The XACTIM8R. Building done by Jason Seamons at Absoltue Off Road. Can't believe the difference from stock when we purchased it.

Wife and I always wanted and Wrangler and for whatever reasons unknown to us, life brought us to a point to make it possible. Jason Seamons from Absolute Offroad did his magic and turned a typical Pavement Princess into The XACTIM8R!! Thank you so much Jason for all your experience and guidance. You are the only one we will ever let touch her. Perfect

After buying my jeep, I started asking around to find a reputable shop with fair prices. Jason/Absolute Offroad came up a few times so I gave them a try for a bumper/winch/lightbar/skid plate project. He took almost an hour helping me choose the right parts for what I was looking to do... and helped me steer clear of things I'd regret later. Now that I'm more experienced offroad, it's clear his advice was spot on. The price was very fair and more importantly, they did an amazing job on the installation. I came back 6 months later for a rear bumper/tire carrier/suspension lift/regear/wheels/tires/fender flares. Again, we discussed and designed the build in detail, the price was great and the installation was excellent and quick. I'd highly recommend giving this shop a try.

We have used Absolute Offroad for a few services and I am beyond impressed with the informative and helpful staff. They have always steered us in the right direction and are a wealth of knowledge. Follow through and dependability is essential in my opinion when considering good customer service. These guys deliver! Thanks Guys!

    Wheel Studs too short

It has taken me months to finally decide that leaving a review is the right thing to do. His work is not safe, or neat and he does not finish, in my experience. I'll provide some examples From the beginning I told him I wanted an overbuilt jeep that was safe and quiet, because I was usually out either alone or with my father. I am in my early 50's and my father in his 70's and we needed to be sure we could get back safely. 1. Jason installed Yukon axle shafts in the rear axle. When they put in the new wheel studs they only protruded 5/8 of an inch. After the wheel was installed that left only about 2-3 threads for the lug nut to grab hold of. They over tightened the lugs because I believe they knew there were not enough threads to properly secure the wheel (see Photo) 2. UNFORGIVEABLE - I paid A LOT of money to put a Rock Krawler lift on my Jeep at Jason's recommendation. The bar that goes from the top of front diff to the Rock Krawler belly pan has a large bolt holding it on. When they put that bolt in it pressed against the brake line along the frame causing it to wear. THE BRAKE LINE!!!! Meaning, I could have lost brakes coming down one of our Arizona mountains. I caught it in time (see Photo) 3. I had Jason put in a heavy-duty steering kit. And then later the Rock Krawler lift. Jason did not install the drop pitman arm or the front drag link from the new kit. He did not give me the new parts. 4. We had agreed on a price for the lift kit including exhaust. He asked me if I wanted it loud or quiet. I again told him quiet. When I went to pick it up he said the muffler shop increased their price $100 and asked for another $100. I paid it. I started it up and it was very loud. Jason said take it back to his muffler guy and the owner of the muffler shop said there was nothing he could do and he told me that Jason had even complained to him about Jason's personal jeep with the same lift being too loud. That means HE KNEW it was going to be loud. 5. Jason offered to install a new muffler to try to quiet down the exhaust. He did but what he welded on was a USED/Rusty glass pack muffler and he kept the brand new one I had just paid for and it was no quieter. 6. He put RCV axle shafts in the front of my jeep. When I got it back the seals were leaking Jason said it would fix it for another $200. 7. When he put the lift on he had to replace the brake lines to the extended brake lines. The front drivers side leaks since new.... See Photo. 8. He left the emergency brake cable brackets unsecure. 9. The Rock Krawler joints were defective from the factory. Keep in mind, my lift was brand new. Jason said, yep, they are part of a recall, call this guy and they will send you some more. I called and they sent them. Jason never offered to replace them even for a fee. Rock Krawler would not pay for the replacement so I spent the weekend doing it myself. 10. I almost forgot this one - After Jason installed the 1-Ton steering in my jeep, I paid him and left the shop. I went down the road and got on the 101 and I could not get my jeep to drive in a straight line. I called him after I pulled over and was told that this was normal it would just take some time for everything to seat. I said no, this is worse than that so he said bring it back. I took it back and they tried to convince me it was ok. Finally, he had one of his employees drive it and when he came back, he looked past me straight at Jason and shook his head "no." I knew something was wrong. They took it back and said that one of the new tie rods had broken and they had never seen that before. It was bad from the moment I took it, did they not test it? He did order a new part and fixed it at no extra cost. He told me to drive it home and come back when they had the part. I asked whether or not it was safe and he said it was do I drove it home. 11. This is minor but they never removed the bracket from the front of my axle when putting on the lift kit. They just abandoned it. The safety issues with my Jeep are unforgivable. I spent a lot of money at his shop and now I am spending a lot of money to fix his work. This time I am doing it myself so I KNOW it is right. I am slow and not a professional but I care a great deal about the safety and quality of the work so I am slowly getting it all fixed. I have to recommend absolutely, without a doubt, do yourself a favor and stay away from this shop!!! Whatever you do, STAY AWAY from the Rock Krawler suspension.

