Been cashing checks here for over 3 months now and today got a new teller who says the cannot cash my check even though it's a Desert Schools check and haven't had any issues for 3 months now. Clearly not the case being they've done it many times no issues. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced with a financial institution. I called their Loan Department on a Tuesday to refinance my car. I went through the application process and was assured someone would be giving me a call by Friday. Friday afternoon rolls around... I haven't heard from anyone I called them Friday afternoon and was told I needed to give them my final mileage. I explained to the gal I didn't have access to my vehicle because my parking for my job is, somewhere offsite. She then asked me when somebody could call me back I said anytime Saturday before 11 AM would be great, because I would be working at 11:00. She reassured me that that wouldn't be a problem. I'm looking at my phone and it's 1057 and I still haven't received a call. At 11:47 am my phone behind to vibrate and I looked at the caller ID, it said Desert schools... Their car their ID isn't even correct. Unfortunately, I was unable to take the call. I called back that afternoon and I was told again they wanted my final mileage I explained to the girl I wasn't going to be available until next week, because obviously they cannot guarantee a time when they can call. And I cannot be interrupted at work. She gave me an attitude. I finally called back again Wednesday and Matt still was not available. I finally was able to get assistance from another gentleman. His customer service was better, however he just wanted to keep selling me warranties additional stress coverage that just wasn't necessary. read more

They still have my deposit and they told the AZ Consumer Affairs that they credited it back to me, which is a lie.

I have banked with Desert Financial (Schools) for around 15 years and have been very, very happy. The Maricopa branch, in particular, is outstanding. Especially Alexis! I go in fairly regularly and Alexis is always so cheerful and helpful every time. She is great at problem solving, continually goes above and beyond, and even faces the money when I get withdrawals out. I've had my account for 3 months now and it has been the worst bank I have ever banked with! My debit card never works ive had 3 conversations with there hotline number because you can't get a hold of anyone at a branch, and every call get forwarded to a third party and the third party needs nothing short of a blood sample to verify who you are and when I have gotten through the issue still hasn't been fixed find a different bank to bank with if possible I'm currently shopping other options! read more

I disputed several charges on my bank account the other day and then they closed my debit card . I told the teller that I hadn't received the packages from some companies and I wanted it looked into. Instead they closed my account!! No warning never told me that disputing a charge would close my debit card. I have been with them for many years and I'm rethinking other options. read more

I have to give a shout out to one particular employee.... Austin Larson has assisted us many times since we've moved here and our transactions have always been quick and easy. We just moved here last month and the thought of dealing with a new bank or credit union made us a bit apprehensive.
