I had gone by this business location a few times for questions and or pickup or drop off. Today, I got blindsighted by this business, via particular NP Natalie H., of Desert Gastroentrerlogy received a certified letter & another letter to state they no longer have me as their patient w/no reason why as I was getting ready to schedule for this year's Colonoscopy. Not sure if had something to do with a copy of the past records of mine last week to show NP Natalie there were errors on her last notes of mine stating that I declined a Colonoscopy, which I don't ever recall declining it from them 2024 visits as I only saw them 2 x that year. I was letting them know this had to be an 'error' on her notes this was added to my last current note stating I declined in the past for a Colonscopy and I told one of the staff's that I did not recall this at all and there was nothing on those notes stating it except the last visit note that I received like it just was put there stating it. One of the front desk staff, Charlotte, seem to be a little rude to me on the phone before I came by as I told her how she's treating me on the phone and trying to be clear and to I was giving her a copy of the last 2019 showing the type of preparation I was hope to get from them that was used better than the other one used by another Gastroenterologist that affected by body back in 2024 before I got the procedure done. I did not expect this letter blind sighting me by this Desert Gastroentrerlogy from NP Natalie signing it and she only hears what the staff(s) says to her but doesn't give me the opportunity to explain my side as a retired military and a patient of theirs as their staff can feed bad information to the doctor or NP's. So since this type of business do this to people behind their back, especially to a retired military veteran, after sacrificing our freedom for us twice, as they are no better themselves like they think, but they operate like a double standard business and is inconsistent with the notes or how they handle their patients with disrepect. The sad part of this is that you all only get to see what they show on the outside surface till you try to validate their service then they betray their patients. So surprised to see any negative reviews of this office. My experiences have been great! This is a wonderful practice! The girl at the front office is incredibly patient and always friendly. Natalie, the Nurse Praxtioner is great. She listens to your questions and is very thorough. Dr. Mokuolu is also very kind, thorough, and patient. Horrible service! They always over book appointments and you can never see the doctor. I always end up seeing the medical assistant.

Refused my scheduled visit after waiting in the lobby 30 min, because, as I was then informed for the first time, the doctor will not see a patient who has had a procedure done elsewhere within the last year. I was not asked any questions about medical history when scheduling the appt, but I did answer every question in the app check-in thorougjly and honestly. According to my insurer it is up to me to watch my account for a claim from the doctor for this visit he refused in order to dispute the charge. The only thing i am able to do now is file a complaint. Neither of these will get me the care I was hopelessy praying for. read more

Natalie Huxtable and Amy are always ready to answer my questions. Office staff is very friendly. It can definitely get busy in there but I've always been treated nicely and welcomed here. Once you're in the back they make sure to take their time to care for you and not just rush you out like other offices. Would definitely recommend this office. read more

This place is terrible and that's just from my phone experience- I haven't seen a Dr yet! I see why they have a 2.5 rating which I didn't know before I called them. My Dr referred me to them for a colonoscopy and I called was on hold for 7 min first then and speaking to the rude operator for 1 min - I was then put on hold for 4 more min - Ms Rude came back and offered me a consultation appt. When i questioned why I would need to come "in person" to consult with someone for a routine colonoscopy- she advised me that I could call somewhere and do a direct screen if I didn't want to do the consult. At the risk of this becoming too long - I made the appointment but called back because I had questions and asked for a supervisor or manager to call me back but they said we have one available and a person more rude than the first person came on the phone and with MUCH attitude said What do you want??? WTH?! No name nothing but attitude- I told her she could start with her name and that I didn't want anything. I have gone back to my primary care Dr for a referral to another office - this one sucks!!! read more

I see alot of issues in the comments with this place BUT as someone who's been seeing Dr Moku and his office for some time now I can say I personally am really grateful for Dr Moku. His approach to solving what's wrong with you is sincere and he's a big sigh of relief when he's made his decision to take treating you on. I've had already one EGD done and will do a second shortly but he's real good at what he does, Ive also had good occasions with the office staff. His ladies have been purely nothing but help, whenever I need prescription filled or am calling in to schedule they are always on point for me... BTW... Thanks Natalie, your really the best!!! Clean facility, plenty seating and small amenities up front (Television, Water). On decent side of town and not run down. COVID rules and mandates apply here. Hand sanitizer and etc all located inside. Easy 10/10 for me read more

