Just to make sure our story is clear, in case this isn't resolved and paid for fully. How does the same issue keep occurring for well over a year now??? We've never resolved the underlying issue and this has been misdiagnosed by your shop numerous times and after getting me to spend thousands more on parts and labor weather that's through you or another shop there needs to be accountability somewhere when it's being diagnosed and looked at by your shop before anything happened. Your shop has its name on the strut mounts, shocks, springs wheels, tires, lower control arms & ball joints, bushings basically the entire suspension was to a T what you guys told me would resolve my issue and you validated all the work done prior while blaming other professionals, then look, same issue you blamed others for is STILL happening after you supposedly fixed it again and shit ride is still occurring, this is 1000% on desert rat at this point. I've never had a shittier ride experience on normal roads my entire life and has been the biggest nightmare. I'll keep submitting reviews and protesting this until resolution, I'm going to submit a notice to better business bureau as well as it seems I'm paying for professional services and they are screwing over their customers like me. We recently bought a lifted Wrangler out in California and drove it back to Arizona. The Jeep obviously had some alignment problems, the handling was just awful. So, we took it to Desert Rat. The guys were very helpful, Bill is a real character :) They made a few adjustments to the suspension and for only an hours labor and a couple small parts the Jeep handles like a BMW. ! Stay away! I got a 6" fabtech lift on my 06H2 hummer, was told it would take two weeks, turned into 12 days, went to pick up, pulled hard to the left, made rattling noise underneath. Took back to the shop and told them and saw the new driveshaft was in my box of old stuff,asked why and they said it didn't fit and used my old one instead. That's what was making the noise., They fixed the driveshaft but then when I turn corners back tires rub. Ended up taking it to there mesa shop who fixed it. I still have the transmission guard uninstalled because they have to notch it to fit. They were polite but I would stay away if you are wanting a lift. read more

4.5" longarm lift kit install...They do not know how to keep an appointment. They called the day before I was supposed to drop it off to tell me they can't handle the workload, so then they rescheduled me to another date and location and also changed their initial quote to way too many hours. Well they just did it to me again on the reschedule. So, I fired them before they could spew anymore lame excuses as to why they can not keep a schedule that they made. I had some prior work done on my Jeep at this location and had reasonable results. Unfortunately my recent experience was terrible, dropped Jeep to have lift kit and wheels put on. They called me before original appointment and had to move me out a few weeks. I bring the Jeep in on a Monday evening Jeep is supposed to be completed on Wednesday evening. No call, so I call on Thursday they are still working on it. Then I call Friday morning, they tell me it is out for a test drive. I call back Friday afternoon they are not done and will call me back. They call me back and have to bring it somewhere else to have alignment done on Saturday. They tell me it will be done Saturday morning. Once again no call Saturday morning, I call in at 12 still trying to get alignment done. I am still waiting to see when I will get the Jeep back. The most frustrating part of this is the lack of communication and the attitude of a number of the people I spoke with (Troy in particular). If you are not qualified to do lift kits then do not provide the services!!! I have been as flexible as possible and gave this shop over 10K in business. I will take my business elsewhere, hopefully I get the Jeep back and the work they did do was done competently. read more

Absolutely love these guys! They were very pro and never tried to sell me things I did not need. I told them I was new and they only steered me in the right direction. I checked out all competitors, and they were the best. Everyone else did not take the time to educate me like these guys did. 6 stars if I could help it ! I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this location, the owner or anyone involved with this place. They went above and beyond, to address my concerns and even contacted the manufacturer of the product they installed to get everything fixed and done right. In short, they do whats right for the customer and go out of their way to get it done and if it is something they do not know or do they are open and up front about it. The owner has to be by far the nicest man I have had to speak to. Not only did he go out of his way to call and address my concerns but he was genuine and sincere in the way he spoke and addressed my concerns. I really cannot say anything more than I am a fan. If I ever have a auto concern anytime now I would most definitely go to them first. Also way better prices than some others in town on top of it all. Needed new front shocks for my 06 Silverado. Called Bill a couple weeks back and based on our conversation, recommended the Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks. I rolled in and told him I was ready to buy them. Although Rancho increased the price like 15% over what he quoted me on the phone, he honored the price he gave me on the phone. That is straight up good business! When I asked him about their return policy, he said if the shocks look new and you bring them back in the original box, they will refund your purchase if they do not fit properly. read more

