Ok, I like Trader Joe's for the uniqueness of their assortments. Lately I am crushing on their Family Tree Apricot Plums, so good. Been back 3 times in 2 weeks to buy more. They had Olive trees for $9.99 and well I got 2 hoping they survive the heat. I bought some of their Frozen Cod Fish and Breaded Halibut hope they taste good. Just looking for protein options when I need something quick. Their produce and flowers are my favorite departments. I see people walking out with buckets of flowers and I assume they are making their own arrangements. The flowers are affordable for sure. Th hardest part of shopping here is the parking so bring your patience. read more

Oh, Trader Joe's. I don't get over here as much as I'd like to, but when I can I always enjoy enjoy a good browse. Especially for seasonal specials... Trader Joe's has a pretty nice gluten free selection, although there's been some debate over just how gluten free their gluten free goodies are. I can say I've never had any issues, but everyone is different. Do your own research, people! Love their flowers, fresh gf pizza dough and pasta, and their frozen veggies and meals. read more

This Trader Joe's is great! I'm happy they're a smaller format store, it helps to cut through the noise and reduce decision fatigue. They carry a well-edited array of mostly their own private label brands with a global perspective. You will always find something special here that's exciting! To keep things interesting, they have seasonal offerings that keep in step with the time of year. For example, be sure to grab one of their Gobbler Rolls with turkey, stuffing cranberry sauce and gravy... you will not be disappointed! That being said, sometime the products miss the mark, but there's way more hits than misses. Definitely try their Green Goddess Salad, Mini Oatmeal Cookies, Mac n' Cheese and their flavored yogurts. Some of the misses are snacks that are just too sweet like their cereal bars. But for the most part, the products are adventurous and quite good- especially at the very reasonable prices they charge. Something that really makes the TJ stand out is the amazing service. When I checked out, the cashier was so friendly and chatty, all the while paying special attention to detail when bagging my groceries. She was like a 3-D Tetris Master bagging groceries, and taking care to double bag. She had so much skill, and I really got the impression she loved her work. It made me realize the only place I ever have someone else bag my groceries is at Trader Joe's. Makes total sense because every time I've been to a TJ's regardless of location, the checkout experience is always exceptional. In today's grocery world, it's mostly self-checkout and Trader Joe's stands out to me as a company that knows their business and has a lot of integrity. Well done Trader Joe's. This location always feels well stocked and the employees are always so so hospitable. Their front potted plants selection isn't so abundant but they always have a great floral selection if you like to take them home for arrangement. They can get pretty busy and their parking lot is a bit small but otherwise love this location. read more

Apart from the cramped parking lot, Trader Joe's is a pleasant experience. Today they had various spring plants/succulents on display and I gladly picked up a couple. They have seasonal items as wel as their staples for produce, snacks, drinks and frozen dinners/meals. Their cheese pizza on cauliflower crust is yummy and so are their frozen Indian food meals. They have an array of desserts and candies throughout the store. I recommend their almond thin cookies and walker's shortbread cookies. The prices are affordable and they have a decent selection of healthier food items. Anytime I come here the cashiers maintain being friendly and handle my groceries with care. read more

I'm a fan for sure they have items you can't fine anywhere else. Sparkling water 3.99 for 12 cans who does that and it's pretty good. Happy that we have one fairly close buy being in the Southlake Town Square means it's normally busy best to be early. Folks are super friendly here and go above and beyond with helpfulness. There seems to always be something new to try.Its part of our grocery rotation now that I can't live without those scones and dark peanut butter cup they satisfy those sweet cravings quite nicely. This location is near one my my work locations, so I don't go often...as a matter of fact, this was my second trip. Both times it wasn't supper busy...but I can imagine it's more of a nightmare when they are packed as the parking lot is SUPER small. Which I noticed is sort of a trend. For a store that popular, you would think they would have a larger parking lot. The staff is always friendly and checking out is always a pleasant experience, and that is pretty standard. They were working on the freezers but it was still fairly easy to shop around them. Overall I like Trader Joe's...this store I will visit when needed and in the area...this is not a location that I would go out of my way for. read more