HORRIBLE service. I'm losing my insurance because I got laid off, and need a prescription refilled before I lose coverage. It took over a month to get an appointment, then it was with a nurse practitioner, not a doctor, and she would not refill my prescription until I got new labs, despite providing 34 pages of medical records and the previous prescription I brought from my previous doctor in CA. I immediately got the labs, but now can't get anyone to return a phone call. I still don't have my prescription, and my insurance expires in. two days. I had a colonoscopy scheduled. I then got a call saying there was an issue with approval, and they rescheduled 3 months later for May. I then got a call saying they didn't have anywhere to do the procedure as they had been waiting on a contract that was taking too long. They kept me waiting 5 months when they had nowhere to perform the procedure. I need surgery for ostomy reversal and large hernia, and they blew me off again. I waited all month for their referral to another place and Charlotte, the person who says she didn't talk to me but did, dropped the ball and no referral, She again said to wait 2 weeks for it. I was already approved for surgery and now find the surgeon will be out of the office. I may be older, but my mind isn't gone so far as not to be able to look up phone records to support my memory. This probably just cost me all those tests I paid for. I mean really, what doctor schedules appointments, not once but twice when he has nowhere to perform procedure? Lindsey simons is a joke! Never returns your phone calls with a billing dispute. This office over charged me for co pays and refuses to refund me. I did everything that was asked and even had the urgent care and emergency department send over my referrals and Lindsey doesn't do a dam thing about it. I have filed a dispute with my insurance company and credit cards company. If this doesn't get resolved legal action will be taken! Update: called today 10/03/23 and try to resolve billing dispute the office manager picks up and didn't do a dam thing about it. Transfers me back to Lindsey Simons who is unprofessional and accused me of not doing my part and calling me a liar! I did everything on my part and confirmed everything with my insurance and had the referrals sent. Now hire a professional who will do there part and see I'm owed a refund. This now being reported to the health department, BBB. My credit card company. My health insurance company is helping me with the whole process. Came here to take a friend to their appointment just to have to wait because the whole freaking building is apparently on lunch from 11:30-12:30 but still schedule appointments in the time that no one will help you. There's even a sign that says everyone's on lunch and to not disturb them. THEN WHY THE HELL DID YOU SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS IN THAT TIKE BLOCK. Everything went well from the front door until I got into the operating room the entire staff no one missed be on what I would need want or can handle everyone took care of me and it was great to see Dr. M before I was put to sleep, which just gave me comfort that everything would be OK And things were 100% until I left twice to make sure I was OK and that I would send everybody a note to him. Worst Dr office experience iv ever had. I arrived 30 min before my appointment to fill out paperwork. Was pulled into a room 15 min after my appointment time, waited over an hour to be seen by a Dr that came and barely seemed to speak English. The Dr also would not let me speak. I was attempting to tell him my symptoms and what I'm dealing with and he kept cutting me off Mid sentence. I couldn't get in 2 words with this guy. What a joke this entire practice was. The funny part is they don't give you meds or nothing you have to schedule another appointment. Amy the person in charge of medications does not care about any ones health or safety, she will leave them without medications for days. They do not care for their patients at all. I have been a patient with desert gastroenterology now for about 2 months and the only complaint I have at all is that the phone system can be a little slow and you can expect to wait a very long time for an answer but you can leave your number and they will call you back. I am so pleased with the in-person office visits that I have had so far which include one with the main doctor and one with his physician assistant and she was the one I met with today and wow is she wonderful and so informative and I'm ready to make some serious changes with my diet. I love the staff and the wait time is about 10 to 15 minutes but they have comfortable seating and a TV as well as water and reading material. I usually don't leave reviews but I was very impressed with the nurses and the physician assistant as well as the doctor he's very nice and informative and he cuts right to the Chase and I like that. I will be with them for a long period of time as I am dealing with a lot of stomach issues but I am happy to do so and they have been very supportive along the way. I recommend them if you can deal with the waiting time on the phone :-) read more

