The Palmer Course was in fabulous shape. We were a twosome so we expected slow play. BUT A Marshall could have got us thru the SLOW group in front of us that had two open holes in front of them. Or get them moving. We waited on every hole. A few tips. The kid at the bag drop could have actually helped get our bags out of the car. One of the Marshall's came over to us (2 women) as we were getting out to putt. "Make sure you don't go on the members only putting green". We saw the sign did we get that comment because we're women? Asked the starter for any course tips. "We'll I've NEVER Played from the ladies tees!" That's it again he was speaking to 2 single digit handicaps. He let that SLOW fore some hit 3 balls each and they started 6 minutes behind. When are old men at the course going to stop treating women golfers like second class citizens. Might need to train your staff with some how to give course advise. The greens are fast & undulating. Watch for the 150 marker as a good target. It isn't hard to do this right! That's why I dinged your rating. The course was beautiful!! read more

We booked two nights at this resort and paid over $500 per night! At that price I was expecting a fabulous room complete with toiletries dressing, gowns, slippers, and the works. NOT SO !!! the room was a basic standard room. The walls were so thin. We could hear everything the people in the next room weee saying . There were no toiletries. There were no dressing gowns . There wasn't even a safe in the room, which was absolutely astonishing . We were near an exit door that led to the parking spot and the trash was overflowing for the full duration of our stay . We tried to get our TV to link up to our Netflix account which in itself was quite a process Maintenance had to come out and try and help us with it. 20 minutes later we were told it was not functioning . Granres when we spoke to management, they did give us credit for the resort fee . Overall a pretty bad experience for the price we paid. read more

Geneva National no longer cares about the residents or their families. Before we bought, we called the HOA and specifically asked about the amenities (pool) and what are the rules for our parents, kids, spouses, and grand babies. We were told it is a family environment, and they are welcome with no strings attached. On top she noted we could have 5 additional guests with no additional fee. The lady at the office reassured us that they are so much about family that most residents do not even leave Geneva National as there is so much for us and our families to do. We pay over 1100.00 a month in assessments! Plus, all the additional assessments and now the HOA states you can put 5 people on your list and the rest must pay if they want to come! So, they are asking us to choose between our parents, kids, spouses, and grand babies, who will make the list and who must pay!! And why? Their answer: "there are so many new/more residents and the pool would be out of capacity." I have called the HOA office twice now to escalate it to top management. The two women we spoke to said they would have Rick (Director) call us back. It has been two weeks, and no one has called us back. Why because they don't care! Our voice means nothing. Geneva National (the women we did talk to) has taken the position of making decisions on their own. They said we can go to the July 20th meeting if we want to discuss anything further. News flash, half the season is over by then! And we had no say. Geneva National is making all the decisions. Why not penalize the families and the elderly by telling them they must pay! There are many other beautiful places in the Lake Geneva area that welcome families without a price tag. Geneva National is: Buy here then we will change the rules as we go. Geneva National wants to nickel and dime you. This is extremely disappointing to say the least! read more

We booked a stay here along with the Winter Realms event that was being hosted by the resort. In all of the promotional marketing, staying at the resort was heavily advertised. I made the booking back in December and was well aware that the event was weather dependent. Our reservations were from Feb 7-9. On Feb 5 I got a message that the winter realms was cancelled due to warm weather. No big deal, they mentioned right away that we would receive a refund. When I went to separately cancel the hotel stay, I was told that 'due to their strict cancellation policy' I would not receive my $200 deposit back. I replied that we were canceling due to the event, and if I'd known earlier I obviously would've cancelled earlier. They offered to move our reservation date, which didn't help or fit the circumstances since it was clear that there was no reopening date, so rescheduling was not a practical or helpful option. The response was unfriendly and they just stated "no refund" about 6 times. I did end up canceling the reservation and forfeiting the deposit because I was genuinely turned off by the resort. Overall, very disappointed with the customer service. They were unhelpful and apathetic. You would think that a resort that presents itself in the way that it does, and considering the amount of revenue they generate, they would be more professional. I understand the refund and cancellation policy (which is also ridiculous that they partnered themselves with an event that could be cancelled within a 2 day notice). I'm more so upset about the way it was handled by their 'guest services'. If you decide to stay here, I genuinely hope you don't need any help from guest services prior to your stay. You would get better value from a chain hotel. read more

