I went in because I had an ultrasound at 8am, got there, they collected my copay & 15min later they told me tech had emergency & I had to be rescheduled, they rescheduled me a few days after from 12noon - 1pm, then I'd be seeing the Dr at 1pm.. well came in at noon, tech didn't see me until 12:30 had my ultrasound, all well w/that but then they told me Dr Najar had an emergency & wouldn't be in until 1;30; so I went ahead & waited until 1:35pm when her nurse called me back, said Dr was in & she'd see me shortly since I was her first patient BUT 40minutes later, still waiting. No sign of the Dr, I had to leave, I left at 2:10pm, I had to get to work I already had a scheduled meeting; so I never got seen by the Dr, which was horrible! They also wanted to charge me another $55 for the visit which I had already previously paid & was to be credited & was told it would be applied, but the young lady at the front said oh ok I'll let billing know.. Good think I had my receipt ‍ So disappointed, we have lives & appointments too & we can't afford to make our clients wait 40min... so disappointing!!! read more

Dr Enrique Jacome at Eisenhower is solely responsible for the death of my sister. She had her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck at an ultrasound weeks before her due date. He said it was not an issue and that it would resolve itself. She died due to being choked by her own umbilical cord. Jacome took no responsibility. I suggest every woman avoid this doctor. I am 67 years old. I have had at least 40-45 annual gynecological visits in my lifetime. This was absolutely the worst experience of them all! First of all, this was my second try to have my first appointment with this doctor. The first was cancelled because he was delivering a baby. Understandable. But, they didn't let me know until I got there and they couldn't schedule another appointment until 4 months later because of the "type" of appointment. Today, apparently the doctor was 20 minutes late for work and, at the time of my appointment, there were 5 women ahead of me. I was finally taken into the exam room 1 1/2 hours after I arrived and spent the next 20 minutes waiting while a young lady typed my information into the computer...the info I gave them on my first visit in November of last year. The doctor finally came in at 12:07. I had arrived at 10:20. He offered to shake my hand while holding a pen then proceeded to the exam. He completed a pap smear like he was Zorro stabbing away at an enemy. It Hurt! Then it was ...nice to meet you, see you next year. The girl told me to get dressed and she'd show me out. By time I got off the table and to my clothes, it was 12:17. The doctor spent less than 10 minutes in the room and did Not complete a pelvic exam...I've had 40! I know what's involved! Do not use this Dr if youre a male looking for a Dr to manage your testosterone replacement therapy. He is not board certified in this area and incredibly unknowledgeable about proper dosing and appropriate treatment. He tried to have me take injections every two weeks instead of every one week and increase my dose after i had a high hemoglobin and hematocrit which is dangerous. Once I pointed this out, he was like oh ok do more labs and come back. They also do not write a prescription for testosterone and try to lie to patients by saying that they are not allowed because it is a controlled substance. This is a lie, I have been receiving testosterone from the local pharmacy for over 7 years straight. They say this and then say you have to come into the office and pay 50 dollars per injection even if you are only getting the vial to do the injections yourself. yes they told me id have to pay 700 dollars for a 10 cc vial of 200mg/ml testosterone cypionate which at the time of writing this is 63 dollars with insurance at the most expensive pharmacy near me. They told me all of this after 2 appointments which I had explained that I am wanting to get a prescription to match the regimen I was on (trying to use an in network dr to reduce cost.) Instead of telling me he won't write a prescription upfront, he does this. This is an obgyn that is trying to do a money grab in the world of testosterone replacement therapy by taking advantage of uninformed men. read more

NOT board certified. Found this out, unfortunately after this experience. Was incredibly dismissive of my daughter's (22 year old) questions and concerns about debilitating incontinence. The kicker was the breast exam through a padded bra. Seriously?! We called the office manager, Ulysses, who was himself empathetic and kind and offered to set her up with the young female doctor in the office for her next visit but, after he expressed our concerns with 'Dr." Jacome, we received a call 'firing' her from seeing anyone else in his practice. For your own safety do NOT use this doctor. I was referred to Dr Jacome by another doctor for a surgery. Jacome had me do two other procedures prior to the surgery which I later found out were entirely unnecessary. He performed the surgery and I was in severe pain for weeks, when I went back for an exam he casually stated that the sutures had not been trimmed correctly and that's what caused the pain, but now it would be ok. The pain decreased somewhat, but continued for months. When I asked Jacome again about the pain he just shrugged his shoulders, no explanation. I finally went to another doctor who explained that the stitching of the incision was done so poorly it created an uneven surface that rubbing and causing the pain. It did not subside for another year and the damage is permanent. read more