Stay far FAR away! How they're still open I don't know, the medical board should shut them down. I went in for stomach issues, and was so happy there was an immediate opening. Wrong! When everyone else is a month out, it's a red flag that one person is not! I called, check with them about my insurance, made the appointment. Once I arrived I was told my insurance was no accepted. I would have to play in full. I asked why I was lied to, they said they looked up the wrong plan. I paid them. Once inside someone did my vitals and stuck me in a room. The doctor came in "so you have stomach pain" "Yes" " I'll have you do blood work and schedule a double endoscopy ASAP." That was it. I was never examined. I was asked no further questions. He refused to answer my questions until after the $2,000 procedure. I got the blood work done, and called to ask about the results. "The doctor will go over the blood work at the surgery" What?! I canceled everything then and there, unwilling to tell me if my bloodwork said anything until you've locked in on a surgery is ridiculous! I got a second opinion and they actually examined me and answered my questions and ASKED me questions. Now, over a year later, they're charging me an extra $300. For what?! For not falling for your scheme? Trust the bad reviews. I went to the place off 215 and Durango, they're worth the wait. Now that this place is trying to rip me off again, I plan to contact the medical board. read more

The front office staff including the medical assistant Amy and the office manager are unprofessional to say the least after sending me an email to confirm an appointment they canceled my appointment . On a Friday I get a call canceling my appointment then Monday morning an email confirming my appointment now keep in mind if I don't show to an appointment the office will charge me $50 and I drove over an hr to the appointment so I came to the appointment the office manager was extremely rude when I tried to explain why I was still expecting to see the doctor. I asked why the email was sent out after the cancellation she said they forgot to cancel that part . I never got to see the doctor because after waiting 1 hour in the lobby, the receptionist told me that my insurance requires a referral. Two weeks prior to my appointment I called the doctors office and my insurance and both said I did not need a referral. Dr Adedayo mokuolu has been my Gastroenterologists for one week! I was experiencing pain from diverticulitis and called the office at 10 am. The PA was out and would call back! Stopped in at 11:15 PA was still in meeting and doctor performing procedures. I called at 2 and was told the PA would not be returning. I asked them to page the PA! I waited and the PA did not answer her page! I stopped in at 3:45 and asked them to pager her again! She took down my information through the secretary! She would have the dr follow up! All I needed was antibiotics for diverticulitis! Non responsive, non caring, I called the service and could not get an message to the doctor or PA! read more

Dr. Mokuolu is a great gastroenterologist. My complain goes to the scheduler named "Rachelle" or "Reychelle" idk how do you spell your name. I was scheduled for an endoscopy and a week prior to my procedure they called me for my co-pays, they explained to me how much is for the doctors fee and the facility (Seven Hills Surgery Center) BUT they never told me about the anesthesiologist (Dr.Madi Wassim). I wasn't informed about the charges of that doctor and never did someone told me about it. So i just found that out the moment they sent me a bill of $1200, my insurance paid $201, so my balance is approximately $998. If they told/informed me of the anesthesiologists' charges at the beginning, I wouldn't have done an endoscopy procedure. So to all the patient's, make sure before you guys have a procedure, know ALL the costs and expenses (as in everything) because these people are trying to make money out of us. Well Medicine is Business. These medical professionals are trying to make us stupid just because we are not like them so they assume they are smarter than us and take advantage of our innocence. Instead of helping the people, they're ripping us off. Coz in their mind, we do not have a choice but to go see them. So be SMART and WISE. And be HEALTY. read more