Naturally after lunch you go shopping, (because you don't shop when you're hungry). We headed to to Trader Joe's, the place to look for organic goodies and they have all kinds of goodies from vegetables, fruits, snacks, cereals, milks, yogurts, breads, um.... I think y'all get the gist. It's dangerous for me to come to this store, I have to limit myself cause I can go hog wild and buy goodies I didn't know I needed. I rarely go to Trader Joe's unless I'm in the area. I feel the store is overhyped. The store was clean and they have a good selection of Asian foods. The cashiers check you out super fast. However, staff is slow when it comes to restocking products. Parking can be a nightmare if they're packed. I noticed there is a major issue with the deep freezers. Southlake Trader Joe's is maybe 15-20 minutes from my home. I can't wish for anything greater than this! I'm also grateful that Coppell Trader Joe's opened a couple of weeks ago so shopping here has been more pleasant. Even the workers thinks so too! Every time I come here, the workers are helpful and inviting. I almost wanted to place an application to this place because it seemed like a good place to work. It shows a lot when the staff are happy and want to help the customers. The food is delicious. Even if it's frozen, it's still surprisingly good. The produce seems to be good. I have no complaints about it. The beauty section is amazing! Lots of dupes at an affortable price. The shopping bags have gotten so cute and popular. I love their bags. If you want to see what's available, you can create a shopping list on their website. I haven't tried it, but it gives me an idea on what they have an not have... and upcoming food, drinks, and other products. read more

Trader Joe's is a must visit for me when I was in Seattle. There were so many items that's just not available in the mainstream chains. It's sad that I need to drive 45min just to get to the nearest Trader Joe's but at least there's one within driving distance Cashiers are always so sweet here!!! The store is small but clean. Love their frozen food line. Small selection of health and beauty and pharmaceuticals. They have candles and some vitamins. It looked like most of their vegetables are from Mexico instead of locally grown organic. The personnel are friendly - major plus. The parking lot is very small and the parking spaces are small also. If you don't have anxiety before you go, you will by the time you leave. Make sure you back into a parking space so you can get out. read more

I just discovered how much I like Trader Joe's. Admittedly, the viral kimbap brought me in, but now I'm hooked. I even bought a couple of TJ's shopping tote bags to use for future shopping trips. This location stays busy and the parking lot is tight. There seems to always be a constant flow of cars at all times. The store is small and it can be challenging to maneuver down the few aisles especially on the weekends. It's an overwhelming shopping experience for me each time, but I go because they have things you can't get anywhere else. Pricing is great especially in this economy. Oh, customer service is excellent. Everyone has been super friendly. I don't live close so it's usually a planned trip on the weekends. If you go then, go early and pack your patience! read more

Over the years, TJ's has offered some unique and great products that have come and gone. The current selection is fine and there are new and interesting items all the time. My only gripe is the increasing use of sketchy ingredients like "natural flavors", lecithin and titanium dioxide. Health-conscious people may need to go elsewhere if TJ's doesn't use more healthy ingredients. This particular store is clean & the workers are friendly. read more

Like other reviewers have mentioned, there's always some new item to try; and I've personally found the quality of food here to be great. Service is surprisingly fast for how busy it is. Well oiled machine most definitely! Shhhhhhhhhhh........ the best time to visit is Friday before closing, but keep it quick and respectful to the employees! My family are big fans of more unique grocery store shopping experiences. We love aldi, like checking out wild fork, and enjoyed getting to finally shop at a H-E-B. We've given this Trader Joe's about 4 chances and we likely will not try to fight to try it again. Parking is a bit of a pain because they are situated at the top of a parking garage, and the top is awkward with not quite enough space as folks seem to think there is. So, we've seen near misses of accidents, and the lot filling up quickly. Last time there was a number of open spots by the door, but folks had been trained to take the first spot they see, so traffic was held up at the entrance of the parking lot. All that could be forgiven, if you got in and could enjoy your shopping. Inside its about as hectic as the parking lot can be. Folks almost hitting others with carts. Leaning over each other making browsing for those who aren't as familiar with the store as others really difficult. This was our only trader joe's we've been too and this probably isn't the best example of what one could be, especially when we've heard friends in Plano, Frisco, and Dallas rant and rave about this store. I can only hope that if this one is so successful, the could possibly open another in a better location in NRH, Euless, Hurst or Bedford. read more

I really tried not to be into it, put off by all the claims that it was the greatest place *ever*. I think it may have been the years I heard that about Costco and the resultant "meh" I feel about warehouse shopping. But, dang. Trader Joe's is pretty great. Only visit to this location was post Covid-19. We faced a long line outside of (mostly) social-distancing customers waiting to enter. It stretched the entire front of the building, but moved pretty quickly. We were inside in under 10 minutes. The layout is typical. I find Trader Joe's strangely small for all the value and interest packed inside. For me, the favorite sections are the snacks, international foods, and beer. Our quarry was salads and appetizers for a gathering. We also picked up some intense lime cookies with powdered sugar, reminiscent of the discontinued and amazing Sunshine Lemon Coolers (without the lemon chips). Also, I found a fantastic Barrel Aged Stout. I also appreciated the vibe of the signs related to Covid safety practices, all stated in the context of kindness and consideration for each other, which is my personal stance on why I wear a mask in this type of setting. It's unfortunate that this is the closest location to us,25 minutes away or we'd be here much, much more! read more

