There is absolutely no way she went through any sort of formal training or certification. She was pulling on my cuticles and I've never seen someone so awkward with a nail file, which she didn't really do. She didn't ask what shape or really any questions. She was so sweet, but just clearly didn't know what she was doing. You can tell in the pictures of how unevenly the polish was applied. It's cute inside and I feel bad leaving a mid review, but nails are expensive and a want not a need, so it's a huge letdown when the service isn't great quality. These really look like when I do them myself and I'm bad at doing nails.

I'm handed a robe, water and slippers and slide my now noodle soft body down the hall to my facial. Another heated bed and Ashley await me. And my face is treated to a winter time refresh. The service itself was 100 minutes and included a full body massage and a head mud/oil scrub. It was by far the best spa treatment I've ever had. The spa was booked at capacity that day, so it was pretty full. They had two waiting rooms to relax, drink tea/coffee, have snacks and order your food if you wanted. The services came with a complimentary mimosa or mocktail. The infrared sauna was a one person sauna, but obviously has great benefits. Within the women's locker room, there were 3 eucalyptus showers that were life changing. I cannot wait to go back when we are back in St Louis.

I generally work with Twin* (not sure this spelling is correct). Today, she was nearly 30 minutes late to start my nails. Rather than acknowledge her tardiness or even apologize, she began service in such a hurried fashion. When I asked that she clean under my nail bed and shape my nails (they were chipped and uneven) before adding tips, rather than simply perform the request she proceeded to feign confusion, argue with me about what I meant, and call me "aggressive" for what was a pretty straightforward request. I recognize that miscommunication happens and we all have bad days, but to fall back on a lazy and racist trope such as calling a Black woman customer "aggressive" for making a reasonable request was extraordinarily poor form and absolutely appalling. As a paying customer, I deserve to ask for what I want and to experience good quality service. If I see you missing steps, mishandling the health of my nails, or rendering inconsistent quality, it is my literal right to ask that you address the problem. Rather than just take ownership for her behavior, Twin and her supervisors refused to service me altogether. Needless to say, I will not be back.