I wasn't going to write a review about my experience, but my friend has since had 2 similar…read moreexperiences here so I feel like people should know. I am extremely hesitant to bring my car to a mechanic shop normally because my dad typically fixes my cars for me. I wanted to give him a break so that is what lead me here. A little over a year ago I brought my car in for a horrible noise it was making. They diagnosed it and over $1,000 later I got the call my car was fixed and ready. As I was driving away, the same very glaring and obvious noise happened even before I left the parking lot. I called and let them know it was still making the noise so they had me bring it back the next day. I went on a drive with one of the mechanics so I could make sure they knew what noise I was talking about. They kept my car, put some oil/lubricant on a few things, and said good to go. Again, my car made the noise as I drove out of the parking lot. I called again to tell them it was still making the noise and I was told, "I don't know what to tell you, your car is old and we could spend years looking for what is causing the noise." And that was it. No offer to try to figure it out and I've now spent the money I barely could afford as a single mom and my car is not fixed. And I don't have the additional funds at the time to take it elsewhere because I spent it with them. Here I am, over a year later and the car is still making the noise because I'm nervous about trying at another mechanic. My friend over the past year has had two very similar experiences where the initial issue was not fixed at first and she has had to go back. She had to pay for the non-fixes and again for the going back to actually get it fixed. I have no doubt the work they did on my car was done properly, however it was not the right work or the fix for my issue. The employee even said he thought what they replaced looked like it had already been replaced before (like it was not the original part). I feel like that should have raised a flag that maybe it wasn't the part that needed replacing. I would use caution when considering going here.

Always a good experience - they know what they are doing and good with communication.read more

Wow! This is my new mechanic. I am blown away by his service and value…read more I brought my teenage son's 2015 Hyundai Accent in that wouldn't start at 10:30 AM and Joe and his crew had it fixed by 3:30 PM. Initially, he explained the possible problems that might be occurring and informed me of an engine recall on my particular model. (A fact I had not leanred over many visits to dealerships through the years.) When they later got around to diagnosing, he patiently explained the situation and that it just started up repeatedly without fault. He said that I could come pick it up. Not wanting an unreliable car, I solicited and took his expert suggestion that it was likely the fuel pump. He had to have it delivered and I casually mentioned that I was hoping it would be ready for my son to drive it away after school at 3:30 PM. He indicated at it'd probably be more like 5 PM, which was still a fast turnaround. I got his call at 3:30 as I was picking up my son from his school and preparing to drive him to his job. Underpromise and overdeliver--that's the mark of a great mechanic! The part and labor was very reasonable: under $600. My son said it's like it's a new car so Joe's expert suggestion was exactly right! Joe's got all my future business.