Trader Joe's just doesn't disappoint. First off, they are on TOP of their covid guidelines. They are cleaning, they are monitoring capacity, and they are doing it with the customer service you expect from TJ. I don't live in the area, but occasionally come out to stock up on my favorites and try something new. They have TONS of frozen food and snacks but don't forget they have excellent prices for things like oils and spices. I have been really happy with the skin care items I have tried, especially that whipped coconut body butter. That stuff is great. read more

I shop at this store at least once a month. I love their different spice blends my favorites being the Elote and Dill pickle. I use them on everything. They have an excellent selection of frozen goodies and their assorted dips and snack selections are always interesting, tasty, reasonably priced. They got me today with their cart of deliciousness. I actually tried the riced hearts of palm and the Thai curry sauce and it was yummy! I ended up buying both as well as the pasta hearts of palm. Every time I'm in town I head to TJ's to get my healthy eating needs. Love it. Today was crazy busy but the young lady at checkout was super friendly and helpful. I live in Arlington and they don't have any Trader Joes. The nearest TJ's is 3- minutes away so it was disappointing. Fortunately, I work near Southlake on the weekends and saw this location so I decided to check them out! Trader Joe's is great - they have everything you need in such a small store and everything is fresh. I love that they have various cuisine dishes (such as Korean) and it's really a great place to shop. I used to LOVE their mango & yogurt gummies, which apparently got discontinued, but I was able to find these fruit gummies which I was able to pick up -- they were GREAT! The cool thing about Trader Joe's is finding these little gems, but thank God I work less than 2 minutes from this location - I can't wait to be back! read more

The parking lot leaves little to be desired though. It's very tight & tiny. Pro tip: park in the bottom level parking lot. Less drama. We almost always get a spot in the covered area. You just have to climb stairs (no elevator), so if you have a ton of groceries, that would be tough. Aside from parking, I love the location. It's by all of the places I frequent. But it's so crowded! Please TJ's...open one in the Keller and Alliance (Fort Worth Costco) area! You'd make bank! It's nuts that this is the only TJ's closeby. read more

I'm definitely a fan of TJ and depend on a trip there every so often to restock my favorite products. This store, (Southlake) is upstairs, so if you park in the lower area they'll have someone bring your shopping cart down in the employee elevator...so helpful! This location is a decent size, clean and pretty. They were quite well-stocked, however, several of my favorites were sold-out on the day I was there, i.e. the Mandarin orange chicken, and steamed lentils...I guess they're popular! Fresh flowers from TJ are always a good idea, as is the jarred Bruschetta, 5-cheese frozen mac n cheese and the truffle brownies...if you know you know! Prices are NOT higher than other grocery stores...for those of you who haven't tried it...in fact, I find many things are cheaper, and the selection is so worth it. I have not been to a Trader Joe's in ages, so when my husband asked if I wanted to tag along on his business trip to Dallas, I immediately said yes and started looking up the closest Trader Joe's location to our hotel, which just so happened to be in Southlake. Since my husband would be working for the majority of the trip, I suggested we visit after we had checked-in (our only "free" day together) so that we could get some basics: beverages, to-go meals, omiyage ("souvenirs"), and whatever else we may need for our short trip and to take home for loved ones. By the time we checked-in a little after 1:00pm on Halloween, we were so beat that I think we both sat down on the bed and just stared at the Denny's across the street through our room window before my husband snapped us out of our trance and suggested we get a move on before it got too late. So we called a Lyft and were on our merry way. Since the only other Trader Joe's I have been to was in Los Angeles (and even then, it was so new to me that I did not realize just how many TJ's there were in that area alone), I did not know what to expect but this location in Southlake was cute and quaint befitting of the residential area it is in. It is also near the Shops of Southlake (possibly part of?) and Central Market, the latter of which, came highly recommended by a handful of our Lyft drivers. Since it was Halloween, there were a variety of different pumpkins big and small for sale that decorated the exterior of TJ's, and once you entered the establishment, you were then greeted by fresh flowers, produce, and just a whole lot of TJ's goodies. Since my husband was being a trooper, I did not want to take up too much time, so I remembered just quickly doing a skim of their interior before grabbing a bunch of snacks, salads and sandwiches, and alcohol. My husband also picked up a few beers and a six-pack. Since this location is on the smaller side, it did not take long for us to do a full run around and Kirk, one of their employees at the check-out aisles, must have sensed my confusion (on what else I could fit into our basket) and my husband's exhaustion (on when we could head back to the hotel) and asked if we were ready to check-out to which both my husband and I said yes. While Kirk was ringing up our items, I apologized for the extra work since I had purchased a bunch of tiny items to take back home for my boss and work moms. Kirk said that it was not a problem and asked where we were from to which we replied Hawaii. Kirk then told us that had previously been stationed at Pearl Harbor back in the day and used to live in Downtown Honolulu, so we got to talking about how much the area has changed. Kirk also told my husband that he had good taste in beers (I wish I had gotten the names of it but I believe both were from a local Texas brewery--one had a dystopian Ninja Turtle on it and the other one had a cowboy motif with red designs). Before we knew it, Kirk had managed to get all of our items in two neat bags and wished us well during our time in Dallas. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the Trader Joe's in Southlake if you happen to be in the area. Kirk was a shining example of customer service and embodied the welcoming spirit everyone we met seemed to have in Dallas (including the other Trader Joe's employees we happened to come by). The interior was nicely organized and clean so it was easy for customers new and old alike to navigate. I was a little sad that I was not able to get any pumpkin items at the time of my visit (it is possible I may have missed them since we were in a rush) but the Cornbread Crisps and Oat Chocolate Bars? If you ever see these at a Trader Joe's, you best stock up! read more

