This is a beautiful vacation place to stay to celebrate that special occasion. Built in 1928 it has private casitas set in lush gardens areas. My husband and I loved it so much that we stayed an extra night. The salt water pool is so inviting, the grounds include beautiful old palm trees, tropical flowers, green lawns, water fountains, lemon trees. There are so many little hidden sitting areas to just spend time relaxing. The birds were singing, it was a little slice of heaven with a lot of history. Located near downtown Palm Springs with wonderful restaurants and shops. The owner Joe Pulisi is very friendly and accommodating. Just left our one night stay at Antigua Casita for our 20th wedding anniversary and I could not have asked for a better getaway. We recently stayed at Casa de Monte Vista and this is the most stunning little gem in Palm Springs. As soon as you enter the gate you are transported into another world. The water fountains, birds chirping the gorgeous plants and trees that have been there for years and then Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin casually serenade you as you walk through botanical gardens to your private casita. Joe was incredible and shared the beautiful history of the estate and walked us back in time, it's like we met an old friend. We totally lucked out and somehow got in on Memorial Day weekend at the last minute. Joe was immediately the most gracious host. I had no idea what I had booked until we walked through the magical gate. Inside those walls is the most amazing gardens, flora, archways, antique furniture, views...it takes your breath away. Joe has lovingly created a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary in Palm Springs. We were there on an unseasonably hot weekend in February and it was easily 10°F cooler on the grounds of the Casa de Monte Vista than anywhere else in Palm Springs. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the rooftop deck and exploring the Old Las Palmas neighborhood. The pool was a lovely oasis surrounded by tropical plants and flowers (and even a mama hummingbird sitting on a nest with 2 teeny eggs!). It is truly magical. read more

While hunting for the perfect venue for an intimate wedding (less than 10 people) we never would have imagined how incredible Casa would truly be until we stepped inside the location for ourselves. Our hunt was long and careful, trying to find the perfect mix of beautiful while also private for a small crowd as to not get swallowed by a big hotel/venue environment. it was a difficult task, but as soon as we stepped on the premises the answer was clear - This private estate, carefully taken care of and curated by Joe Luisi is one of the most visually stunning locations I have ever been to. From the moment you first enter it is clear that every last detail is perfectly attended to. It was hard to pick a ceremony spot! We didn't even feel the need for florals after one brief tour of the place ( just look at the photos we got!) Not to mention, it was important to us to find a location with on site accommodations so that our more vulnerable/elderly guests would be able to rest easily between ceremony and reception. I felt that their needs were considered and attended to delightfully. Each Casita is beautifully decorated and airy, with comfortable bedding and antique decor - incredibly clean and well maintained! We could not have imagined a more luxurious wedding suite for the two of us. As for the owner Joe - he was incredibly generous regarding us and our time. He was happy to answer any and all of our questions and happily accommodated any time we wished to stop by. He also had an amazing array of contacts and tried and true vendors that we used that made the wedding planning process so easy. His relationship with them was clearly built on years of trust and a level of quality we were blown away by. We absolutely adored not just him but the whole team he collaborates with. We feel like though we found a venue, we also feel like we built a strong relationship that Casa has now become a place in our hearts we'd readily return to. As a note, care for this place and it will care back for you - its truly such a romantic and special location that it is worthy of lower key/beautiful events. While we know the space can accommodate a large amount, we personally feel that this is the place for events on an elevated level that is not just 'party' style venue and feel that you will miss out on the true loveliness of the location without it. We had a magical time at Casa, a time to remember, and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. MAGICAL is the only word that comes to mind. My husband and I booked Casa de Monte Vista for our fall wedding and everything was perfect! The grounds are exquisitely manicured and set the tone and vibe for exactly what we were looking for. The owner, Joe, was very kind and accommodating to our needs and gave our guests staying on property a little history and detailed dos and donts while staying there. Joe is obviously very proud of the property, as he should be, so I suggest having the same respect and pride while staying here. The property itself is as if youre stepping into a secret garden oasis. Every where you look you will find a photo op or calming place to relax and reflect. Each casita is unique and it's like youre taking a step back in time! I would not recommend for a large wedding or a group of children but the venue is PERFECT for a small wedding, reception space, weekend get away, or girls trip. It is strategically set up for catering and beverage services that flow seamlessly tucked away from guests. I see some negative comments regarding he owner and his involvement. We honestly did not mind Joe checking on things through out the wedding, again it was a matter of respect. My suggestion, meet with Joe before your event like we did and make sure you discuss what is acceptable at the property and what is not. It was made very clear to us that because it is in a residential area (Old Las Palmas - gorgeous), only one to two cars were allowed on property. We advised our guests to use ride share and had zero issues. He was very respectful and kind to us the entire time and we feel as though we made a friend In Palm Springs. I want to share my negative experience at this place! I attended my friends' wedding, and the owner of this place ruined the mood for all the guests. If you rent this villa, be prepared for this crazy man to constantly be on the property, following you around and making comments about your every move. Additionally, being a racist, he insulted my husband who is Mexican, assuming he was supposed to fix an AC. He did not show respect for the wedding ceremony. He was just CLEANING THE POOL IN THE BACKGROUND during such an important moment. Couldn't he have done it at another time? This man cannot walk around the villa in such attire when guests are having a formal event and everyone is in official suits. This is unacceptable! At 10 PM, he approached us and told us to be quiet, even though we were just sitting and talking, with no music playing. Be assured that this man will ruin your event. read more
