Really nice location. My appointment was for 10:20am on 1/25/22, I arrived at 10:10am. I was called up within 5mins to complete my paperwork. After, I sat for maybe 30seconds, I was called back for my MRI. The technicians were really nice and explained everything in detail. Once in the room, I was asked what kind of music I wanted to listen to while the MRI was happening...I selected 'Ocean Waves' The process was no longer than 30 mins. I was asked a few times if I was ok, and of course I was. I have had an MRI before so I kind of knew what to expect. Thank you to the staff! Definitely Recommend. My husband had an appointment on 4/24/25 his copay was supposed to be 5.00. The front desk insisted on collecting 175.00 before they would do the scan. He had a second scan on 6/6/25. No copay collected after 20 minutes with billing who still had not refunded his 170.00 owed. The scan on 6/6/25 was denied by insurance for late filing. Billing decided to apply MY HUSBANDS credit of 170.00 to that. I'm not sure that is legal, since according to insurance we owe nothing. I'll investigate that angle. I have called 8 times so far to get his refund processed back to him. I would avoid this facility due to poor billing practices. It is clear that department needs more training. read more

Disappointing Experience with Customer Service on the phone - Desert Radiology I'm extremely frustrated with my recent experience trying to schedule an appointment with Desert Radiology. I was on hold for 51 minutes, which is already unacceptable for a medical facility. When someone finally answered, I struggled to understand her due to a very strong accent. I repeatedly explained that I was having trouble understanding her--not because of any hearing issues, but because of the clarity of communication. Instead of showing understanding or offering help, she asked if I had a hearing problem, which felt dismissive and inappropriate. This experience left me feeling unheard and disrespected. It's incredibly frustrating that medical providers continue to outsource essential communication to call centers where clear English communication becomes a barrier, especially when dealing with something as important as healthcare. Patients deserve better--respectful, accessible, and effective service from the first point of contact. Unfortunately, this was not it. read more

Went to the facility on Wynn. My co-pay was supposed to be $100, but they charged me $500. The billing services, which is located in the Philippines, has no connection between the billing company and Desert radiology. Now I'm getting bills for a $100 co-pay, when they should be reimbursing $400 for an overpayment. Their records show no payment was made. Trying to speak to their billing company in the Philippines is a disaster. They have no idea what payments were actually made. The representative kept referring to the back room staff. Not sure what that means. They said they were not able to call their own client- desert radiology - to verify the payment that I made. They're billing company said they have no access to payment made at the facility. Does this make any sense? I believe their appointment system is also through the Philippines as well. Not if there's anything wrong with it. But they should be able to have a smooth connection between themselves and the provider. Good luck with them. Desert Radiology is at the bottom of any list of medical service providers! 1) making appointments is incredibly difficult as phone staff is difficult to reach, seemly poorly trained, and facilities are never available in a reasonable timeframe 2) I had two STAT orders that took two (2) months to get on DR schedule 3) one of these orders not being available required an ER visit 4) the other STAT order required a ten (10) week wait time 5) the email reminder said 6:00 am check in time when office doesn't open until 6:15 6) the calendar update had a map pin incorrectly placed 4 miles away at a vacant lot I highly recommend that Pueblo Imaging or Steinberg Diagnostics be used instead of DR read more

