My biggest concern with Destinations Pebble has been the ongoing connectivity and communication issues affecting this area and, specifically, our unit. There have been repeated problems involving unreliable cell service, dropped calls, inconsistent communication access, and even issues with landline reliability. We added a landline in an attempt to improve communication; however, those calls have also experienced interruptions and dropped connections. What is especially concerning is that even FirstNet, a network designed for first responders and emergency personnel, has had little to no reliable signal within our unit. For many residents -- particularly seniors, medically vulnerable individuals, or those living alone -- this raises legitimate safety concerns. Reliable communication should be considered a basic necessity in any residential community. We switched carriers from Verizon to T-mobile with no luck. I understand it's not the responsibility of the property to ensure cell service, but it's a deeper issue than that. There have been multiple written complaints submitted to both on-site management and Greystar corporate regarding these concerns, yet meaningful follow-up or resolution has been absent. Another frustrating aspect is that the unit ultimately leased to us was not the same unit initially presented during the leasing process. It is possible that the originally shown unit may not have experienced the same level of connectivity issues. These concerns do not appear to be isolated. There have been ongoing public complaints from surrounding residents and businesses regarding communication and infrastructure-related issues in this area, along with published reporting discussing nearby connectivity challenges. In situations where emergency communication may be necessary, residents should never have to question whether calls will connect or unexpectedly drop. I strongly encourage prospective residents to thoroughly research the area, speak with current residents, and personally test both cellular service and Wi-Fi calling throughout the property before signing a lease. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most stressful living experiences I have encountered. Having to leave the apartment, sit in a vehicle, and drive around the parking lot in hopes of finding a signal in order to handle important medical-related calls is unacceptable, especially in a community with many senior residents and individuals managing healthcare-related needs. read more

I live here. This apartment complex really focuses on the residents. The lifestyle coordinator plans parties and events that are off the hook. There's plenty of music, dancing and food. The leasing office is full of friendly, knowledgeable leasing agents. The grounds are impeccable with many amenities. The pool is clean, warm and refreshing. There is a great exercise room too. My apartment is spacious and beautiful. The bathroom is great with bars in the showers. Management is so friendly and amazing. Overall the staff is all super heroes. I was so frustrated out of my mind that I almost didn't call Destinations. A convivial Cynthia answered the phone and shared some "too good to be true" information with me - head scratching, are you sure? That's for real? type of thing. Cynthia's softness, candor, and sincerity were enough for me to take a chance on an appointment. I trotted over there on a lunch break to find Cynthia waiting with everything ready to go. She was more mindful of my short window of time than I was. She wrote my name on a welcome sign at the front door. How kind is that? An old lady mayor-of-the-block type walked up and gave me the business about my tight pants and hassled me about my age, which I found super hilarious. When I explained that my dad was the perspective tenant, she switched and wanted to tell me about all the activities. Oldsters, man. Eesh! Lol. I previewed everything with Cynthia and brought my dad right back so she could tour him. He was satisfied, and just like Cynthia told me in the first 5 minutes I talked to her, I was able to button thing up the same day. I don't respect very many people beyond general basic courtesy, but Cynthia earned a special level of appreciation from me. I did the work, paid the dough, and will be the one to complete the rest of the job, but this woman helped me to clear a life obstacle that had me pressed in a big way. When we first moved to this complex, everything looked great! Cynthia in the office is amazing, and was wonderful in showing us several apartments around the place. The programs they put on are also very good, and Lisa Self does a good job. However the problems they have are many. First, security is lacking. We have had Many instances of homeless folks squatting in empty apartments. Second, the gate to the pool is inoperable, and homeless folks bathe in the pool during the evening hours. Finally, the pool is Not treated in accordance with health standards. We came to the pool the other day only to find it Green, having been untreated for goodness knows how long. For the amount of money we are spending on rent, it is unbelievable that this kind of stuff happens. It goes to show that looks are certainly not everything and a peek behind the curtain reveals an intentional lack of good maintenance, security and repair. The pool is Not professionally cleaned in accordance with county law and city ordinance. They allow squatters in their Many empty apartments, and their "security gates" don't work, which allows entry for squatters and homeless folks to come onto the grounds. There have been numerous thefts and car break in's. Unreal. I. And wait for my lease to be up so we can get the hell out of here. read more