Beautiful venue and incredible service for Mother's Day brunch! Each table was complete with fresh flowers and a custom placecard with the family name. Options included a variety of vegetarian-friendly items and all of the mamas were treated to rosé upon arrival. Can't recommend this enough! Such a wonderful memory. read more

Checked into the resort today. We were put in the cottages (which isn't mentioned on the reservation) only to find an absolutely disgusting room. Even our 4 year old called it creepy and said he wanted to go home. Stained carpet. Severely weathered furniture. Mold on bathtub tiles. We actually were so disgusted that we went back to the front desk and retuned out keys. We were told no refund but with the cost we paid something should be done because this is unacceptable. We were forced to drive back home at that point because no other accommodations were available. Their reservation photos are deceiving. We booked a Thursday in Fall and lucked out with great weather. The course was in great condition and quite beautiful. The reason it gets 3 stars is that pace of play was too slow for a course of this caliber. The ranger finally came by at hole 13 to apologize but it still didn't speed up. Also I didn't find the staff to be particularly friendly. No one welcomed, thanked or even asked us about our round. All in all, I could not recommend the club in confidence. read more

I golfed here for an outing and had a very good time. The course is kept in great shape. The holes have character and, overall, it's a very fun course. It's challenging enough, but not impossible. For the price, I'd like a little more (GPS carts, for example). I've golfed other courses, for less, that have equivalent services (club cleaning, etc.). Don't get me wrong, the service here was fantastic. Everyone was nice, the range is great, and the course is excellent. The problem is the rate - there are a lot of courses competing for your dollar, so you better stand above the rest if you want mine. read more

We have a sport membership so I play here about 10 rounds a year. I am no golfer. I hit a wee white ball with these fancy sticks. That said this is actually three beautiful courses. Each is quite different. Player: mogul/links type. Quite fun and challenging. Palmer: Classic course. Many challenging holes Trevino: my fave bc I stink. Not easy but easier. The folks here keep this place as perfect as can be from opening till closing day. Friendly and helpful are the operative words. Play 18, sit on the veranda and ponder what could have been if you bought Apple stock when it crashed and sold it at ....... read more

Me and some buddies went on a Stay and Play weekend package. Stayed at The Ridge. Played each course. Firstly, The Ridge is a very mediocre facility. It's like they tried to retro-fit a 4 -star hotel within the bones/footprint of a Motel 6. It didn't work. Also, tried to call the front desk at 11PM one night and got no answer. I quit after trying three times over the next ten minutes. That can't happen (especially at a property that wants to think of themselves as 4-star. And then there was the golf. The courses are beautiful and well maintained. Greens are true, but VERY sloped. And then there was this... Our cart ran out of juice during our first round after nine holes. To make it worse, a storm moved in. I called and called the clubhouse, and messaged and messaged through their system. They kept telling us somebody was coming to get us. 45 minutes later, a few girls game out with a cart to get us (maybe they could have shown up with some blankets, coffee, umbrellas....). And on our way in, we came across a few girls trying to push ANOTHER cart that had run out of juice. We---the guests--offered a hand in helping them push. To make it worse was the indifference of the staff. Upon returned I spoke with the pro. His main concern was absolving himself of blame ("We charge all our carts when they come back in.."). Then he simply capitulated, stating "OK.. What do you want?". He left it to me to ask for a free round as restitution (maybe he should have OFFERED it up, and not left it to me to have to ASK for it?). And he never apologized. After our trip, I messaged my contact their, as well as the general customer service e-mail. I never heard back from them. No apology. No nothing. Oh, and on one of our rounds there was no snack/beverage cart on the back nine (and I REALLY needed a Gatorade). And that morning we went for breakfast at the grill, and found that they only had a few sandwiches available bc the griddle was down!!!! (GRIDDLE WAS BROKEN!?!?!? THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WORK THE GRIDDLE!!! HOW CAN IT BE BROKEN!!!). Very disappointing all around. Their indifference to this experience only reinforced the laissez-faire attitude towards hospitality and customer service. I'll go to the Grand Geneva next time. read more