Took my dad to Dr Mokuolu. He did an ERCP when my dad was hospitalized around Christmas and this visit was the follow up. When I called they were able to give us an appointment around my schedule. I hate filling out the patient paperwork at the office so I went to their website, printed and filled out all the paperwork before hand. The front desk lady was nice. The waiting room is little small so don't bring your whole family there to support the patient LOL. 8:45am appointment and Dr Mokuolu walked in our room at 10:10am :-/ Its upsetting but Dr Mokuolu is worth the wait. He has very good memory actually. He saw my dad the first time 2 years ago for some stones in his gallbladder and ducs, bacc then he placed a stent in my dad's duc (sorry if i misspelled it). He is very knowledgeable, pleasant, explain everything so you understand exactly what is going on and what is the best treatment plan is offered. When we checked out, we scheduled our next visit. Dr Mokuolu is the Gastroenterologist on call for St Martin Campus in case of emergency... Like Dr Gary Chen (my Gastroenterologist located in SW area), Dr Adedayo Mokuolu (my dad's Gastroenterologist located in Henderson) is one of the BEST in town. I took my son to see Dr Mokulu for the 1st time and we were both very reluctant after reading some negative reviews but this is who the dr had referred my son to so we decided we give him a try. Yes, as most of the reviews do warn, there is a long waiting time. We waited a little over an hour after the scheduled appointment. However once the dr came into exam room he listened to my sons complaints and asked follow up questions. This was his 1st visit but he does seem to be very knowledgeable and as far as his bedside manner goes. I wouldn't say it's terrible. I am hoping that he will be able to help my son. We have seen 4 other GI dr's and have gotten nowhere. So keeping my fingers crossed. I will update after next appointment. read more

I had a Colonoscopy, by Dr Mokuolo, at Parkway Surgery. The staff at Parkway was FABULOUS. Dr Mokuolo did my procedure and it was more comfortable than the two previous ones I had done. My follow-up today was good. I had to wait about 1/2 past my appointment, but he answered all my questions, and was very pleasant. I did feel rushed or unimportant. read more

Waited 1 1/2 hours to see the doctor, which is unacceptable. If this was an unusual occurrence i could overlook that, but after seeing and hearing comments of others this is apparently a common thing that goes on day in and day out. My other complaint is attitude and unprofessional behavior of the doctor. He seems to be veteran unfriendly and somewhat hostile to the VA in general. He spent several minutes castigating me and even yelling at me, at the end of which the visit ended without him doing anything for me by my choice. I will go back to the VA and get a better doctor. So about a month ago, I got seen for a serious issue. I got there 40min's early the paperwork they had me fill out was very random, long, tedious, have to repeat myself way to often for them to get the picture for why I was there. After filling out all the info Dr Mokuolu didn't look at any of it, I had info from the ER of why I was there which was a serious reason, in other words bleeding from places I shouldn't. He only glanced at it said my issue was with my liver and asked me if I drank, I told him very rarely do I drink. Dr Mokuolu then asked what I drank, I told him I usually drink rum or some sort of mixed drink that has rum, but clarified I never drink to get drunk and don't ever push my boundaries with drinking. He the exclaims "OH you drink hard liquor! Well thats terrible to drink it kills you" (Yeah no shit it can be harmful) Then proceeds to continue on about the dangers of alcoholism and treated me like a vagrant you see on the streets of Las Vegas. I grew up with alcoholics in my family and found this to be extremely offensive with the way he was acting, he didn't want to talk to me about what I ate before the incident happend, he didn't even ask about any bowel movements in the past. This doctor is a fucking joke I swear he got his PHD out of some vending machine that also dispenses kindergartners graduation diploma's. So after the fact of waiting to see this doctor for an hour and a half, being insulted, freaking out that the doctor I see about this issue has more important issues like learning to tie his shoes, he cant schedule me for a colonoscopy until a month later. So this is the real shit kicker, the scheduler assured me the laxative that is prescribed is going to be sent to my pharmacy (Which I remember giving them the address for) has still not been sent. I need to start that tomorrow then have the procedure done in a couple days. So if you need to see a Gastroenterologist find another one EVEN if its outside of your insurance. He was the only one in my insurance and I regret not forking over $1000-2000 for this literal shit show of a doctors office. They don't care for your well being, only the money in their pockets. read more