We stayed at Destination pebbles for 10 months. First time I rented in DECADES - We were in NV for a short duration & I'm a homeowner in Hawaii, but we needed a place to stay which was handicap ready while we were up there I'm still happy for chosing Destinations Pebble. Made lots of fun memories. I have been a landlord/ mainentance worker for like 40+ yrs. So my review is as tenant/as landlord/resident manager of over 13+ apartments for decades and experience as a caregiver Our tenancy there was a pleasant experience with on site workers: office, maintenance and Lisa Activity director is an angel in disguise , she definitely is the heartbeat of the life of the place. The shuttle service was excellent but seems they go thru drivers a lot (most likely that too due to graystar owners) The office workers are ontop of things was a great help before during and after moving residing and leaving residency. Maintenance (great team) and hard workers and very hospitible. I put in orders via portal as recommended and they addressed issues accordingly and they do go above and beyond even off hours when incidents happened especially a few emergency situations. They ensured tenants were SAFE. I seen some tenants like DEMAND and order in demeaning ways makes me wonder if lots of the complainers on yelp are in the meld of those types. The apartment itself was clean and complex was always tended to, they definitely take pride in their work. For emergency items like a/c heat going out and heater they were ONTOP of it came right away.. I didn't even report minor things though but brought to attention. When I first got there many tenants were constantly complaining about workers and maintenance and all sorts of things, so I was expecting the worst.. But, as each passing month rolled along, I saw the real problem wasn't with onsite employees it was with the TENANTS .. Some Tenants are chronic complainers and they live to complain they think EVERYONE has to live by their standards and they only think of self and are disrespectful to other tenants and staff.. They complained about everything.! Then you have those with mental illnesses Oh boy.. and u pity them that are not of sound mind and try to intervene n get them help when need be... But , Its a disaster waiting to happen.. mixing mentally ill individuals with seniors. I understand you can't discriminate and a person may be on meds when they sign up for residency but when they are off meds n residents they are a threat (I don't say that lightly) office took care of incidents promptly. But with NO ONSITE security (the one they have in place just drives in and out ) It makes the whole gated community a joke... Graystar should be ashamed of themselves for taking big bucks from seniors and not giving back by at least getting 2 security guards for day and 2 for night cuz everyone in paradise has the codes to the gate n there are many homeless roaming . With security one at front gate monitoring gates and one walking complex it would be a much better secure place. The apartment complex is wonderful workers and all.. But its apartment living and lots of drama.. One can't jus hide in apartments . I used to just go to Southpoint Casino n and just stay there as much as I could , so I could smoke cigarettes and have peace of mind and get away from the drama. Some tenants were very judgemental especially against smokers (its like they pointing fingers at smokers as if they are evil but their stench of ignorance n beings was much worst) I don't know how all the workers deal with it all. Then one lady who claims to be a Christian but she is the most judgemental person at the complex. You gotta jus ignore them n try not to get caught in it. There were wonderful tenants as well - good hearted seniors I miss their unique personalities ....but its those instigator constant complainers and those who think they are superior , who forget they signed up for apartment living and the whole complex isn't theirs alone. But my main concern (as a caregiver too) is the mentally ill residents who act up on occasions ..their radical behaviors could pose a threat to seniors. If there was ONSITE security...onsite day and especially at night too which could monitor and have SECURITY make reports and monitor things and prevent lots from happening. I don't feel seniors should be used for neighborhood watch not in these days and ages . I foresee many more incidents at Destination Pebbles because GRAYSTAR neglects to do their part to ensure its a safe place. Day time office and maintenance gotta wear different hats & monitor drama and incidents and it shouldn't fall on employees but PERMANENT security should be made .. Graystar needs to GIVE BACK by alloting more funding for activities and getting some security there.. To me GRAYSTAR is the ones taking advantage of seniors in many ways financially and it should be audited and looked into. Onsite workers are a blessing. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE: I moved here in March 2023. Within the month, I realized I had a neighbor whose entertainment speakers were too loud. I could not sit in my living room and enjoy my TV without the constant loud bass making it impossible to enjoy my television. It even got to the point where it started affecting my sleep. The noise would start at 7:00-7:30am every morning (waking me up) and go until 8:30-9:00pm at night. One night I tried sitting in my living room and I could actually feel the bass vibrations underneath my feet. I went over to the office on 4-5 different occasions (they apparently don't read emails because I "never" got a response to any of my emails) to complain about the noise. I spoke with the Community Manager (Felicia), and Assistant Community Manager (Melissa) and the Leasing Professional (Regina), all on separate occasions. Nothing changed. Finally, on May 30, 2023, I met with the Community Manager to see if I could possibly move to another unit. There were none available comparable to the unit I was occupying. Since I couldn't move to another unit, it was "agreed" that I would be able to terminate my lease with Destinations Pebble with "NO PENALITIES." Felicia, the Community Manager, agreed to this. I followed up this meeting with an email, dated May 30, 2023, confirming our agreement, "with a copy to the Asst. Community Manager". In the email, I gave notice that I would be terminating my lease and moving, effective July 1, 2023. I ended the email with "Please contact me if you have any questions or if there are additional information/instructions you need me to know." No response from her or Melissa. So, I moved. I moved out on June 16, 2023 but I had paid rent for the entire month so I wouldn't be rushed with move out, clean up, etc. I returned the keys on June 29, 2023. Here is where you should pay close attention to the above dates. I received a call on July 17, 2023 from the Asst. Community Manager informing me that I was late on my rent, what? I don't live at your property so how can I be late? I copied her on all the emails! If you will recall, the agreement was "no penalties." I gave them a $200.00 deposit which I expected to get back minus the trash, sewer, and water ONLY. Nevada law states that rental deposits should be returned within 30-days after vacating the property. I contacted them on August 3, 2023 to ask the status of my check. I finally received it on or about August 12th or 13th. But get this, it was only for $58.95. Take a look at Photo #1 and look at all the crap they are charging me for, dishonestly I might add. All the yellow highlighted charges should not be subtracted. They tried to charge me for utilities for the month of May 2023 (utilities were paid with my June 2023 rent, fortunately, I had the receipt). They even have a charge on there for the month of August 2023, I moved out in June?? There's a late charge on there that Felicia says was removed. Okay, even the late charge is more than $58.95 so that makes no sense. If you subtract the utilities which only amounts to $33.09, that leaves a balance of $166.91. If you subtract $58.95 from $166.91, they still owe me $107.96. They charged me a $15.00 "move out fee"? I paid a $600.00 "community fee" and a $20.00 "utility set-up fee" when I moved in (non-refundable) and you want to charge me for moving out? I contacted Felicia and questioned the charges on this statement. She called me back on August 18th and said I could expect another $50.00 check. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING as of today, October 5, 2023. I had experience with Greystar Property Management when I lived in Franklin, TN prior to moving here to Nevada. In case Greystar wants to verify this, I lived at Viera Cool Springs from 2020-2023. Your property management of Viera was horrible, I don't think Greystar lasted a year there were so many complaints. I really tried not to rent from any Greystar properties here in Nevada but time ran out and I had to either accept this apartment or live out of a hotel. All the other places I contacted either were too expensive, had no availability or I didn't meet the income requirements (income not low enough). I convinced myself that maybe it would be ok since it's the "people" that make up a company. Well, your employees in Tennessee were dishonest and it appears they are here too. Please note, Photo 2 is the final statement I received from ZRS Management, the company that was hired after Greystar was let go. Photo 2 is what "honesty" looks like. They could have really screwed me over since I moved across the country but they didn't. Viera Cool Springs was not a senior community and I was treated honestly and fairly. Shame on Greystar for the way you are treating a senior citizen who did nothing wrong. I just wanted to find a "peaceful" place to live. read more

