You cannot bring a guest to appointments, even prenatal visits, which feels unnecessary and isolating, especially for first time mom's who deserve to have their partner alongside them through the process. They consistently overbook, so plan to wait at least an hour just to be seen. I once waited 2.5 hours past my scheduled prenatal appointment time. The care itself feels rushed and disconnected. The ultrasound tech was cold and clearly unhappy to be there, with no bedside manner at all. Once you're finally called back, you're shuffled from person to person and only get a few rushed minutes with the doctor. It feels more like a conveyor belt than actual care. Communication is just as bad. If you try to call with questions, expect to sit on hold for 30 to 45 minutes before reaching anyone. The biggest red flag for me was scheduling. I originally saw Dr. Nahar, who left the practice. I later booked a yearly appointment with Dr. Garza months in advance, rearranged my entire day to attend, and showed up only to find out my appointment had been canceled and Dr. Garza had also left. I received no call, text, or email notifying me. This was the second doctor I had booked who left the practice, with zero communication. Overall, there is a clear lack of bedside manner, no respect for patients' time, and serious turnover issues among providers. Something is off here. I would not recommend this office. Let the amount of 1-star reviews speak for themselves.

For three years, I faced a constant struggle with heavy bleeding that didn't seem to stop. It all…read morebegan when I decided to try hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to manage my health issues. Little did I know that this choice would lead to a chain of problems affecting my wellbeing. At first, I dismissed the heavy bleeding, thinking it was just an adjustment phase. I was busy with my work, making calls and ensuring coverage for people. I kept changing sanitary napkins every hour, feeling drained and weak from the non-stop blood loss. The situation was affecting my energy and health, but I carried on. As time passed, the issue became more serious. I visited many doctors, hoping to find answers. But none could figure out what was happening or how to fix it. The heavy bleeding, weight gain, and loss of nutrients were taking a toll on my body and mind. Then, I met Dr. Hicks, a doctor who finally understood my struggles. He spoke with confidence and assurance, saying we would find a solution. This gave me hope and trust in his expertise. Dr. Hicks did a biopsy the results of which led to a plan for a dilation and curettage ( the D&C procedure ). I felt motivated to get better and agreed to the procedure. It happened within a short time, and for the first time in years, the bleeding stopped. I could finally go about my day without feeling faint. Dr. Hicks wasn't just a doctor; he was also a guide who explained my options and the results of the surgery. He showed care and professionalism, which made me feel comfortable. Now, Dr. Hicks suggests a hysterectomy as the next step. This idea scares me, but I trust his experience and advice. Despite his youthful appearance, he has a kind way of dealing with patients that eases worries. His team at the surgery center also took great care of me during the procedure. Looking back, I'm thankful for this journey. Sharing my experience in this review is important, so others can find help too. Dr. Hicks's dedication and skill deserve recognition, even though the thought of a hysterectomy isn't easy to accept. As I think about the path to recovery, I'm open to hearing from others who might have advice. This journey has been tough, but it led me to regain control over my health. For that, I'm grateful.

I was experiencing some discomfort on my private area . I was called in by the medical assistant she did vitals on me and I informed her why I was there and also provided that information on the form they have you fill out . The medical assistant asked me to do a urine sample which I did with no problems whatsoever . The nurse practitioner goes in there she asked me the same questions what is the reason for my visit I inform her . She asked me to remove my clothes from the waist down and she will be back in a few minutes. She comes back everything is going well , it was the moment she started to check my private area. I have been checked before by other obgyn In the past and never in my life have i experienced so much pain . She sticked a stick inside me to swab me without opening me up first using a speculum she was being extremely rough going in and out and In circles and she asked me do you normally bleed I said no I did tell her it was hurting . Then she decided to use to speculum after I told her she was hurting me and she did another swab . I was in so much pain . After she checked me she told me to get dressed and she was going to go to the lab and see if I had an infection down there with the swab she did. I walked out and used the restroom the moment I sat down on the toilet and urinated a little so much blood was coming out of my private area and it hurt so I was in so much pain to the point I could not get off the toilet .I went back in the room I was in and she told Me my results and gave me medication . As I'm checking out I'm still in so much pain I inform the front desk girl I was in so much pain I literally start crying . I asked the front desk girl To please notify the doctor something is wrong I'm in so much pain . She goes and tells the doctor and the medical assistant who called me in the first time puts me in another room . The Dr takes about 15 min to see me again and she asked me what's wrong . I tell her crying I'm in so much pain when I urinate it hurts so bad it burns and I have pelvic pain . Her response was you probably have a UTI . EXCUSE me I did not have a UTI before coming to see you I was urinating just fine with no pain whatsoever until you checked me in such rough way . I told her I left you guys a urine sample before you entered the room she says to me let me go check , she comes back and tells me that my urine has been thrown out if I can provide them with another urine sample . At the point I was so upset I said yes I'll do another urine sample . I tried to leave a urine sample but there was no way I was still Bleeding and I'm so much pain . I left and told them I will be going to the ER mind you I have no insurance to Go to the ER and I left crying I couldn't even drive of how much pain I was in . At the ER the doctor did a pelvic exam which he confirmed I was hurt down there . He provided me with pain medication and to rest for a couple days . What was a quick check up ended up being a visit I wish I never made . I was in pain for 4 days and I would cry every time I had to urinate because it hurt so bad . I'm finally feeling better thankfully . The sad part is all the back stack front office staff and the doctor all knew how much pain I was in and not ones they reached out to Me to see how I'm doing . I would give the place no stars if I could .