Arrived for x-ray. They could not find my referral which had been sent. Called the Dr office. They faxed the referral twice and an after an hour DR still couldn't find it. Finally got a verbal, then waited to be checked in. Watched the girls in the cubicles that were supposed to be checking in patients. They chatted with each other, sipped their drinks. One chatted with a patient she obviously knew for over 30 min! I finally got up and told them I'd been waiting a long time and they checked me in just like that. The waiting room is split so you have to go back and forth to do each part of check in. Terrible for those of us with limited mobility. Way WAY too many people waiting! Not enough chairs. I was scheduled for a 6:30 am appointment . I was reminded to come in at 6:10 am . I was waiting outside in the cold at 6:10 - the receptionist was there it took her 10 minutes to unlock the door . To tap it all she let a "homeless" individual come inside with me . I did not feel safe at all . How did I know he was not a patient ? He asked me what this office was . He was allowed to stay at the lobby area . The parking lot - had a lot of paper trash - unacceptable!!!! Who knows my private records could be one of those laying around at the parking lot . i always try to book an appointment based on my docs referral. everytime i deal with this company, they always tell me they don't have the referral. I need a brain MRI for a serious problem. I spend my days calling them trying to get the aqppointment and my doc has sent the referral in twice and said we can give you a copy of referral and go in directly. Desert does not allow that. THE PHILLIPINES IS WHO YOU SPEAK TO. They know nothing. Absolutely horrible. I just left a message with my doc and said refer me to Pueblo, they never have these problems. Desert Radiology, Poor Service at Cathedral Rock location I have been going to DR for 20 years. It used to be a nice place to get X-rays and CT's. Let me be clear, the tech's in the back are excellent but not the girls in the front. In the past 5-10 year's it's no longer the same friendly place. Something happened. The girls at the front are not friendly, when you walk in, they look at you with an attitude like, why are you here, why are you bothering me? There is no "Hi, how can I help you." I've been a business owner and in the marketing arena for 55 years, have had and trained many hundreds of employees, but these girls need a trophy to exemplify just how bad they really are. Today was it! I'd had enough. They messed up my doctor's order and made me jump through numerous hoops, which I did, making phone calls and getting a fax sent, which they said they never received, and even then, they were giggling which appeared that they were going to mess with me even more and leave me sitting in the waiting room forever. So, I told them they were the worst company representatives I've ever met and that I was done with Desert Radiology. And walked out. I will never go back. Big corporations can attract this type of employee, which is not good. It's so easy to maintain that small town friendliness which starts from the top. Terrible experience! The scheduling is outsourced to a foreign country in which they scheduled an incorrect procedure different from the doctors orders which took several calls to correct. Then they took payment on the date of service and never applied it to the account and proceeded to bill us for the full insurance contracted amount without any credit for the previous payment made. The billing department in the Philippines was completely useless. The reviews ALL indicate it is time for DR to cut ties with their outsourced scheduling and billing companies!! read more

First, these people don't explain the process for the test they're about to perform, making you feel like a lab rat, thus showing no respect for the person. The woman who took my blood stuck me several times in my arm without finding a vein. She asked for help from a man there who stood beside her & watched as she stuck me again, still not finding a vein, it was extremely painful. She didn't care. The man then found the vein by this time I was exhausted & extremely upset. After the dye entered my body, he asked me to open my hand, I sensed I didn't do it fast enough to which he repeated in an annoyed voice to open my hand. I have arthritis in my hand, making it difficult to open. This was my second time being there for the same test because the same woman couldn't find a vein & I could not tolerate her repeated sticking me, so I left & rescheduled hoping she would not be there the next time. Lots of older people frequent this facility, no one should be treated like that. read more

I had a referral from a physician for a CT scan at Desert Radiology. I was told by the referring physician that I would get a call from DR in a few days. A week later they hadn't called, so I gave them a call. The person to whom I spoke said they don't call anymore. They're too busy. OK. I made my appointment with her and she gave me some prep instructions. I asked if she could email me the instructions so I would have the full prep notes but she told me they didn't have email. Ludicrous! I went today for my 11 o'clock appointment. I was given some papers to fill out--much less than most doctors' offices. I couldn't fill out the insurance section because they had the card from when I checked in and got the papers. I was told to have a seat and wait until my name was called. When I was called, I told her I didn't put the insurance info down as she had the cards. She said not to worry. We have it! At most places she would have been terminated on the spot for dereliction of duty. But they did have it three times--from my appointment scheduling call, from the faxed referral sheet from the doctor, and from my card. In a short time, I was called for the scan. There were two perople working in this area. A woman told me where to get on the table and she inserted the cannula and got me set up. A man then came into the room and explained the procedure. He also told me what to expect when the dye was injected. I had been apprehensive because two freinds had made posts on FB this week saying their CT scans were the worst 15 minutes of their lives. The man immediately lowered my anxiety level with his complete descriptions and genial manner. The first scans were done and then he injected the dye. After waiting, some more scans were done and I was on my way. I was almost home in just over an hour. If anyone from DR reads Yelp reviews, employees like the two that worked the scan area on Thursday, September 30th at 11 AM, are a huge asset to your company! The staff was nice and I guess waiting half an hour isn't too horrible. The front office staff was a bit chatty and made it hard for patients to hear their names called. There is plenty of signage where to check in and where to go and waite to be called. The layout is just a little odd. You check in by the exit and enter at a larger desk where they call you to head back. The x ray technician was very nice and answered all my questions and was very gentle with my foot. read more