Put my laundry basket on top of the washer, it got stuck so I had to get on a stepstool to get it down. That filthy layers of years of dust, is what I found. And I have really bad allergies.. I also smelled a stench. Which I reported to the apartment leasing office. As I was unpacking a few weeks ago opened the cabinet under the kitchen sink, and the smell literally took my breath away I started coughing profusely. Reported to the management office that I could smell mold. I also told them that I have been coughing profusely nonstop, and was very sick to the stomach and throat burning. It's been about three weeks now they refuse to do anything. Destinations Pebble sent me an email stating that they don't have to live up to my standards! They are a giant company, who has connections everywhere you try to turn. Warning run! This is a senior apartment, they liierally don't care if tenants died from mold. I have been getting sicker every week. I have brought air purifiers, sealed up around the kitchen sink. But it keeps getting worse.Greystar will not going to spend a dime to fix anything, but quickly to collect your $1500-$2000 rent every single month. Then they lie and deny any and all issues, by sending an email stating that thy have conducted a investigation, and found everything to be in workin order. What investigation I was the year the one time they came. They had the maintenance guy come over, just to say that he didn't smell anything. Then he left and no one ever came back.! After having these issues did some research on, Greystar management. This seems to be the way they operate. The same complaints over and over, and nothing ever gets done. The BBB said they have so many complaints that they cannot list them all. They absolutely refuse to rectify anything. Even the things that cause health issues and habitation. Staff is great, maintenance is always ready and available to help and resoond. My AC went out a week ago and Eddie had it fixed within 2 hours! My issue is with the 1970s appliances which are NOT energy efficient, radiate enough heat to raise the room temp, and work most of the time. Fridge was replaced after maintenance identified the overheating issues. It's probably more affordable to buy and install your own than pay for 1990s appliances. read more

We've been living here for 3 yrs now and have been very happy. Lisa, Activities Director, is very creative and has been working hard even during COVID to keep us all involved in something. Karen is always approachable and always helpful. The maintenance team do their best to keep up with the many requests for help, quite often going out of their way to help. Is it perfect here? Is it perfect anywhere? For the rent we pay, we feel we get an excellent deal. Beautiful pool, clubhouse and outside areas. Activities that are fun and creative. We love living here! read more

I've been here around 8 or 10 years. The location is good, the maintenance crew is way above average if you have any problem with your apartment. I'm a retired Journeyman Pipe Fitter, and can attest to that. A little over 1 year ago I found out how disturbingly little those at the corporate, and managerial level care about being even just fair with their handicapped tenants. I have "stage 4" COPD, only 25% of my lungs are functional. I live on the 3rd floor of a building with "1" elevator. And if it being down for "2 months" wasn't bad enough, some of my elderly neighbor's have handicap's that make using the stairs a real health hazard, and 1 I know who can't use the stairs. Got the old "waiting for a part" routine. Been in the trades 25 years in Chicago, and never heard of any part taking "2 months". You could build a small elevator in less time! Made a suggestion to rent a unit on the 1st floor, and was told it would cost me a fee of around $300 for the credit check! Never had a check them or anyone else bounce. And now because of their incompetence to supply me with a building that has a working elevator "that Im paying for", then want to extort even more money from me? Guess what? It went out again, and of course on a friday. We're now in our fifth day of no elevator. This place would be great if you take a unit on the 1st floor. If you rent a unit in a building where an elevator would be a necessity because of a medical condition, or have an episode where one becomes one after signing a lease. You'd be as helpless as we are now. The managements sympathy does nothing to help get you up, and down those stairs, and what really makes you mad as your struggling up those stairs. I rented the guest suite for my family and it was lovely and cozy. The management team did a wonderful job in decorating it and maintaining it. My family loved staying there and would do it again. This place looks like a resort, I have been using the