The Palmer Course was in fabulous shape. We were a twosome so we expected slow play. BUT A Marshall…read morecould have got us thru the SLOW group in front of us that had two open holes in front of them. Or get them moving. We waited on every hole. A few tips. The kid at the bag drop could have actually helped get our bags out of the car. One of the Marshall's came over to us (2 women) as we were getting out to putt. "Make sure you don't go on the members only putting green". We saw the sign did we get that comment because we're women? Asked the starter for any course tips. "We'll I've NEVER Played from the ladies tees!" That's it again he was speaking to 2 single digit handicaps. He let that SLOW fore some hit 3 balls each and they started 6 minutes behind. When are old men at the course going to stop treating women golfers like second class citizens. Might need to train your staff with some how to give course advise. The greens are fast & undulating. Watch for the 150 marker as a good target. It isn't hard to do this right! That's why I dinged your rating. The course was beautiful!!

We booked two nights at this resort and paid over $500 per night! At that price I was expecting a…read morefabulous room complete with toiletries dressing, gowns, slippers, and the works. NOT SO !!! the room was a basic standard room. The walls were so thin. We could hear everything the people in the next room weee saying . There were no toiletries. There were no dressing gowns . There wasn't even a safe in the room, which was absolutely astonishing . We were near an exit door that led to the parking spot and the trash was overflowing for the full duration of our stay . We tried to get our TV to link up to our Netflix account which in itself was quite a process Maintenance had to come out and try and help us with it. 20 minutes later we were told it was not functioning . Granres when we spoke to management, they did give us credit for the resort fee . Overall a pretty bad experience for the price we paid.

The one thing I cannot say exactly was how much we paid for the room because out of the thousands…read moreof hotels that have stayed at and reviewed throughout my entire Yelp career, this room felt like a above average budget hotel. We enjoyed it there was a balcony outside but that balcony rail is absolutely loose it seems like a liability waiting to happen. There's plenty of tourists here and a lot of people will act like they forgot how to park or they expect top notch privilege which will make going up to the front desk a giant pain upon arrive . If you see a parking spot near the front just take it and walk in and check in . Some of the amenities are pretty cool but I do feel like this place was a bit overrated for the time being. This place felt very outdated as well but this place can be pretty much dead at certain times of the year. The breakfast here is solid but it is absolutely expensive if you go for the Continental package. They charged me $54 and it wasn't even all that good it's probably worth $30 at best. If I knew it was going to be that expensive and underwhelming I would have walked to the gas station and probably paid $10. I will say that there are Lobby shines bright and so does their bar. Whenever there's a party going on usually there's a lot of life going on over here. If you're going to go anywhere and not drive , I recommend taking an Uber and not a Lyft because the price difference is huge. For an expensive stay, I will lean that this place was a 2.75 star experience. So I will leave it at three stars.

I had an outstanding experience at The Abbey thanks to Illeyana--also known (and now forever…read moreremembered) as Ms. Goldfish. From the moment we walked in, her energy, attentiveness, and genuine friendliness set the tone for the entire visit. She was on top of everything--quick service, great recommendations, and always checking in without being overbearing. It's rare to find someone who makes you feel both taken care of and completely relaxed at the same time, but Illeyana nailed it. The nickname "Ms. Goldfish" fits perfectly--she kept things fun, memorable, and just a little bit legendary. If you're heading to The Abbey, do yourself a favor and ask for her. Customer service like that is hard to come by. We'll definitely be back!