I was sent to him because my Dr, who retired, Recommended him ! First all just let me say , the most egotistical, and arrogant Dr I think I have met. He has no bedside manner and the staff itself wasn't that great ! He hasn't spent more then ten minutes with me on any visit and acts like he's never seen me before on every visit. The doctor forgot who my wife was a few visits. even after have been going to him for over a year. Scheduled a c section. She got Covid beforehand. She called to inform them the day it happened to see protocols and if delivery date would change, they confirmed it would be still be ok at that date. They called once again before the scheduled date and confirmed details about Covid and said it would be and continue with schedule. Drove two hours, stayed in a hotel to be at hospital by 440am. At 428am they call and say have to reschedule they didn't know she had Covid?Between a doctor. 3-4 nurses, how did this not get communicated properly? If covid is such a big deal, then why was nobody telling each other? She went all through Eisenhower with it. If they're worried about infecting others. Two restrooms a waiting room and where they draw blood. I'm should trust these people still? Worried now for everything that is to come. What other huge medical things can they miss. I've been looking for bioidentical implants for over a decade. My former dr who did my hysterectomy 10 years ago retired shortly after. He had used a tiny implant of hormones under my skin that released a slow dose of estrogen over the course of several months. It's something widely used in Europe by the FDA has not passed it as a drug here because it would cost the pharmaceutical companies millions in regular hormone therapy revenue. I haven't been able to find a doctor who offered this procedure. At 47 I still need hormones but didn't want to use synthetic replacements in the forms of creams, pills or patches. Then my friend told me about Dr Jacome. She's 49, had a partial hysterectomy and was starting to get hot flashes. So we made an appointment to go in at the same time. HIs office sent over blood work we needed to have done before our appointment and had to provide recent copies of our mammograms. So we made the drive to the dessert. We went to the office opposite of the Fleur clinic. Dr. Jacome was very personable and informative. He discussed our individual results, what our ideal numbers should be, and some of the things we can expect from hormone therapy. Within hours of having the implants put in, both my friend and I noticed a huge improvement in our energy and moods and continued improvement months later. Dr. Enrique Jacome is one of the very best doctors I've ever had. He just completed a da vinci robotic surgery for my partial hysterectomy and prolapse bladder last Wednesday, May 24th, 2017. It was a success and I was up walking around the next day and plan to go back to work next week. Dr. Jacome is a highly skilled doctor who puts his patients first and was so very caring from the beginning to the end of the surgery. Worst Dr I have ever had! 1) I had to pay for the whole procedure upfront before I had it done and before they even tried to bill my insurance. I paid it being told it would be reimbursed - it was not until I called twice and sent a copy of the paper from the insurance saying they had paid for the whole thing minus the copay. If I would not have followed up with them I do not think I would have been reimbursed, they would have just taken double pay. 2) The Dr was not gentle while trying to insert his tools. Bedside manner was not very good. 3) When I asked questions he wouldn't answer and instead the nurse mouthed the answer to me as if she was afraid of getting in trouble by him for answering me. 4) In going to another doctor I found out that the procedure done on me by Dr. Jacome was not even necessary. I have continued to have pain from this procedure. I will now have to go in and have someone else check everything out to make sure its okay. read more

