Sometimes that can be a laborious process. Not here. Followed the easy steps with easy prompts and I was done in 10 minutes. Got there on time, sat for three minutes and back I went. The first person that took my xrays was very nice and communicative. I noticed throughout my visit, that communication was important for them. Between the xray person, hygienist, and the Dentist, they explained EVERYTHING in detail. Answered all of my questions. I got a deep clean on one side, was given homework on what I needed to do, and have another appointment in 2 weeks. Great experience! read more

I cannot thank Dr Ross and her assistant Kay enough. I had an emergency situation where I broke my tooth and I was in a lot of pain and Desert Hills booked me an appointment right away. Dr Ross and Kay were amazing. The procedure went so smooth and easy. I'm writing this a day after having them work on my teeth and it's like I never broke my tooth to begin with. Pain free and you cannot tell there was ever a problem. I will be using Dr Ross only for now on. I am an 80-year-old widower. I lived my first 28 years in Chicago, the next 41 years in Silicon Valley and then retired 11 years ago to Las Vegas. So, as you can imagine I have visited numerous dentists over that time. Some good, some bad. But none as exceptional as Dr. Deborah Staten and her practice Desert Hills Dental. Yesterday she replaced three crowns that had developed cavities underneath. Because of her state-of-the-art offices and equipment, she was able to complete the task in 3 1/2 hours. Her X-ray machine is digital so she can review her work as she proceeds. She made the crowns right there in her office. Typically, using the average dentist, this would have required at least three separate appointments. But she did it in an afternoon and all three crowns fit perfectly. I am sure you've visited medical offices where you felt that the staff couldn't care less about you. Not at Desert Hills Dental. Typical modern day dental "business" practices. They will exhaust your dental coverage, add extra procedures, ask you if you're pregnant when you're clearly a male (offensive), and they do a poor job of showing or giving their customer options. For billing they will send in a lady that uses "bully" like selling tactics to capitalize on your dollar, which if you're in pain (urgency) you may succumb to. That lady's presentation and energy I find laughable in hindsight, but while I was in her presence she offended me just a tad by suggesting that I was "too young" to be missing a tooth (talk about the POT calling the kettle black). I got a bridge done. AFTER 2 MO THS CAME OFF WHILE I WAS EATING AND ALMOST SWALLOW IT. I called back them to explain what happened and that I moved out of Las Vegas and asked her to take care and they told me in a very cold way that they were not responsible and it was normal that something like that could happen. Very very disappointing...I felt like they are only after your money since I paid $4000 for a bridge that took forever to be done and came off in a short time. Today's the last day me and my son go to this office and here is why: My family have been a patients at this office for the last over three years. Every appointment we always showed up on time. Today I bring my son to his appointment at 7 AM and I asked the lady if I can cancel my 10 AM today due to I have emergency meeting for my business. They told me that I will get charged for $100 cancellation fee due to less than 24 hours notice. Accident do happen in life and things are coming up unexpected, but your dentist penalty you $100 when shirt happen in life that is not right! they just want to collect the cash and not understanding to the patient! The worst experience ever! I'm new to this clinic and came first time a few months ago to do a filling. Month later that filling came out and I had to wait for next appointment in pain to re-do it. Doctor also told me that I have to do a crown or I will lose the tooth eventually, so I scheduled an appointment. On that appointment I told the doctor that I don't feel comfortable doing the crown since she couldn't do even do the filling properly. In addition it was almost the holidays and in case a follow up is needed - everything is closed. She spoke to me for 10 mins and promised it's going to be alright. Nothing was alright! After I few hours doctor said it's all done and left saying: can't wait to have a drink after that. But her assistant kept taking x-rays of the same tooth I could tell something was wrong. She called Dr. Staten again and doctor extracted a piece of instrument that she broke during operation, left in the tooth and didn't even notice that!!! Next day I woke up with a swollen cheek and day after it got worse and I had to look for a doctor (during Thanksgiving) and take antibiotics all week. And nobody would even follow up if I was ok! After 2 months I got a bill to pay from that clinic(crown and 2 fillings $1600). I already paid my part ($400) and called insurance to see what is going on. They told me that: First: The crown was not necessary on that tooth. Just a filling would be sufficient!!! Second: for the other teeth - I already had fillings done before and the clinic was supposed to tell me up-front that insurance will not cover it again. Instead I was supposed to go to the doctor who put these fillings to re-do for free. They didn't tell me that. I came today to see what they have to say about it. They didn't care much and lied to my face that it was explained to me that I'll have to pay to whole amount. Than front desk told me it says somewhere on the paper they gave me to sign and all the stuff like that. But the worst thing, in response to me complaining about here leaving an instrument in my tooth Dr. Staten said that (I quote): "No one is f..king perfect" And she doesn't see anything wrong with me going through all that. And she said "doesn't matter, we'll send it to collections". If you know that you are far from being perfect maybe you shouldn't work as a dentist! Avoid this clinic as much as possible! read more

She will NOT listening to your concern. The way she talks to you is as She is talking to a 5 years old kid and that you are a stupid person that do NOT understand what she is talking about. She is rude and unprofessional. Her business is to place CROWNS, because they make the crowns on the site and she makes more money that way. She installed two CROWNS on me and made preparation for a third crown. One crown came off after it was put into place and six months later it came off again and She refused to put it back into place, also, she had worked the preliminary preparation for a third crown. She never told me about this work and mess up my teeth, she was supposed to do this work the following calendar year due to insurance issue and she did tell me that she never did that work. Don't waste your money in this office. If she tells you you need a crown, walk away as fast you can and save your teeth for another day. read more