Had my front end of my Chevy 2500HD in a different shop and they replaced everything. After it was finished I kept having alignment issues with it and they could never get it fixed. I talked to Austin here at the bell road store and he had Eric the tech look at it. The last shop had the alignment way off to the point where it wore my tires uneven plus they left my lower control arms loose. He figured out quickly that the last shop did a terrible job. He was able to fix the alignment and and get my truck driving better then its ever been. It you need anything truck related I would go talk to Austin at the bell road store and have Eric do all the work. read more

I've had two encounters with the store on 22nd in Tucson and was not happy either time. The first time was on a 2012 Rubicon looking for a lift kit for more serious off roading. After explaining my wishes for a suspension that was geared more for off road than on they would not stop pushing a wimpy AEV kit. TCR II got my business on that occasion. More recently I inquired about a winch for my JL Rubicon. I was quoted prices that were higher than on their own web site and well above every other seller plus their installation fees were exorbitant. Did it myself and saved over $600. I very much prefer supporting local businesses but I just can't recommend these guys. read more

Stay away from Desert Rat!!! Highly disappointed!!! I recently attended the Overland Expo west and Desert Rat had a booth there. I drove 1,200 miles round trip to specifically buy an ARB Classic Series 2 freezer 50qt. I told the guy that I wanted the Classic Series freezer 2 50qt and a transit bag, and that I would pay in cash, and asked for a discount because I was paying in cash. He said he could give me a free transit bag. I couldn't take my merchandise up to the register, because it wasn't available to me to do so, so I didn't know what I was paying for, other than what I thought was to be the ARB Classic Series 2 freezer 50qt. And I thought I was receiving a transit bag for free, because I had made a deal with the guy - because I was paying in cash. After driving 600 miles back home, I discovered that they had sold me the wrong one that I had specifically told them I wanted. They sold me the Classic Series 1 and gave me a free transit bag. They had a show special, that if you bought a Classic series 1, they would throw in a transit bag free just for buying the older version. I didn't want the older version, I wanted the newer version, and specifically told them what I wanted. I didn't get what I wanted, nor did I get a free deal like we had discussed. After contacting Desert Rat, they are trying to tell me that I need to pay for shipping, to return my freezer that they made a mistake on selling me. I would really like the Classic Series 2 50qt and Classic Series 2 transit bag, but they are also trying to tell me that I need to pay extra in order to exchange the older version for the newer version. That shouldn't be on me, that should be on them for making the mistake. I am highly disappointed with Desert Rat, and will no longer be a customer of theirs. I would also advise you, as a customer, who is reading this, to think twice before doing business with these guys as they may try and sell you something you don't want, or secretly charge you extra. read more

Sales guy Matt was nice. Got a phone call telling me it would be a thousand dollars more because of some rusted parts. At first I said put it back the way it was, but he said he couldn't because a couple of the parts needed to be replaced either way (a real pro would've looked at the truck thoroughly before giving me a bid). I reluctantly said go ahead. Something didn't feel right so stopped by the shop in person the next day. The truck was complete sitting in a corner. Told me they used some special line to free the rusted parts. When I picked up the truck, it was approx $300 more than the estimate. But the worst part is when I drove the truck the front tires rub against the fender and they removed the mud flaps without consulting me. Ironic since they assured me I could do a larger tire but I went smaller to be safe. I would never go back. The fact they never communicated to me at pick up tells me that they would do anything for a buck. read more

Don't take your vehicle here! I took my 2016 JK in to get a new grill, lift, tires and wheels. The customer service was horrible trying to book the appointment, the parts didn't come in when they said they would and they didn't let me know- even though I called the night before to make sure everything was good since someone from work was coming to pick me up. They DAMAGED the paint on my Jeep when installing the grill (which they never completed the install on) and I had to take it to the dealer's collision center for 3 days to fix the damaged paint. I also had to take it somewhere else afterwards to get the tires balanced properly, only to find out the tires they sold me were out of round. Then, when looking into the warranty for the tires, I noticed on page 2 of the receipt they entered my Jeep had 21,000 miles when it actually should have been over 45,000 so the pro-rate on the warranty was basically nothing. This was nothing short of Fraud! read more