Always a frustrating experience when dealing with Desert Radiology. When making an appointment I have had to call multiple times because many times I get disconnected while waiting on hold. When I finally was able to speak with someone after an hour, I could hardly understand their English and was told that I had to call my doctor for some reason I could not understand. I got so frustrated I just hung up. The last time I had an appointment I checked in at the front desk and then waited for over an hour in the waiting room. I've been going to Desert Radiology other locations for years. I have had multiple MRIs, spinal tap, mammograms, CT scans, dexa scans. You have made a LOT of money off of me. So when it takes over an hour to make an appointment for a mammogram, that is really angering. But the best part of it is that I get to the mammogram appt., wait past my appt. time, and then am told they can't do it because they have to do a follow up from the last one. This is not my first rodeo with mammograms with you, and at least 3 mammograms since 2022 I have gotten a mammogram with DR, there was a finding, and my breast surgeon did the ultrasound. EVERY TIME. And you see this doctor's patients ALL THE TIME (Dr. El Eid). No matter how much I explained this to Buthena they wouldn't do my scan. I wasted the hour on the phone scheduling it AND over an hour driving from Summerlin and sitting there only to be told they wouldn't do it. Fine, I will never return and I will give another radiology place all my business. And you have Buthena to thank for that. I highly suggest others go elsewhere too. read more

Ugh, Where to start! I need to schedule an appointment! 1.) don't try calling the one 800 number you're not going to get through; nobody answers; you sit on hold. 2.) Don't try going into one of the offices of their many locations to schedule an appointment; you have to wait an hour and a half to two hours to schedule an appointment, not even a same-day appointment, just an appointment a couple of weeks out. 3.) How about trying online to schedule an appointment? Oh, they have to call you back. Then when they schedule you from the online appointment, they schedule you at one location and tell you it's a different location and then cancel the appointment. So then you have to start over with number one, go to number two and then get number three and repeat again. If you can finally get in for an appointment, don't expect it to be on time; they tell you to show up 20 minutes early; you could be sitting there for an hour and a half to two hours after your appointment time. Wow, you finally get in; congratulations, now the staff is good. Once you get past the front desk, the check-in, the insurance, the telephone calls, the technicians are absolutely fabulous and spot on. Are they really worth all of this hassle? Went on 6/20/25 to get two ultrasounds. Paid $373. When we got to the ultrasound room, the tech said that they could only do one of the utlrasounds. I called the next day to get the money back for the ultrasound they didn't do. I was told that I can't get a refund until the payment makes it to the billing department. Called back 3 days later. Same thing. Called back 3 days after that. They told me that it usually takes 7-14 business days for the payment to reach them. Called yesterday 7/7, and was told they have the money, but they won't refund me for the ultrasound they DIDN'T do until the EOB comes back for the ultrasound they did do. They told me to call back when I got the EOB. I got the EOB today showing my portion was only $50 and called back. They had me email the EOB and then told me it would take 7-14 business days for them to get it because the email doesn't go to them. I asked for a supervisor. I waited on hold for 30 minutes and the supervisor told me that she can open an investigation (7-10 business days), but I need the original receipt proving that I paid the $373, and the procedure code for ultrasound he DIDN'T do (how am I supposed to know this information?) to even open it. This is a nightmare and they are holding $323 of my money for no reason and making it impossible to get back. read more