I've driven by Trader Joe's several times in a couple of weeks and there always seems to be a line. Well I sucked it up and made the journey!! The wait was about 15 minutes and I was almost to the stairs, so not too shabby. The way they have the line going, there's plenty of shade so that was a major plus. I also thought it was very thoughtful of them to post up a 5 minute more sign to keep your hopes up!! So after making it through the treacherous heat I grabbed a freshly sanitizer cart and made my way through the greatness which is Trader Joe's. I'm there for 5 things but ended up leaving with 10. Again, not too shabby. The first of my must-haves is the coffee bbq rub ($2.29 and summer only item), it's the BEST rub I've ever had and goes great on pork and beef. For that price, you gotta try it. Orange chicken (freezer aisle and $4.99). It's amazing. I was actually surprised they had some in stock!! Score!! I grabbed 2. The famous 2 buck chuck ($2 wine but it's actually $2.99 now). I use it for cooking and drinking and gift giving. It's pretty dang decent. I splurged and got the Shaw organic collection, it was $3.99 a bottle. The two veggies I never leave with are the cute 4 pack of fresh artichokes ($2.99) and the large fennel bulbs (cheap). You can't beat their price point anywhere else. An artichoke at Tom Thumb runs $6.99 per lb. CRAZY I say!! I ended up grabbing the Everything but the Bagel seasoning and the Everything but the Elote seasoning (which is also seasonal), highly recommended by the Trader Joe's associate. The Bagel seasoning has a cult following so you're limited two. Can't wait to try it!! I love this store and admired how they are taking great precautions from the pandemic. Nice welcoming place, all the usual foods. Virtually every TJ's has the same winning vibe and culture. I've only ever encountered one TJ's that was outright creepy (Brooklyn NY). The workers in Southlake are mostly very friendly. The only exceptions might be one or two take their breaks in the bathrooms, preventing customers from using them, and then fail to clean those bathrooms even if there's a mess. read more

It's not exactly a specialty store, but a neat off the wall store. Everyone has certain treats that they buy for themselves or their family. Almost ALL of my treats come from Trader Joe's. All sorts of stuff you won't find anywhere else. When I introduce my friends to something new, it's always "where did you get that?" The answer is always Trader Joe's! If I could I would give this location about 3 and a half stars. They don't deserve 3 but 4 is a stretch... Okay, so I live about about 30 minutes from this location, so I was willing to make the drive. I knew exactly what I wanted.... I went in with the expectations of just going in, grabbing the small list of things I wanted to get, and getting out. The first bad experience was their parking lot. It just feels so disorganized and small.... and like you have no room to maneuver yourself in or out. Everyone seemed in rush to get the heck out of there which made coming in stressful. But then the experience inside was what made it all that much more anxiety filled. Everyone that was shopping in there seemed rude and trying to push their way up and down the isles and bum rushing their way through to grab stuff off shelves. It made the entire time in the store so stressful. I don't know how else to explain it. The store is small in comparison to other Trader Joe's I've been to, so it felt like I was rushing in a small maze filled with people trying to fight for chocolate croissants and fresh smoothies. So for a first time shopper here I was excited to get to come here ... the store itself is nice though kind of on a smaller size when compared to other grocery stores in the area. Probably about the size of an Aldi only rectangle vs square shaped. The biggest problem I had was that Even though I went on a week day to avoid crowds so I could take time to learn the store and see what they offered ... made sure to not go during lunch time ... and it was so busy that I genuinely could not shop. I would stop to look at something and have 2 people stop & reach in front of me ... it was hard to maneuver the isles. Both the shoppers zooming thru just grabbing a handful of things and the folks with carts full of stuff. I had planned on buying a weeks worth of groceries here and left with a heightened level of anxiety that I usually only would get from a packed Walmart. So either I'll need to find a better time to shop here, a better location ... or just stick with the other grocery stores I normally go too. read more
