Their prices are fair, quality excellent, and a way to reuse/recycle. I've also consigned things here - sometimes you have to move things out to make room for new items, as has been my case. After checking out a few other furniture stores in the area, the S.O. and I decided to check out Design +. Since it's a consignment store (perfect for pet owners who worry about the first scratch on a new couch), it's catch-as-catch-can. And we lucked out. The staff was super friendly, but not in an obsequious way-just helpful, competent guys. The first thing I noticed was a new sofa and ottoman from one of the custom stores down the street listed at a steep discount. The second thing that caught my eye was an all-leather Norwegian couch that was over 50% off retail. Yesss! That couch was just the ticket. When we went to pay, we were told the couch could be delivered later that day. Um, whaaat? Great service, super-fast delivery, zero problems, and overall just a great experience. What a great place to shop. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and an ever changing assortment of furniture, art, rugs etc.... There are pieces here to fit every budget and you can view all their stock on line. There is also a store in SF with completely different merchandise (that you can also see online). Mari was patient and helpful in working with me. I came a couple of times to look at a rug that I liked but wasn't sure it would work in my space. She moved furniture so that I could see the entire rug; looked at it with me to identify any damage or stains (there weren't any) and even found me the best price to get it cleaned before I put it in my house. BTW: The rug was in very good condition and didn't have to be cleaned but I assumed that it was easier to do it now then once I'd laid it and placed furniture all over it. I had a great experience at the Design Plus Consignment Gallery recently. I had never bought large furniture items before, but the guy I spoke with there (didn't get his name) was very helpful. They had a lot to choose from and the items I ended up buying were very sturdy, attractive and reasonably priced. Delivery with Lugg was convenient too, I just went back to my apartment and they directed the movers to the items to be picked up. I just had to update my review (which already gave this place 5 stars). I'd give them 6 if I could. All business should be run the way that this business is run. I recently purchased a bed here and, when I got it home and started to put it together, was convinced I didn't have all the parts. Greg was horrified - he even *came to my house* and brought another *bed frame* to replace it! He came to my house - and he offered to come back to help me put it together if I needed it. Well, it turned out that I'm an idiot and I did have all the pieces all along - I took the frame back to them and apologized (very embarrassed). Greg had been so embarrassed at the idea I hadn't received all of the pieces - I explained that the way he went so far above and beyond to help me and to make it right that he had won even more loyalty from me as a customer than if there hadn't been a problem at all... ...and, as it turned out, there hadn't been.