I am really shocked by the irresponsible response to the pandemic displayed by management. We booked a Stay and Play hotel and golf package in May. At that time there were no major restrictions and golf was considered a safe activity. About a week before our stay one of the our friends got sick with the fever and body aches. Covid or not we decided it wouldn't be a good idea to move forward with the trip. Although the other 3 of us were fine we had been around our sick friend on several occasions and could still be infected and asymptomatic. We explained this situation in detail to the individual we booked with, Tristan McNeil. She informed us there was a 10 day cancellation policy and couldn't refund us. I explained that I understand policies but these are not normal times or circumstances and every other company has modified policies accordingly. We were also giving sufficient notice several days prior to our trip not like it was the day before. We told her if we can't cancel that we were not wanting to lose our money and would continue with the trip but we disclosed that we have been exposed to someone that potentially has Covid. She did not object to this. We also copied Jeremy Binder on the email communication who is her associate or manager and he did not have any objections either. I just can't believe their lack of consideration and responsibility for the public health and safety of their guests. In the end we are going to be the responsible ones and not move forward with our trip bc it's not fair to other guests. Shame on Tristan and Jeremy for risking the health of guests for financial gain. We have been here before, would've stayed again in the future and have spent plenty of money at this resort. Unfortunately now another penny won't leave our pockets to go here again. read more

I'm planning a wedding there over Labor Day weekend and have very deep concerns. Honestly, I've personally planned events that have had fewer avoidable headaches I've tried reaching out to staff there to resolve this, feeling ignored. Staff. Treat every statement like you are a lawyer. Analyze every word. Because they will lie directly and by exclusion. We are on our third wedding planner right now. Started at the beginning when they misled us about the beer selection. We said this was extremely important to us. Promised the world, neglected the exorbitant price ($84 for a case of bottles! About $6 a bottle). Turns out that was her standard practice and that they count upon you being so happy with the event that you don't mind paying the extra fees. This is from that wedding planners supervisor, so if she knew about it would seem reasonable she condoned it. Then it turns out that they don't order until pretty close to the event so sorry, out of that one. Turns out their provided list didn't state that it was a seasonal that likely wouldn't be available. To her credit they did try to replace them with a bunch of bottle at no charge but these are that seem to just be lying around and easy to get. When that wedding planner quit, our second wedding planner lied to us about her experience level. When we asked her how long she had been a wedding planner she claimed 6 years. She later clarified to my aunt that she had only bee a wedding planner for 1 year but had worked at Geneva National for 6 years. That lack of experience showed in her repeated lack of attention to details and poor communication skills (such as repeated requests to not send multiple emails immediately after each other, they get missed), but for brevity we'll just talk about the tasting. Tasting was horrible, exacerbated by the fact we had family travel to come for it. It was cold....not room temperature but cold. Super salty too. When we asked about the chef, Wedding Planner #2 told us he was busy with a very large event and couldn't come out. I personally cannot believe a chef for a wedding would not be able to speak about concerns or even serve hot food. Completely unlike every other tasting I have ever been too. Between the lie (at best a halftruth, but still inexcusable) and the tasting, she had to go. They did plan repeat the tasting, it went much better, but why did it get screwed up in the first place? We had to make an additional trip (1.5hrs each way) to "fix" what should have been a routine event. And then the rooms.... In our contract we have a special rate and most importantly no requirement for a two-night minimum (crucial selling point). We get calls from guests who say they booked at a hotel in town because their quoted rates were much higher than our contracted rates and had a 2-night minimum. Because of this error, we were going to be charged for empty rooms; faced with the possibility of paying for empty rooms and having family not be able to stay nearby we are paying for rooms at that other place since many of our guests can't afford both and had to pay a deposit. So their problems My fiancé and future mother-in-law spoke to our current wedding coordinator about it, then they denied knowing about it. So someone is either lying OR they can't remember crucial details. BUT BOY ARE THEY EFFICIENT AT TAKING YOUR $$$$! Honestly, I was impressed. The last few was due 7 days before the wedding, they told us 9 days before they were taking the last payment AND it had to be done before 1130 AM because the finance person was leaving by then. This was on a Friday morning and while we wait for a response to please don't this we have to drop everything to move money around in case they didn't get our response in time. This was while we were at work. When I spoke with the wedding planner (#3 now, remember) and her supervisor they seemed shocked that I would be upset when they "made it right" and didn't seem to understand I was concerned that what would seem to be routine events in planning a wedding could not go smoothly the first time (tasting, buying alcohol, booking rooms, billing). read more

