Best tire shop experience in a long time! Placed my order online, for 4 Michelin's for my company vehicle. Online stock status showed 5 in stock, but after placing the order, Dustin from Discount called me to let me know they only had 3 tires in stock, but to not worry as they were bringing the fourth over from another location. Best part? STILL able to do the install same day as ordered, even with the 4th tire being sourced from out of town and no appointment. Dropped the car off around noon, Dustin met me outside and was very friendly and professional. Just picked it up 2 hours later, tires are exactly as ordered and look and feel great. I prepaid for four brand-new Vogue tires (approx. $3000) for my Cadillac Escalade ESV. When I picked up my SUV, all four white-wall tires were smeared with black oily residue from careless installation. Not one tire was white-wall was clean. And to make it worse, the air pressures were all wrong. An assistant manager had to spend nearly an hour fixing what should have been done correctly the first time. Then the situation went from bad to unbelievable. I returned in my work car, 2019 Kia Forte, purchased (2) new rear tires (approx. $500) after the inspection revealed they needed replacing and to pick up my Escalade's original tires (only 10k miles on them). Instead, the employees loaded someone else's tires into my vehicle wrapped in white plastic so I couldn't see the mistake. I went home to rest before a 10 1/2-hour drive back to California for work, only to be repeatedly woken up by calls from the store telling me I had to come back because THEY mixed up the tires, the tires belong to another customer. Their mistake cost me sleep, time, gas, and ultimately a full day of work as a tower crane operator because I couldn't travel back to work to safely perform my job. Their "fix"? Refunding two Kia tires. That didn't even scratch the surface of the financial loss and frustration they caused. @Discount Tire Corporate- Your Maricopa store needs serious retraining and oversight. If your technicians can't handle white-wall tires, get them trained. If they can't identify the correct customer's tires, that's a massive problem. If they're interrupting customers' sleep because of sloppy mistakes, that's unacceptable. My wife and I own five vehicles, and after this nightmare, none of them will ever return to this location. This is a warning to other customers: Double-check everything at this store, because they clearly won't. read more

I have been a customer of Discount Tire for 30+ years. This store has had the worst customer service of any that I have gone to. I had an appt for 1:00 p.m. on friday for tire balance and rotation. I arrived 15 minutes early, they ask you to arrive 10 minutes early, only to wait in line for 20 minutes. During the check in I asked how long it would take and was told it should be done in an hour or less. After 45 minutes I noticed my car was still in the parking lot even though there had been 4 open bays for several minutes. I asked for my keys and left. I understand things happen but, this is the 3rd time I've been to this store after having made an appt and had to wait more than an hour just for my car to be taken in. Although the employees were friendly, there doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency from the employees to get the customers in and out. When you make an appt for ANY type of service you expect to be seen timely. Discount Tire needs to hire and competently train more people. read more

My daughter went to Discount Tires to purchase a replacement tire. Her car had the "donut" tire when she went in. Tire replacement went great. Got home and the donut tire was gone. So were the tools that were in the trunk that we used to change the tire. DON'T TRUST THEM! I called to see if the donut was accidentally left behind. The manager refused to look and said that they don't keep spares. They took the spare off the car! Where else would it be? My advice...go somewhere else for tires. read more

