i won a tour for 6 people and it was the best gift I ever received. All the businesses we ate and walked to were amazing. The art work displayed in Palm Springs was joyful and inspiring. I was stuffed from delicious appetizers pizza tacos and dessert. Schedule your tour today it's well worth it.

We took my Mom to Palm Springs for her birthday. Having been on our first food tour in Scottsdale back in January; which was amazing. We now try to look for food tours when we visit new cities. The tour promised food and history of the area. Our tour guide was an older gentleman (I don't want to use his real name). Let's call him, "Joe". Well, Joe didn't give you enough time to just enjoy eating and chatting with the other people on tour. Every time we sat down to eat, he passed around old photos and newspaper clippings. It was like he wanted to tell us, everything- I mean everything. When there could have been more moments to let us all relax and enjoy chatting about the food. Joe also had a challenging time remembering different words and/or phrases. Thankfully there was a nice lady on our tour who helped him out 90% of the time. He would get kinda of frustrated when he couldn't remember and would look at us like it was our fault. He explained to us at the end of the tour that he had fallen and his mind wasn't working as great as it had been before. I mean I have compassion (especially for older people - I take care of my grandmother full-time), but we still had to pay full price. He said Desert Tasty knew about his condition and still allowed him to work. Well, they should've had another tour guide work alongside him. Now for the food! Please see ratings with photos. The places were all really nice with the exception of the pizza place. They had the most lack luster presentation - the tables weren't ready when we got there and they only gave us water and one slice of a Mediterranean style pizza that some didn't really enjoy. A super fun highlight was Brandini Toffee. Hearing how the company was started by two teenage boys was really cool. The host there was so fun and informative and he gave us delicious samples. I wouldn't even consider myself a toffee aficionado, but maybe that was because I never had Brandini Toffee. Yum! Overall, I would rate the tour guide a 2/5 and the food experience a 4/5. This tour could have been nearly perfect if we had another guide!

This tour was so fun! Our tour guide, Kristi, was amazing. Friendly and knowledgeable... as we tasted our way through downtown Palm Springs she told us about some of the local history. She took us by the I Love PS sign, Marilyn and a great art piece outside the Rowan Hotel. The food was excellent: from the stellar eggplant Parmesan and wine to the tacos and margaritas. Not to mention an incredible slice of Pizza, Brandini toffee, and date shake that puts other date shakes to shame! HIGHLY recommend this tour!

We took the Palm Springs tour with Ginny as our guide on a gloomy Thursday with sprinkles threatening but had a nice time nonetheless. We've taken food tours all over the world and find them to be a fun way to try local specialties and learn something about a place we are visiting. All the tours share certain commonalities-small bites in several spots but this one had a few things that made it different: -less walking-all the stops were really close together -booze-it's unusual to get any alcohol, especially at the very reasonable $69 price, but this tour include 1/2 glass of wine at the first stop and a margarita midway on the tour -free stuff-both the olive oil stop and local toffee shop gave us small gifts (mini bottle of oil and small bags of signature toffee respectively) -more seniors-at 50 something we were by far the youngest members of the group of 8 on the tour -less local commentary-some tours are like a full history lesson, this one, not so much. -more stops-typically 4-6 seems to be the norm, this one was 7 -fewer local spots-most often good tours highlight really local, one of a kind businesses-and while there were a couple of those (toffee shop) there were others with several location and even one that started out of the area Bottom line: you won't be disappointed if you take this tour. Good food quality and lots to eat.

I went with a group of friends and we had a blast. Really, really good food, tons of fun facts from our fabulous guide, Kristy, and a great way to spend the afternoon. We learned a lot about Palm Springs and I didn't feel the need to eat again for days! Lots of great food!

Tod was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. All of the food was excellent. We loved every stop, and tried a lot of foods we would not have ordered on our own! The tour was perfectly timed and our favorite part of visiting Palm Springs.

This 3rd trip was put together by Guillaume Van Wyck at Great Safaris. The accommodations were excellent and we'll be returning to Kenya to several of them. The overall trip was really great, and was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as we anticipated. HOWEVER... communication from Great Safaris was not good. I had to email repeatedly to get answers to questions. Information about obtaining visas was non-existent, and when we had issues, we got a last-minute email that would have been helpful earlier. A hot-air balloon excursion in the Serengeti wasn't scheduled for us (even though we paid for it), so we didn't get to take it; Great Safaris did refund our money, but we wish we could have taken the excursion. Serious mistake on their part. Questions about scheduling went unanswered; we didn't get itinerary times until we were in Africa, and only by asking the people at the lodges. Great Safaris should have provided all of that to us. All in all, we would recommend a safari trip for anyone loving animals and a truly amazing experience. BUT WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GREAT SAFARIS.

Free to visit and you can enjoy the cactus garden and wander around the gardens. Museum and gift shop as well as cafe is on sites. But this visit, we took the tour of the Annenberg property. Tour is about 90 min and about 60.00 per person. They do recommend you come a little early to view and enjoy the main building where the cactus garden was but we were a little behind and made it right before the tour started. The tour host 7 person per guided tours. We start off at check in and then met with our guide, Hema. At the beginning you start off on the golf carts where your guide gives you an introduction to the family and the property. The gate into the main residence is around the corner from the public property. It's amazing to see how someone turned a barren desert landscape into an oasis. The brief cart ride to main door was quite nice. A massive golf property hidden in the desert. Once you approached the main property, it's welcomed by a massive water feature. A knock on the double doors lead you into the lobby of the house. Just walking into the property, it's a true MCM oasis. To find out the property only has just the primary bedroom was insane as it was massive. Theres no picture allowed inside but outside was fine. Hema, very detailed in everything she explained was very sweet and detail oriented. Walking through the different rooms and seeing all the amazing things collected by both Walter and Leonore Annenberg was quite interesting. The office which house all of Walter's work, pictures of family, friends and political figures. The different room that's in the main house, their amazing artwork which some are the original pieces. Then you have the way they lived, very elegantly. Each room had their own unique style. The designer and architect sure had their hands full with detail designed of everything on site. The furniture, one of a kind design with amazing embroidery. Walter had an amazing collection of artwork and sculptures. Seeing them throughout the house and the way it was displayed in different room of the house was spectacular. Even the kitchen was nice. Still fully functional as it's still used for summits. The outside alone is one in a million. The massive property with many lakes that is fully stocked for fishing. The golf course which is a golfers heaven. And then you have the pool with a million dollar view of the mountains as the backdrop. Not only the main house, there's the guest house which is utilized for guest. And they're know by different color rooms. And by that, it's fully decorated in the color palette. That building also all looks out to the pool and mountain. Leonore, with her favorite color yellow also had a rose garden designed in the property. The tour lets you inside the lives of the Annenberg and the amazing lives they've lived. Housing major political figures, celebrities and the amazing parties had. The massive art collection and endless photos of everyone, it was a sight to see. This is a tour worth checking out and learning about the Annenberg. Plus, Hema our tour guide was excellent.
