His office runs like a well-oiled machine and his entire staff is exceptionally courteous and knowledgeable. As a former Healthcare Clinic Administrator I can say with a great deal of certainty that Dr Spillers is a cut above the best out there. He did such a great job replacing my broken crown and the whole procedure was done from start to finish in under 2 hours since they are able to mill the crown in their facility. Oh man one bad review will throw you off from a business for sure. I check Yelp before I go or try anything new. So of course I took a look at this page. Saw one bad review and was a little nervous. I was nervous for nothing! The office is clean and staff is great. From the front to the back it was a pretty good visit. I really am not a fan of the dentist so I put it off as much as I possibly can... so when I noticed I needed to go in I asked around and wandered Yelp. From beginning to end it went well. They did my X-rays and cleaning no problem. The poor hygienist kept apologizing to me for my poor habit she had to clean up for me lol she was cracking me up. "Sorry for the sound sorry if you can feel this. I put numbing. Sorry it's taking me so long" Finally I told her she didn't need to apologize for anything I was completely fine and completely embarrassed of how bad I let my teeth get. The only time she mentioned anything about a product was a water pik and that I should use it and if I'd like she could talk to me about it. That was the end of the convo. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything. I saw the dentist. He was great. Told me I had a cavity and needed a little work done (to no surprise) They made my next appointment and I was on my way with a little gift cup. THE BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! I have the worst dental chair fear/anxiety and the team in this office worked like a well oiled machine to keep me calm a relaxed from the first phone call to booking my appointment, welcoming me, assisting and providing treatment for me, I was even offered nitrous (laughing gas) or conscious sedation (put me to sleep), they allowed my friend to hold my hand while they got me comfortable (I could even bring a comfort blanket). The front desk staff was so kind and assured me that I would be taken care of and took the time to explain and answer all of my questions! My assistant made me feel as if we were best friends! My provider made me feel as if he had been brushing my teeth since my first baby tooth made its appearance. If you have a fear or not; this is the place to be!!! I had oral surgery this morning at Summit Dental. I've had plenty of dental work but never have I not felt the needles when they numb you. Well today I never felt anything but pressure. Dr. Spillers crowned one tooth and then pulled another and did a bone graft to prepare for an implant. I was so nervous about all of it but it was unwarranted. I was in the chair for 2 1/2 hours but part of that time was waiting for the crown to finish. The team took their time, explained everything thoroughly, made sure I was comfortable the whole time. It was a great experience and I am one step closer to a prettier smile. I cannot recommend this office enough! read more

I tried to tell them I was a low income Veteran and they then said they also have a financial coordinator, that alone tells you they are expensive. I had been going to Summit Dental for a couple of years to get my twice a year cleaning. Every time I went in it was high-pressure cross-selling by the Hygentist. Buy this electric brush, buy a Waterpik, etc. Each time I would tell her I wasn't interested but if I wanted to buy what they were pushing on that visit, I would buy it at Costco at half the price. I could tell she was not comfortable with the cross-selling. My last visit last year my x-ray showed an abscess above one of the upper teeth next to my front teeth. I was feeling no pain and after Dr. Spillers examined it, I decided I was going to get a second opinion. It wasn't until recently that I finally could get into a different dentist because of the pandemic. He also diagnosed an abscess. So I contacted Spillers and asked what his plan of treatment was. He said that I needed two root canals, one to the tooth with the abscess, and a root canal to one of my front teeth. I was stumped on why he would do a root canal on a healthy tooth and he said he did a cold test on that tooth and it was also dead. I didn't remember any discussion of the other tooth being dead, two root canals, or even getting a cold test on that tooth so I balked, told him I didn't want the other root canal. He asked me to come in so he could do the test again. I said sure. His office called the next day to set up an appointment. I told his assistant that before I would have any work done on either tooth, I wanted a pre-authorization by my insurance company, Delta Dental. She said ok but the pre-authorization by Delta Dental would not be back by the time of the appointment so we would wait to schedule when the pre-authorization came back. Two days later I got a letter from Spillers telling me that he was releasing me as his patient. The only reason that could be is that he knew that Delta Dental was not going to approve a second root canal. If he says that was not the reason I can always attach our email exchange to this review so everyone can read it and make their own decision. Every dentist in Las Vegas that I have seen since I moved here a few years ago has the same strategy, to get the patient to opt-out of their dental insurance so they can bill more. They all say they accept Delta Dental or other dental insurances because no one with insurance would go to them if they did not, but they don't like the fee agreement so they try to get the patient to sign a document to accept the work and when the insurance only pays a tiny portion, you get suck with a big bill. I talked to Delta Dental about it and their rep says it started out with only a few dentists doing it, but now, almost all the dentists are doing it, tryin to get the patient to opt-out and pay up for services not covered. About a week later I got into another dentist, he did the cold test on about a half dozen teeth around the one with the abscess. I very much could feel cold on the healthy front tooth that Spillers wanted to do a root canal on. I got a root canal done on one tooth. read more