I just had my wedding at Geneva National last weekend! I was married on the Lakeview Terrace, had cocktails in the field nearby, with my reception in the Legends Room. Geneva National, especially our coordinator Katy Cook, made the stress of planning a wedding seem nonexistent. Katy was organized, full of great ideas/suggestions and most importantly very available to us! I cannot speak highly enough about this team and venue! We originally met with Pam, and she sold us on the space! Michelle was there to fix my dress as I walked down the aisle. The team works so well together and I can see why my wedding day was absolutely flawless! Aside from the amazing staff, our food was delicious and the rental company they recommended did an amazing job. Thank you! Thank you!! I can't wait to come back and visit!! read more

I really wouldn't call this place a resort. We stayed in one of the King Suites near the golf course. The room was updated and clean, though it felt more like a studio apartment in an apartment building than an actual hotel. It definitely felt more like "I'm at a golf course that just happens to have rooms to stay in," instead of a fully-integrated resort property. PROS: -- The room was modern, sleek, and clean. -- The minifridge and fireplace are nice touches. -- The property offers free shuttle service to the other parts of the resort. -- The package we bought included tickets to one of the river cruises, which the front desk scheduled for us, which was nice and convenient. -- Express checkout was super easy and convenient. -- It was nice to be able to log in to our streaming services on the TV instead of having to bring a device along. -- Bathroom was large and had a separate water closet. CONS: -- The bed weirdly did not have a fitted sheet on it. It was just a top sheet laid over a mattress pad. -- The room had an outdoor porch with seating, which was nice, but it also had the A/C unit right there, which made it loud to actually sit out there. -- Walls seem a bit thin. I could hear noises from different parts of the room, either from upstairs or next door. -- The pipes seemed very loud. Even turning on the sink was quite noisy. -- Not many in-room amenities...isn't some of the fun of staying in a hotel is paying an exorbitant amount for a newer release movie?? -- Very early check-out time at 10:00am. I don't think I've ever been made to check out that early. And if you can swing a late check-out, you still have to be out by 12:00pm. -- You have to travel to the other hotel to use the pools, get coffee or drinks, sit outside by the firepits, etc. There's only one restaurant in the actual golf clubhouse, the turf.steakhouse, which did have good food and service. -- About a 15-minute drive from downtown Lake Geneva, and there's construction happening for most of that drive currently. All-in-all, it was an okay stay in a clean, modernized room. I didn't mind it, but it's not somewhere I would ever be excited to get back to or stay again. read more

Brutal 5 hour round of golf with no rangers in site. No drinking water on the course to refill on but you can buy a five dollar bottle of water. Tee boxes beat up. Service is awful as well. Really disappointed in this place as I have been a fan for 20 years. If you are asking folks to pay $155.00 for a round of golf at least have the decency to provide a great experience. read more

