Our family had been up in the mountains for a couple days seeing the changing of the leaves and said they had mostly eaten fast food and were so sick of it and wanted something really good to eat for lunch. We knew just where to take them! They couldn't help themselves, they ordered and ate the fried chicken and the meatloaf and all the vegetables and peach cobbler !! and enjoyed every bite. My #1 brisket I have ever had was Kreuz BBQ in Lockhart, TX. The next on my list is JW Hayes n Newport Beach, CA.- very similar to Kreuz and told me he fashioned his after Kreuz. Now I have a #3- which ranks right up there with Kreuz and the JW Hayes. The brisket was so tender and fell apart when you pick it up. Just the right amount of smoke flavor. So good. My wife ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and said it was the best she ever had. And she is VERY picky, so I was surprised. I tried hers and it was very tender as well.