This practice is great! I've been coming here for my cleanings since Dr. Spillers has been here. A few months back he told me it was time to get my wisdom teeth removed. I pushed it off a month or two and suddenly realized he was right! I called and had an appointment that week. I've been coming here for more than 4 years. Though there's been a change in dentist the transition was seamless. The support staff has remained the same and they always make you feel very welcome. They treat each individual patient with nothing but professional respect. The dental assistants and hygienist are all great people and is nice dealing with them. They are always in time with getting you into a room for your appointment and start to working on you quickly. They also have kept up to date using the latest and newest technology available to improve the work done. Dr. Spillers always strive to make sure you're comfortable and is patient if he needs to wait a bit for the anesthesic to work. And if you're tense or anxious they have options for that as well. I have really bad back pain so they always confirm that I'm comfortable when they lower the exam chair. Even though we recently moved and there are dental offices closer to where we live its still definitely worth going to Summit Dental. I've recommended my wife as well and she's been going for almost as long as I have. read more

Let's start with the staff. These days, I've almost come to expect horrendous customer service from any medical staff. Almost without exception, a friend will recommend a doctor and say "but his/her staff is terrible." Summit's staff is consistently delightful; they knew me by first name after the very first visit, they greet you the second you walk through the door with a smile, and they are only too happy to help answer questions. You don't sit in the waiting room for long (provided you show up on time) and the hygienists and Dr. Spillers are fantastic. Their clear goal is to make sure you're informed, taken care of, and happy with your result. Your search for the greatest dentist (and staff) in Las Vegas STOPS HERE!! We are a military family and have been to hundreds of family dentists over the years. A majority of them were absolutely horrific --especially in Las Vegas. My husbands mouth was filled with black rotten teeth, infection, abscesses and deteriorated root canals. Every other dentist/oral surgeon that we visited advised him to rip all of his teeth out and get dentures as he was beyond repair...so we had just about given up until we found Summit Dental. On our first visit in, the staff warmly welcomed us and treated us like family. NEVER had that before. Dr. Christopher Spillers actually took the time to sit down with us in great detail and discuss a plan to help my husband get out of the excruciating pain that he had been enduring for several years. He immediately went into action and started all necessary procedures that would eventually change my husbands life. He diligently worked on him every week for over 3 months to include numerous sedations and surgeries.. And NO dentures required!! Not only did he do an absolutely perfect job, BUT he followed up with us weekly to check on my husband. IF you absolutely hate going to the dentist, you need to put that behind you and trust this man. He has been an absolute Godsend to us and we will forever be grateful. Sought a 2nd opinion: a discoloration on the tooth this dentist wanted to fill. Will not return. read more

BEST DENTIST AND HYGIENIST. I have been to way too many dentists that really hurt, but they do the BEST CLEANING of your teeth with zero pain. The hygienist is so careful with your teeth and gentle. If I needed open heart surgery, I would have her do it. Everyone here is very friendly, funny, and it makes the whole experience much more relaxing.