DO NOT USE THIS CLINIC! ANY LOCATION. Go to STEINBERG. Desert's system and employees are imcompetent. Last Friday, the fertility clinic I go to sent a referral over to Desert. I had to make this appt before monday the 19th or else I have to wait a whole month before being able to get this procedure. I called monday early afternoon and waiting on the phone for 45 minutes, for them to just tell me oh they do not have the referral. Unfortunately with the timing with work and being on the phone for so long, I could not call my fertility place before they closed to have them send it again. When I called Desert the next morning, they said they still have not received it but I needed to make a profile before they are able to receive any referral, why didnt they tell me this before?! I made the profile, they said call back later to check. I called and waiting another 45 minutes before someone picked up all for them to tell me no they still have not received it. That was 403pm when I got off the call and my fertility placed closed. I had to go into my fertility office for another procedure the next morning where I then told them Desert still had not received my referral and they were APPALLED. They sent TWO more referrals to Desert(the 3rd time sending over a referral). I gave Desert a call after my appt and waited on the phone again for 40 minutes before someone answered. They STILL hadn't received the referral and the employee told me oh it must be our new system, wtf?? He was trying to be nice and said he would make the appt anyways and for me to email the referral, like why couldn't this have been done before. He made the appt and they were able to get me in today (the coming friday) I had to cancel other appts and move things around to make it work, because THIS WAS SO IMPORTANT TO ME, so I did whatever it took to do so. Today (friday), my uber was 2 minutes away at 1230pm (I had to take uber there and back due to having to take pain meds for the painful procedure), they called me to say oh they made a mistake and scheduled the wrong procedure. They said there was nothing they can do and I had to wait a whole month before getting this procedure, you can imagine how upset I was and tried to figure out what they can do and refused to get off until there was an absolute answer. I stayed on the phone for another hour for them to just tell me they aren't able to do it at all. Again, do not go here, STEINBERG is so much better. This has been the worse experience EVER for something that should be very simple. As someone who has been going through a lot, to put people through all of this and spending HOURS upon HOURS on the phone to deal with this stress is ridiculous. I am not one to complain I understand things can be hard but this was honestly ridiculous in so many ways. From hours on hours on the phone to making BIG mistakes, this shouldn't happen. Medical things can be very sensitive to certain populations and they need to figure out how to better support their patients. I made the grave miscalculation of trusting Desert Radiology. In the beginning of May 2024 I scheduled a CTA with Runoff for Peripheral arterial disease leg ulcer, left . I was made to wait till Friday, June 21st to get this done. Your scheduling department choose the date, time, and location (Eastern Ave Friday, June 21st. 8:45 AM. The Friday was at my insistence as I am off on Mondays and Fridays. After being made to wait 5 + weeks, I was called on Thursday , June 13th, to notify me that my June 21st appt was cancelled (because the Director authorized the employee to have the day off and there was no other employee that could perform this function. After much harassment, I was reschedule for Monday, the 17th (today). When I arrived at the Eastern facility and waited 20 minutes in line to check in, I was told no they changed the appoint to Monday the 24th. I stated, "THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE I WAS SCHEDULED TO LEAVE TOWN FOR WORK REQUIREMENT THAT WOULD KEEP ME OUT OF TOWN TILL AUGUST". In addition, I had to take off work early on Thursday the 13th because I had to have blood lab work completed which to my financial problems had to be completed. Finally another employee stepped in to assist to discover that the procedure I was in need of being completed is never completed at that Facility. At this point I really have to question the incompetency of your employees and staff, that they do not even know what procedures are performed at what facility? The next question, is how many people need to die before Desert Radiology is called to task for the incompetency of it's employees and staff. The level of service and quality of service is truly NOT ACCEPTABLE! In the belief of fairness, I am not only notifying you, but the Better Business Bureau, The State of Nevada's Governor's Office and Insurance Fraud division, the US Medicare medical fraud division, and another agencies I am referred to. there are TOO TOO many people in the State of Nevada unemployed for companies to allow such incompetency especially in the medical fields. read more