We stayed at 1081 Hidden Cottage Circle. We rented the entire house for our family. The bathroom floors had hair and mold on them, the end tables in some rooms were so wobbly/broken we did not want to put anything on them. The furnishings and finishes were very dated. The kitchen was the worst equipped rental kitchen we have ever experienced. Not only was it far too small for such a big house, but it had no dish towels to dry dishes, the knives were so dull they could not barely cut through cold butter, there were very few pots and accessories, there was only one oven mitt to use, there were no instructions on what to do when we filled the kitchen trash can and where to put the bags, it said there was a firepit but there was not, the couches were so uncomforable because there was a rod toward the back of the seats so one of our family sat down quickly and bruised their coccyx bone badly--couches extremely uncomfortable, we used our own wipes to clean remotes/faucets/switchplate covers, etc and our cloths came out black because the cleaning was done so poorly. For almost $5000 for one weekend, we expected much much more. We will not be staying at that facility again. read more

**This is an edited review** I originally wrote this review based on an experience I had while trying to tour the club with my family. I have since toured the facility and can give an accurate review of GNCC as compared to other country clubs in the general area. First Impression: Long in the tooth. Any where you look - walls, lighting, decor, fixtures, carpeting (really bad), it is very evident that this facility has been neglected for quite some time. Bottom line, she hasn't aged well. In my opinion, you join a country club for three primary reasons: Golf, Social / Events, and Business. By business I mean you have an upscale facility to entertain/dine/drink with clients and colleagues. Let's examine these three as it relates to GNCC. Golf - To be fare, I didn't golf there because its February. They have three courses to choose from. I'm told they're nice. Socializing and social events - They boast a calendar not unlike most country clubs... Member Guest tournaments, holiday mixers, music on the veranda, etc. I don't feel they offer anything unique vs any other club. They do not have a pool or tennis on site. You can (for an extra fee of course) use their other resort property that's like a mile down the road. If I'm golfing, I would prefer that my family is near the clubhouse enjoying themselves, not at some remote location that costs extra. Business - This is a non starter. Every other country club that I toured is available to their members 12 months out of the year. By available I mean the facility, bars, restaurants, etc are available 12 months. Not Geneva National. Once the golf is done for the year, you don't have a place to take your clients for a lunch/dinner/drink. The only thing you can access (outside of planned events) is the gym (I wouldn't call it a gym) and pro shop. Part of the value of having a country club is again, an upscale and non public place to meet with business associates. Only having access to those services during the golf season is short sighted. Identity Crisis - Is this a private club or public facility? Well, GNCC would like to have their cake and eat it to. They like to point out during the tours that "here's the public lockers/pro shop/facilities" and over here are the "member". The reality is this. Revenues are down across the industry, no secret there, and GNCC is obviously trying to combat that. However, I don't think you can exist in both the public and private worlds. In summary, pretty long in the tooth, comes up short on services/availability, and the whole public/private thing. read more

My family and I rented a villa for Easter weekend and had a really nice time. We don't golf so I can't comment on that but looking out the windows at the golf courses was really beautiful. We were only there one night and mostly spent our time running around Lake Geneva so I can't say too much about the staff and the accommodations. The rooms were all very clean and I really liked those black out blinds. I kind of want them for my room at home. Everyone had a good time playing ping pong in the basement. Definitely recommended for a family get together. read more

3.5 really. The ceremony was very pretty and the lighting was pretty amazing. The reception was fun and entertaining. I know a lot of little things have 100% to do with the bride and groom and their choices, but as a venue it was pretty on par with every other place. I was part of a large and lavish wedding located here. Over the top and luxurious. The coordinator that worked for the venue was very good. She was calm and kept a very high strung group of people on their games. A couple negatives. After the ceremony all 200+ people had to walk outside and around the reception hall to get to cocktail hour. It was cold, rainy, wet and slippery... The coats that the guests checked at the ceremony were brought to the reception hall as well....so you had to walk outside without your coat as well. The server at the reception spilled many glasses of wine while pouring at the head table and placed an entire glass of champagne on a folded up napkin, causing it to spill. We also stayed at the Inns.... That is a 3 out of 5 place. The rooms are decorated in pale wood, hunter green plaid and pale blue... Like walking right into my grandmother's spare room. Spacious rooms and big beds. Small tv, no air floor, very dry rooms, windows broken and fell out of the sill. For the price of this place I was expecting top notch. read more