Appointment was at 3:30pm arrived 10 minutes before my appointment filled out paperwork and the front lady Martha was so rude and unprofessional it made me feel very uncomfortable at the time of my first visit. I didn't even want to wait and be seen after dealing with her. I didn't get seen until 4:45 and they had me in and out in 20 minutes. Martha then over charged me for my co pay so I had to go all the way back for a refund the next day when I specifically told her my insurance covers ultrasounds. Next time I went in it was the same thing, waiting room was packed and didn't get seen until an hour and 15 min after my scheduled appointment. I had blood work done and they said they would give me a call for my results within 3-5 business days. It was almost 2 weeks and still no call. I called in myself to find out my results and they kept saying call back your results aren't in yet?i then asked for a copy of my blood work to be sent to my address and still haven't received it and it's been a month since. If you guys don't have enough time to see patients at the scheduled time why schedule them? No one wants to wait just to get called back an hour after there appointment. Very disappointed with the staff and how my visits went. I have one more apt this month and after that I definitely will be finding a new obgyn. Very unprofessional and a waist of time. I was having some pretty serious medical issues and very stressed and looking for some answers and maybe some medication or treatment of the symptoms that I was having while waiting in between appt.s I was not offered any immediate care for the symptoms I was having and as far as answers I was told maybe I should go to a county hospital REALLY. I found another Dr. and am getting the medical treatment that I should have been getting from the get go. A friend, ripened with age, was told that she needed a hysterectomy. She researched a number of doctors and focused on Dr. Enrique Jacome He appeared to be most passionate about his field of obstetrics, striving to be better, know more and stay current within his field. He performed minimally invasive "Robotic Surgery" for her hysterectomy. The results were amazing. Within two days she was up and walking, She looked healthy and was so energetic. I was astounded to see a few small imprints (barely noticeable) on her stomach, which were the sites for the surgery. To date, she continues to praise Dr. Jacome & his robotic surgery. A year following my friend's surgery, I had vaginal spotting. Frightened, I called Dr. Jacome's office. Although it was my first visit, with ease, a member of the staff made an immediate appointment for me. Following my appointment, Dr.Jacome arranged surgery for me. The surgery corrected my problem. Since then I have had healthy check ups! I find Dr. Jacome most thorough, most complete with the study of his patient. When test results are reviewed, he keeps his message direct and simple for the patient to comprehend. Last but not least, the staff is superb. Yes, from sign in to sign out...all worked like clockwork. Timing has always been perfect, neither Dr. nor staff ever kept me waiting. The staff is most pleasant and knowledgeable...always looking fresh...always with a smile. I am relieved to have found Dr. Jacome. If you are looking for a new OB/GYN, I highly recommend Dr. Jacome. Never met Dr. Jacome, so can't say much about him. Dr. Blessing, her nurse, and the lady in billing are wonderful. All three are sweet and very informative. Front desk staff, medical records lady, not so much. I don't know if its lack of knowledge or concern. I myself have been in numerous front desk positions, dealing face to face with patients, making appointments, etc, and would NEVER even think to treat people how these ladies have treated me. Especially being a pregnant patient. I am glad I am no longer going to this office. I realize my complaints are based on the staff and not the doctor, which most don't care about, but for me, going to a doctors office as a pregnant woman, I want to be respected and treated with care by ALL people working there. When I ask for a simple paper with my due date on it to be sent to me, I expect to get my information, instead, I received another patients information. And when calling to schedule an appointment, the lady repeatedly told me my last appointment there was in February (2011), when I just became pregnant in August (2011) and my last appointment was December (2011). When I told her that she meant to say December she would correct me and say February, making me feel like maybe I was wrong... I wasn't and when I corrected her for a final and 5th time, she says with attitude, "That's what said, December." And lastly, waiting for medical records is like pulling teeth. And if I ask a simple question of "when do you think they will be sent out?", the nice answer would be "most likely this afternoon or first thing tomorrow morning.", instead I get "when the Dr. signs it." Just plain old rude. Stress a pregnant woman does not need to deal with. An OB/GYN office should make things comfortable and as easy as possible for pregnant/ALL women, and this office fails to do so. read more