After waiting weeks for an appointment I arrived for my 12:20 appointment at 12:15. This is one of those offices with the 10 pages of redundant check in information you have to fill out and they would benefit greatly from upgrading to the 2000's. Anyhow... Waited in their freezing lobby for 30 minutes and went outside for a minute to defrost. When I come back in, they say "oh we called you." Um yeah... again... I wait in lobby another 30 minutes until I'm pretty much an ice cube, and go outside to defrost for a minute only to walk back inside to "we called you." Again. I'm not believing it, but okay. So now it is 1 hour and 25 minutes past my appointment time and I'm still in the freezing AF lobby. They just let me know... "15 or 20 more minutes." Yay. What's worse, my deductible was $300. It would have been less expensive and more convenient to just hit up a quick care with a $250 deductible and I wouldn't have had to wait weeks. I'm wondering how this place is in business TBH. If you need X-ray, you can just walk in. We came here to get X-ray for my husband. Appointments are needed for MRI or CT scan. I was hoping the experience here would be as great as the location on cimarron. Sadly it was just ok. The check in person took the longest time to register, she couldn't find the doctor that ordered the X-ray, instead of asking someone to help her she just kept us waiting for almost 30 mins before we could be registered. The person who did X-ray was ok. Told us to wait 15 mins to get the disc. After waiting almost 30 mins, still no disc. Had to walk to to front desk and request again and then she got it. I scheduled an angiogram a month before; 1.5 hours before I was to arrive (which is the time that it would take me to drive there, as I live in Pahrump), I got a call saying that I would have to reschedule my appointment because "the machine was down". Really??? Did it "go down" 30 minutes before you called me? Before I fasted for 4 hours, took a shower, rearranged my schedule to be on time for my appointment? Why is their time more important than the patients' time? When I asked if there was another location (they have 4) that would accommodate me today, they said "no" - first available appointment was 3 weeks out. I said that I had a cardiologist appointment scheduled for next week, to discuss the results of this test - TOO BAD!!! I hung up..... D.R. phone scheduling reps involved: 3/4/24 Ryan (male) 3/15/24 Mar (female) This review is for their scheduling department which should be referred to as "Department of Redundancy Department". On 3/1/24, I had a recorded message on my phone to call to schedule an appointment. On 3/4/24, I called and had to listen to elevator music for 15-20 mins. Then I spoke with Ryan (male). He said he had the referral from my doctor for a CT scan. He asked me questions for about 15 - 20 mins, just confirming the info he ALREADY HAD was correct. I asked Ryan to schedule me for the 3025 S. Rainbow location. He said someone would call me back with the scheduled date and time. On 3/14/24, received phone msg to call for an appointment. On 3/15 at about 12:30 pm, I called and again listened to elevator music for about 15 mins. I then spoke with Mar (female), who again asked the same questions as Ryan. After about 7 mins, I told Mar that this is an instant replay of the conversation I had with Ryan 11 days ago. I ask to speak with the office manager. Mar said there is no office manager. So I told Mar that after I get the appointment, I will post my complaint to YELP. The questions and answer session continued to the end (AGAIN). I finally got the appointment. Mar then apologized profusely and assured me this mistake wouldn't happen again. I advised Mar that she should refrain from saying that to dissatisfied customers because is not in a position to prevent future mistakes. Either RYAN dropped the ball or the Scheduling SYSTEM dropped the ball. Somebody in DR Scheduling needs to FIX THE PROBLEM. P.S. In all the years that I have done lab tests within three different states - this company has been the absolute WORST in terms of scheduling and overall customer service I don't even fault the employees but rather those in upper management, which I'm sure they're unaware of what is happening. Poor customer service and lengthy time to get results! When you call, be ready to wait 15-20 minutes before anyone even answers the phone to schedule the appointment. Also, I had an appointment 7/8 for an ultrasound. DR called me the morning of 7/8 and said their tech had called off so they needed to reschedule my appt. the earliest they could reschedule me was 7/15. The morning of 7/15 they called me and needed to adjust my appt time because the tech was late. I called 7/22 to get my results and medical records stated that they were behind and that my ultrasound had not even been read yet. It's 7/24 and I still have no answers. I will never return for any radiological services here at DR and do not recommend them. Very unprofessional, unorganized and still have not provided the results. read more