First off when you first see the grounds Beautiful and even the cottage was nice on the outside. When you got into the main door of the cottage nothing was labeled so we had to open doors to see hallways than you were able to fine your room. First when you walk into the room there were stains on the carpets. As for the bathroom the tub side was so high and no handles to get in and out and being a short person the tub side came a little bit below my hip. When I took a shower barely any hot water and the drain sucked because by the time I finished my shower the water was up to my ankles. The bed was something else, the fitted sheets did not fit the bed at all came off during the night and the pillows were not full size either. We were told there was one parking spot for each of the rooms there was not. Some of the cottages we're having a party and instead of parking in the lot we had to walk a bit to our room. I would say for 300.00 dollars a nite wasn't worth it at all. We couldn't wait to leave. Was gone why 7:30 am. read more

The two courses we played (Palmer and Player) were good tracks, but surrounded by houses. I guess it was expected, but it does detract to a certain degree. They were good layouts, but what I remember about this place was that i was glad I played there, but didn't see a reason to return. read more

WOW. What great courses. We played all three and stayed overnight for the "Stay & Play" package. As another yelper has mentioned, some fairways are lined with homes/condos. This is to be expected on a golf course in Southeastern Wisconsin. There are actually only a handful out of the 54 holes that have homes, with the majority of holes winding through old growth forest reminiscent of the Kettle Moraine area. Drainage is wonderful on this course as well... we played during the early season with rainstorms that completely saturated the course one late afternoon, but the next morning there was no standing water. I would recommend any of the three courses to any level of golfer, lower handicaps will appreciate the plentiful sand and water, as well as the length. Price is pretty steep, but again, this is to be expected in the Lake Geneva area. Clubhouse is nice, food is good, courses are great. Can't see how anyone could give this place anything less than 5 stars. read more

A couple of the servers had masks, no workers in the pro shop certainly none outside. Big groups of guys in the inside bar hugging / horsing around like nothing is going on? You can't claim to be a "resort" course and not have GPS in carts. Pony up and spend the extra money, just like I splurged to play your mediocre course. Pace of play is a tough concept to grasp, so I don't blame the pro shop for not being able to get the round under 5.5 hours. Having 3 groups on a par 3 allows for plenty of time to walk off the yardage. read more

Do incredibly angry!!!!! Drive two hours to see the ice castle and was told upon arrival they closed at 5:00 for the day. We purchased tickets and everything. The inept person informing everyone shared with us it closed because the ice was "slippery". Well no sh*# ice is slippery! It's implied. We were also told a text went out. Which we didn't receive because we were driving. My family doesn't make it a habit of checking texts while driving. When I explained this Shauna who was one of several bad news bearers told me "You should have checked your text or email." I explained I was driving, and she said "Well, you should have checked it." So apparently Geneva National hires and employs people who believe one should endanger themselves and those around them to check a text and an email while driving! Where's the negative star choice. Recently played there. Was scheduled to play Trevino. Asked at pro shop if we could do the Players course. The said yes. Went to starter, got score card and was told we where clear to go. After 1st hole, we see a Marshall, he said things going good, stated group in front was part of a tourney and be done by hole 7. After finishing hole 3, another employee comes out hostile and claims we are on wrong course. Had to put dude on check and tell him we where told that we good, also explained the following 3 interactions! He then had communication on radio to head person, then said we have to go to other course since the Players is only for event players today. So we go, since we drove two hours to get there and would have just played that one to start with! As we pass the head course manager, he snarks at us that we are people on wrong course and dismisses us. Disappointing service and response to THEIR MISTAKE. acted like it was our fault. 2nd time here and prolly last as both times I thought attitude of service was negative. read more

