He had used a tiny implant of hormones under my skin that released a slow dose of estrogen over the course of several months. It's something widely used in Europe by the FDA has not passed it as a drug here because it would cost the pharmaceutical companies millions in regular hormone therapy revenue. I haven't been able to find a doctor who offered this procedure. At 47 I still need hormones but didn't want to use synthetic replacements in the forms of creams, pills or patches.
