled down on blaming someone else for the lack of attention to detail and doing the basics of being a mortgage lender. Not a company anyone should be trusting with money or mortgage. This sad credit union should spend money on getting their system robust and flawless not wasting it on propaganda making claims they do not meet. read more

I been in this location many times. Their staff has always been super friendly and willing to take care of me. It's amazing though, I have seen some oddities come in and acting all crazy, riling everybody up. Who knows of those of the people writing not so good reviews. I just ponder because I've never received bad service from this bank and out all the banks I've ever tried to work with they're the only ones that aren't shafting me 24/7. read more

Good customer service everytime I come here. I'd recommend Desert schools as a credit union.

I've been banking with this branch for a few years now and just recently was notified of a check that did not go through until it was too late. One would imagine that they would notify you as soon as possible so that you would not occur over draft fees. they did not even work with me or assist me to come to an agreement. this is shady business and when all was said and done, they took almost $400.00 worth of fees. I will be leaving this bank soon and I hope anyone who reads this will stay away and find a better bank. one last thing, they do not offer mobile banking which for me is a big deal. I am constantly out and about around town and travel so I do not have access to internet and cannot do online banking much. so again, i urge anyone reading this to stay away and go elsewhere. read more