I played here this past weekend. I've had better experiences at local public courses. The bathroom at the turn was abysmal!! I cannot go on as it is too disgusting. The turn was sooooooo far away from the clubhouse, there were no alternatives. Also, for the price you pay, they should have GPS on the carts. It's ridiculous to be 2012 and not have GPS. Geez, get with the program!! The play was slow and the rangers didn't seem to try to speed it up. Probably not on the list anymore. read more

Don't go to the restaurant if you're not a member. The food was fine. Pretty basic golf course type sandwiches for lunch. But we waited over an hour and half to get our food. We had to flag down the server and ask him when it was coming after we hadn't heard from him for 45 minutes. They comped our meal, which was appreciated. But afterwards, we were told by a neighbor that they had had the same experience there. We were told they serve the members first - I have no way of verifying if that's true, but I can't figure out why they were so behind on a Sunday at 1:00 in the afternoon. My husband and I had an amazing wedding experience thanks to Geneva National Resort! We had to our wedding from out of state, but our coordinator, Pam, was responsive and helpful even from afar. Email correspondance was easy and fast. She has experience working with many local vendors and helped us select reputable vendors, which we appreciated. We chose to have our wedding in the Legends Room, which has a gorgeous wrap-around view of Lake Como and the golf courses. The space was large enough for our 150 wedding guests, and we had room for a large dance floor, two bar stands, and a photobooth. The resort allowed us to use golf carts to navigate the grounds for wedding portraits - my feet were thankful! The food was delicious, and we were able to customize our menu due to our guests' dietary concerns (nut allergies, gluten intolerance, fish and seafood allergies, etc.). I only wish that they had offered coffee to all the guests after dinner - only a few guests knew to ask for it. It was easy to set up payments with the billing department, and they emailed us before charging our credit card on due dates. All interactions with staff members were positive, both before the wedding and on our wedding day. The bridal suite (within the Legends building) is gorgeous in our "getting-ready" photos. The resort staff waited until ALL guests left before tearing down the tables and decor, which was very nice! One note to couples who would like to get married on site: there is a ceremony venue right next to the building, which is very convenient! We chose to marry in a church and only have the cocktail hour and reception at Geneva National. Thanks so much for a wonderful day! read more

We have a foursome that spends one weekend a year at a golf facility as a "mens" weekend of golf and fun. We usually play Deere Run by Moline, but decided to stay fairly local and play Geneva National last year. All I can say is, WOW! It was definitely more expensive than the Moline area, but the service at the entire facility was some of the best we have seen anywhere. Period. Not just a golf course, but any public establishment. I'm in sales and realize that it is hard to be nice to everyone all the time, but the entire staff must have been trained well. Everyone was polite, fun, accommodating and a genuine joy to deal with. Trust me, that is unusual these days. It is not cheap (but what is), the accommodations are a little long in the tooth, but the courses and people make the difference here. I would recommend giving it a shot. Are there things that I could nit pick? Absolutely. But hey, I'm not perfect either!! But I still like me!!! Three courses, John Daly's on Tap (Tito's Vodka), friendly people, and golf, golf, golf. What's not to love? read more

I played Trevino this past Saturday and was impressed with the condition of the course, but specifically the new Billy bunkers. They were in great shape and with all new sand. We also ate at the Grill and had a nice dinner. The chicken tacos were excellent. Nice selection of beers and cocktails, I would highly recommend. read more

I stayed at the hotel and played all 3 courses. The hotel ambience is perfect and our stay was enjoyable. However the courses are poorly run. On two of the 3 courses we waiting on nearly every hole. 5 plus hours one day and 6 hours another day. And the worst part is that the staff accepts it as normal, telling us it was our problem for not playing earlier or later. I will not play here again. read more