I love Discount. Every time I'm there, my situation is handled professionally and efficiently. Today was no different....i pulled up for air and to my surprise they had a sign indicating the service was closed due to the heat. Totally understand. I parked and went inside. Long story short, I needed a tire repair, not just air. There was a big screw in my front driver side tire. The guy asked me how long I had(time wise) and I told him I was on my 1 hour lunch break. I took my vehicle in to have a couple of tires replaced. On the drive home, I noticed damage to my passenger-side headrest. I was shocked to see the headrest lying backward, hanging only by the wires for the embedded DVD player. This was puzzling, as I couldn't think of any scenario where this could have happened during the tire replacement. I called Discount Tire and returned to the store to speak with someone about the situation. I was not angry or aggressive, merely confused. The gentleman who initially assisted me with my tires met me in the parking lot. We were both perplexed because this damage seemed unrelated to the service provided. He mentioned he didn't know the best way to handle the situation and would fetch an assistant manager whose name started with a J. I agreed and continued to inspect the headrest, trying to understand what could have happened. I wondered if the door had been left unlocked or if someone accidentally broke it while retrieving the wheel locks. Given the age of the vehicle, some parts are prone to breakage, and it might not have been anyone's fault. Another employee arrived, whose name started with an R. When I inquired about the assistant manager, he informed me that he was the one. He looked at the headrest and asserted with 100% certainty that the damage did not occur there. I questioned how he could be so sure unless he had been watching the vehicle the entire time. He then accused me of trying to get someone else to pay for the damage, which I found insulting and a direct attack on my integrity. I clarified that I never mentioned compensation; I merely wanted to discuss the situation. The employee responded that if I was just there to talk, there was nothing more to discuss. I explained that he did not come to talk with me as a customer but to argue. I expressed my displeasure with his combative approach and indicated that this attitude would not resolve the situation amicably. He asked if I was threatening him, to which I replied that I was not and had not yet decided how to handle the situation. I reiterated that I did not appreciate his aggressive tone. He then apologized for his combative manner and excused himself, wishing me a good day. Regardless of how the damage occurred, the way I was treated was unacceptable. My integrity and honesty were insulted, and I am uncertain if I was dealing with a manager or an overly zealous employee. There are various ways to address such a situation. For now, I intend to share a review of my experience and how I was treated. I am not seeking compensation for the damage; I simply wanted to discuss it. TJ refused to honor realistic business to business tire mounting and balancing pricing @ $36.00 to mount and balance a tire for us local shop owners. TJ became unpleasant when I mentioned that $25.00 was as much as we would consider paying. We offered to show them a competing invoice from Firestone down the block for mounting and balancing the exact same tire And TJ didn't care! Complete waste of time, that is not how to honor B2B! Wow!! This was the worst experience and worst customer service i have ever experience. If I could give a negative review, I absolutely would. On 11/25, I bought 4 brand new tires for my family car. Big O broke my hub cap, I thought: ok things happen. They said they would replace it. I called Wednesday, spoke with Steve the manager who said it would be in on Wednesday expecting delivery shortly. I received no call Wednesday Or Thursday. I called Friday, Steve wasn't there and no one there knew what I was taking about. I called again, Saturday morning confirmed they had it before going to the shop. Once I arrived at the shop, spoke with Steve (the manager) who came out to my car who was very unprofessional and cussing while My wife and 3 kids are in the car listening. instead of an apology , he shifted blame , cussing and dropping the F-bomb every other word and blamed his staff. It took 30+ mins for them to finish my hubcap and had the audacity to hand it to me for ME to put it on my car. They should have completed the job and put the hubcap on my car themself. I had an appointment at 10:45 a.m. I check in, pay and Benjamin told me it would be 30-45 minutes (though I'd planned on an hour because that's what I was originally told on the phone). So, I have a seat, try and do some work on my laptop (but my hotspot wasn't allowing it), so I just dive into a podcast and texting to kill the hour. At the hour mark, I check the status of my vehicle...it hasn't even been pulling into the bay to begin work. I go to the front desk and ask for a refund because I have other appointments. He let me sit there that ENTIRE TIME without saying a word about a delay; that would've gone a long way, but he didn't have the courtesy to do that. That's poor customer service and INCREDIBLY inconsiderate of my time. Then, he asked if I wanted to reschedule for later in the day. Amazing people and customer service!! I came in last week with what I thought was a tire needing some air, turned out to be a tire with a screw and another piece of metal in it. I needed to get to work, so Charlie was going to put my spare on so I could be on my way. Then Jacob priced new tires for me and told me, at 8:30 am, they could be on my car before 9:00 am. I decided to go ahead with the new tires as it was a great deal and I would have a much safer commute. Charlie put my spare tire back in my trunk as he was all ready to put it on my car, and made sure the air level was good before putting it back. I had my brand new tires on my car at 8:43 am!!! Went for a routine pressure check since one tire was low, the employee advised me of the nail in my tire. I called while he was filling the rest of my tires and they were able to get me in right away and only took 20 minutes to replace the tire. AND it was under warranty so it was $13. Absolutely amazed at the service I received. Firstly, Chandler was very helpful and knowledgeable when I called in to ask about the unique work I needed done. Then, after having actually brought my truck to the store, Hezekiah went so far beyond my expectations that I will never use or recommend another tire shop out here in copa again. The work I needed to have done was to have my TPMS sensors taken out of my OEM wheels, remount my OEM wheels & tires to my truck, have the TPMS sensors installed on aftermarket wheels that I brought in, and additionally have them mount (for lack of a better term) & balance my aftermarket tires that I brought in to my aftermarket wheels that now have the TPMS sensors installed. During the work, one of the crew members made a mistake that destroyed one of my OEM tires. You'd think this alone would have resulted in an unsatisfactory review. But, instead, Hezekiah (and probably some manager that I never spoke too) took full responsibility and owned up to the fact that they had messed up and corrected it in a way I would have never expected. They put a brand new tire on there free of cost to me. A seldomly witnessed level of responsibility nowadays, especially in the auto shop world... A while after having told me of this mistake & correction, Hezekiah informed me of some information about lug nuts that should be used when using these types of aftermarket wheels. He went as far as breaking open a box of lug nuts and showing me exactly what he was talking about. Best part about it, he didn't try and upsell me on them (to be fair, I did mention I had bought some aftermarket lug nuts already, but was completely unaware of the extended thread lug nuts that were required which is what Hezekiah informed me of). 11 out of 10 service, and as I mentioned earlier, I will never use or recommend a different tire shop out here in copa other than this Discount Tire. 0 scratches installed on my brand new out-of-the-box wheels, clean shop, and amazing service.
