In short After one visit we already appreciate the quality…read moreof care. We love the doctor and the staff. If you use a wheelchair, this rickety old building kinda blows. In long After having a stroke last year, my lovely bride loses her voice occasionally. We came in for an eval and followed the signs to accessible parking. No elevator. Dr Litvack is on the third floor. Up the ramps we push, and over the catwalks and through the maze. Okay. We're not TOO late, and they honor the appointment. After a few minutes, the friendliest person in Snohomish County calls us back. Kayleigh must be high in the running for friendliest statewide, too. She goes through all the check-in stuff and she and my wife are chatting like old friends. Dr Litvack comes in, warm and attentive. Great listener, thoughtful in her explanations. She finishes the eval, changes an rx, makes a referral to speech therapy. Everything feels very expert and assuring. We have a follow-up, and I'm not looking forward to that ramp, but it's great to have her on the care team.

Needless to say we aren't tree huggers....it would probably kill us. Shots are quick, appointments are easy. If you're in need of an allergist...check them out. Becky Epperson (ARNP) and Krista are an awesome team, super easy going and compassionate. Waiting room is clean, cozy, and full of magazines, water, and mints.

In short We've been here only for interventional pain…read moretreatment, but thoroughly appreciated what they have to offer. In long About a year ago, my lovely bride had a massive stroke and now likely has post-stroke pain syndrome, which is a relatively common complication that basically makes any little ache and pain you have feel a million times worse. It sucks, and there's not much they can do about it except wait for the brain to rewire itself and stop crashing out every time it gets a pain signal. We pulled up to a decent-size clinical building (bigger than some small-town hospitals) off a very busy road, with plenty of parking. They have over a dozen specialties inside, but the main signage says "Cardiology and Imaging," which confused me. Might be worth reconsidering that placard. The front desk is upstairs, oddly enough. Conveniently, so is the pain specialist. We were checked in fairly quickly and spent almost an hour with Dr Yee. My better half left feeling incredibly frustrated that they can't fix the problem with any sure solution, but we have a couple more tricks up our sleeve that might do the trick. I felt a lot more aware of what's going on after speaking with Dr Yee, and really dug what she had to say and how she went about her business. But, then, I'm not the one in pain and wishing daily for relief, so I suppose that's easy for me to say. Still, though, I'd recommend her for someone who needs to solve most pain problems.

Dr. Russian said I needed another sleep study to prove to have that I have Chronic Fatigue. Let that sink in for a minute. He needed more proof. My family doc has had me on Adderall for approx. five years but wanted me to switch to Modafinil as she believes this will be safer now that I am sixty-five years ,old but only a sleep doc can order this medication based on my insurance. Dr. Russian said he would call in an order for a sleep study and they would contact me to schedule. Two weeks later I called the sleep study center only to find that an order had never been called in for me. I contacted the docs office and explained the situation. The receptionist said that she would contact Dr. Russians nurse immediately to find out what was going on and that the nurse would call me back to let me know the referral had now been sent. No one ever called me back.

This is OUTRAGEOUS! Then she lies to your face and tells you she'll respond to messages, especially if you need a medication change. The facility where she sent me to have a sleep study also stole my portable charger.

I went to see her to get help with my chronic insomnia that had been lasting for a year. I've…read moretried ambien in the past and it didn't work. We both agreed that benzodiazapines were a bad option over the long-run, which is fine. I heard from multiple sources that Seroquel can help people with chronic insomnia, where sleep hygiene and other non-drug solutions didn't do any good. I asked her about trying that and she refused to prescribe it to me. She said I'd have to go and see a psychiatrist in order to get a prescription for it, so I looked through my options and found one that had good reviews at the downtown Seattle campus. The appointment was 3 months out, and two days before the appointment, her assistant called me and said that Julia canceled my appointment. Her reason was because this psychiatrist didn't specialize in sleep disorders. Why would someone be so unprofessional as to cancel an appointment that late when it was made 3 months out? When I started working and was able to get private insurance, I started going to a physician in internal medicine at Virginia Mason. At my first appointment, I asked him if it would be possible to try Seroquel as a long-term sleep aid. He informed me of the other options, and said he'd be willing to let me try it because he's seen success with other patients that have chronic insomnia. I've now been taking it for two years and my sleep has been MUCH better. Moral of the story, is don't go to Julia Kopcak if you have a bad case of insomnia where sleep hygiene, mindfulness, yoga, exercise, dietary changes, and all other non-medication changes haven't worked for you. She won't prescribe you Ambien or Lunesta. She won't prescribe Seroquel. The only drugs she'll prescribe you are anti-depressants and that strategy did not work for me. It only wasted my time and caused me to suffer through 6 additional months of sleepless nights.