Won't go into everything, but SOME my problems are these: - Dr. Jacome will not talk to you on the phone, even if it's a 5 minute call and you live over an hour away. - I went in for a check up and nurse Blessing said I needed a follow up ultrasound for some existing things we were keeping an eye on. I was charged for both the check up AS WELL AS the "diagnostic appointment" which was the ONE appointment I went to. I guess that's one way to make some extra cash. They said they "had to" do this, but when I spoke to my insurance company they assured me this was not true. - He took credit for prescribing something that he did not prescribe to me (a naturopath made the prescription.) Jacome said that I wouldn't be doing so well if it weren't for the prescription - but again, he never prescribed this to me. I do not know why he didn't prescribe this very common therapy to me - but I am sure it has something to do with the minimal time he spends with (and thinking about) his patients. - He told me that it should be no problem to do a certain procedure and then drive myself home and that he'd done this on many "old ladies" and they hadn't "complained about the pain." I've done natural childbirth and I honestly felt like I was going into full labor after the procedure. I was alone and had to drive myself home, over an hour away. When my current doc recommended the same procedure, he gave me the option of full anasthesia because the procedure is so painful. - Nurse Beverly Blessing once tried (quite aggressively) to sell me some natural products she sells. This made me really uncomfortable and made me wonder if I'd get worse treatment if I didn't purchase the products from her. I should have switched doctors a couple of years ago, but every time I went through something I just wanted to be done with it and not deal with it all anymore.. This time I went in for my check up, was double billed and even though I had left 2 messages for him, he would not talk to me on the phone and would only either pass a message along to me through his nurse, or have me make an appointment in person to speak with him. So I am with a new doc and it's such a relief. read more

Unfortunately I never got to meet Dr. Jacome since my appointment was cancelled while waiting for him in his waiting room. He had a birth to take care of and I could understand that, however, what I could not understand is that after waiting almost a month to get me the appointment and after cancelling after the last minute, they could not accommodate me but after a month later!!! The front desk girl, Stephanie, had a very poor disposition to help me get into seeing him anytime sooner. After dealing with her attitude I decided it was not worth waiting another month to seeing the doctor and having to deal with her one more time. I am afraid because of girls like her, Dr. Jacome might be loosing more patients. read more

Not happy at all! Had been going to Dr Jacome for years. I had to have a total hysterectomy years ago as well as both ovaries removed which put me into immediate menopause. I started w hormone injections , then he recommended getting hormone pellets inserted under the skin that last up to 4 months- I did it for a couple of years paying a fee that was ridiculously high and out of pocket. I ended up w back to back infections, was still charged for the antibiotic injection he had to give me and ended up having to go back every 2 weeks for injections... this last time I went in the front desk told me that no insurances companies were covering the injections any more. I had to pay 30.00 per hormone, which ended up costing me 60.00 Out of pocket and this was going to be every 2 weeks! Well I did some research and it's not that insurance companies aren't covering these injections after all... they are still covered, except Jacomes office has decided to only take cash , no insurance !!! So meaning more money for him!! Needless to say, I found another gynecologist, that my insurance covers injections and the pellet insertion is more than 1/2 the amount that Jacome charges! Won't be going back!! It's all about the money for them! read more

We had a horrible experience with Dr Jacome. After reading the recent reviews I can see that his reputation has become tainted in the past few years. We were a new patient having our first child and were assured by his staff that he would spend extra time with us, and answer any and all questions. However we met with his nurse and ultrasound technician for the first 3 visits. They made numerous excuses for him. We finally met him on our 4th visit (briefly). He came in joking about how he should of reviewed our ultrasound before this visit because we were experiencing Placentia Previa meaning our baby had turned and it was potentially dangerous. He joked again how we should not of been having intercourse since our last visit or for the next few months. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL way to deliver potentially dangerous news about our first baby and admitting his negligence. We never saw him again until my wife's water broke and she was bleeding. He again joked about the amount of water on his office floor and said it was just excess fluid and nothing to worry about and sent her home. Later that same day she had to be rushed to the emergency room in excruciating pain where the Dr on staff couldn't believe Dr Jacome failed to diagnose her condition correctly and sent her home. Our 7 month old baby had to have an emergency C-Section delivery due to the low water level causing a lack of oxygen for him and his 7 month old underdeveloped lungs. They called Dr Jacome and he wasn't on call, thankfully another Dr delivered our baby. Dr Jacome had the audacity to come into the hospital room days later and joked about how he didn't even know we were here. He then sent us a bill for a $700 hospital visit and $3,000 for the delivery he never did. Other Dr's have told us he should not be delivering babies anymore. He has left woman in labor too long over the weekend which caused physical/mental issue with their new borns. I would highly advise anyone to avoid using Dr Jacome for his complete negligence, lack of caring, concern and unprofessionalism. read more
