Only giving them 1 star because it would not allow me to give them no starts. I am extremely disappointed and heartbroken by the condition in which my niece's keepsake hair was returned to our family. After waiting over two weeks following her passing, we were given her hair in a ziplock bag only to discover it was covered in maggots. This was supposed to be a cherished keepsake to remember our loved one, but instead it caused additional pain and distress during an already devastating time. I expected the hair to be handled, stored, and returned with dignity and care. Finding it in this condition was shocking, unacceptable, and deeply disrespectful to both my niece and our family. I hope the facility investigates how this happened and takes steps to ensure no other grieving family has to experience something like this. read more

My father has passed away in 2021. The services where very helpful and quick on getting things done in a timely manner. Very respectful on asking on family member. Everything was a great experience. Now after everything was done. The cemetery grounds, really need to be more upkeep. The watering needs to be more done on some areas than others. The water is very dirty and stains headstones. Everything that the water hits, turns brown. It's very hard to clean off and I tried many things to clean. But, it's a ongoing problem. I do try to come and visit my father above ground headstone. But, it very hard to see how cemetery don't take care of headstones. All that money spent on headstone and watching it get ruined with hard water stains. I rather have a great experience coming here and not worry about cleaning headstone every time. read more

I would like to leave a review for Raymond Valeras! We have buried my mother and father here at Desert Lawn. Living in another state has been really hard. We visit at least 3-5 times a year. We are always greeted and treated like family by Raymond. Since his employment here the premises have been immaculate and held to the upmost standards. It gives us relief to know that where we've laid our parents to rest is being very well taken care of! Thank You Raymond for being that person to us! We will forever be grateful! My brother passed away on his truck route and the coroner's office suggested we contact Desert lawn funeral home to arrange for his cremation. Desarae was amazing and empathetic to our situation. She was exceptionally helpful and guided us through every step. My five nieces had a lot of decisions to make regarding their father and Desarae guided us through every step, especially because we all lived out of state. My mom had her funeral service and interment on May 20, 2021. At the interment while my mom's casket was being lowered in front of family members and mourners, the casket fell. Linda Darrow, who is suppose to be a professional didn't know how to react. She eventually apologized to only one of the four siblings. She didn't apologize to the mourners either. As of today still no apology to the other three siblings. In addition, we're still waiting for a vase since December of 2023. We're currently in May of 2024 and still no vase. My family cannot speak highly enough of the thoughtful care and attention we received from Desert Lawn. I'm the past few months we suffered two separate losses and Ckloey at Desert Lawn was warm light in that time of darkness for us. Her empathy and attention to details helped us as we walked the path that was laid before us. While everything did not run perfectly as planned, Ckloey and the staff moved quickly adjust for the changing circumstances as best as humanly possible. They were able to help with almost every detail we could think of. A few weeks later when our family suffered a second loss, Ckloey and staff were especially sensitive and could not have been better to us. When a special request we made did not happen, we felt as is the staff was as emotional as we were over the disappointment. I would like to acknowledge Mrs Kim Dollar, the professional who helped me when my brother suddenly passed away in Arizona. I live in California, so I had to make arrangements to drive to AZ to make funeral arrangements, clean out my brother's home, and handle his personal affairs. Mrs Dollar was exceptionally kind, professional, helpful, and sensitive. Due to many reasons I chose to have my brother cremated and have his ashes sent to my home for a later memorial. I was never pressured to purchase or select an option that was beyond my means. Mrs Dollar respected my wishes and helped me complete all necessary paperwork to obtain death certificates, notify Social Security, and understand requirements for military honors. During an intensely painful time she helped me navigate difficult waters. She was also wonderful in her follow-up and reassuring me at times when I was stressed by delays beyond Desert Lawn's control. To say I am thankful for her guidance and care seems an understatement. Words cannot truly convey how important this was and how she met my every need. read more

My husband's father had recently passed away in Nevada. We wanted to have him moved from Nevada to Desert Lawn in Arizona for cremation. Who knew what a mess this was going to create. We were having difficulties getting the NV based funeral home to respond to our calls and help us work through the transfer. Emotions were raw and we were losing our cool. Desert Lawn became our salvation. They helped us to negotiate the state lines and complete the transfer. They were highly responsive to our calls, requests and most importantly our emotional needs. They did everything they said they would do. They took excellent care of my father-in-law and were incredibly kind and caring throughout the entire process. We can't thank the people at Desert Lawn (Lupida and Kim) enough for making such a trying experience, doable. read more

Very Bad Place, My mother passed away and had all the arrangements taken care of a head of time, My sister and I went down to sign all the paperwork for her cremation and they told us she would be processed within 3 to 5 days, well now it has been almost 2 weeks and they keep giving my sister the run around. So they are pretty much holding my mom hostage. I would advise everyone to look for another funeral home. read more

I can't thank Kim at Desert Lawn enough. The experience I had at Desert Lawn was so much more different than what I experienced at their competitors funeral home a few weeks prior. There was no up-selling, no smoke and mirrors, with offers of free stuff, which in the end actually cost hundreds of dollars for a free pendent. After experiencing what I did a few weeks earlier when my father passed away at the competitors establishment. I went to Desert Lawn, when my mother passed away a month later. Kim was so nice and friendly(which you'd expect at any funeral home), but it was her professionalism, her listening to what we wanted, and didn't want. There was NO up selling, no offers of free gifts, then sneaking it onto the invoice, no pushing for flower arrangements, cards, and food catering. Kim did not even mention an urn, until I brought it up. Once I did she asked questions and showed me what I had described. It was a GREAT experience having Kim handle my mother's cremation. I've lived here in Mohave Valley for 30 years, and I've passed Desert Lawn hundred of times. I called the other funeral by mistake, when my father passed, and didn't realize it until they were on the way. I certainly did not make that mistake again when my mother passed, and Desert Lawn will be the only recommendation I will give to anyone in this town. read more

My father passed and was on Hospice, Desert Lawns came out to pick him up. They were very patient and professional. Transported him out of our home in a very honorable way, he was a veteran so they made sure they brought a flag and were patient as we said our good byes. They came when they said they would be here and then carried themselves in a very professional manner. Thank you for your help. read more