gym and walking the grounds, I do feel safe at night and it is very peaceful. I look forward to using the pool this summer. My maintenance service requests are done in a timely manner (same day turn-around-time). I do have the best view - my windows face west. I do luv this place and do not plan to move any time soon. Moved in on November 21, 2019. On the 8th day we could take a shower. On the 16th day we could do laundry. On the 13th day we gave 60 days' notice that we would not live here any longer than that. Were informed that this (because it is in our lease) would cost us $1500! To this day, I believe we should not be responsible for this charge. The lease should include a statement requiring management and staff to treat ALL residents with dignity and respect! I have had multiple seizures since we moved in due to stress from the office staff. I have been treated with such disrespect that I would NEVER recommend anyone live here. Many people stay simply because they have nowhere else to go, or can't afford to move. This "renovated" apartment was not inspected after it was cleaned. The sinks in the bathroom were not attached to the counter. Washer and dryer disgustingly filthy. Refused to put any clothes in them. Closet guides in both bedrooms were screwed into the carpet, and nothing more, so no guides after the first few days. Black shades on every window make for a dark, depressing environment, even on a beautiful, sunny morning. Changing out every toilet in the complex has been a fiasco. During the 17 years these apartments have stood standing, toilets of every shape and size have been installed, and replacing them has turned out to be hideous, with templates under the new (round seated) toilets that don't cover where the old one was. In order to take a shower, do laundry, or wash dishes, the heater must be turned off, or else you are using extremely cold water if the heater runs. And it is very likely to come on during a shower, etc. because the windows leak cold air in like a sieve. There are no instructions for using the stove and oven. For some reason, the first time we turned on the oven, we had to open the doors to let out the smoke that filled the whole apartment in seconds, during warming up. Decided to use the microwave for dinner, instead! For all this, we are expected to pay $1500 to terminate our lease after 13 days. They wouldn't even let us see the apartment before we came to sign the lease because "they were still working in there". It would have been easy to see, even the day before we got the keys, that the apartment was NOT move-in ready. And nobody took the time to inspect it. That much is clear. The reply from Community M. below is used on this site multiple times and many other websites. Exactly the same wording for every negative review. It is probably Greystar's response, but Heaven forbid anyone actually care, make any changes that cost them money, or get to know their residents (and their true concerns). They need competition! And you really should see the mess they made replacing the toilets in every apartment! THAT is going to cost money! MORE money! And STILL going to look tacky. (EDIT) ... Had hoped to try to visit with manager at 10 am today (01/10/20), but my Nurse is coming early for my infusion. Will try after I am done for the day, but Lisa seems to make her own hours, or have the staff say she is not here when she is. There is no way to know because her office is at the end of a labyrinth, out of Tenants' view. (EDIT AGAIN)... I did make the attempt on the 10th to see the manager, who's name I only this week learned is Lisa, but I was told that I would have to wait until she called the following week to make an appointment. They are well aware that by this time next week we will no longer live here. My previous attempts to speak to the manager have resulted in my being shooed from the office like a stray cat! I have had a few request lately from maintenance to activities schedule info needed and Karen has gone over and above to see I get what I needed and wanted in such a quick and friendly fashion it is a joy to speak with her. She jumps through hoops to see things are taken care of. Suzanne has always done the same for me so we have people in the office that really make me feel happy to be here. Oh did i mention we have the greatest activities director! we do!! Lisa WOO HOO I've been here 7 years and obviously very happy with Destinations Pebble. Now, my sister and brother are going to be snow birds here this year and the process is going so smoothly! Frank M-In general, a pleasant to live. The grounds and buildings are clean maintained well. The office staff is Karen & Lisa are attentive to our needs and service requests. The maintenance team: Eddie, Pedro, & Ariel are all terrific. I've especially had good fortune lately to have all my service requests handled within 24 hours. Maintenance arrives with their masks on, and keep them on until they leave your apartment. Over the last five years generally a very pleasant living experience. Because of the pandemic, some of the amenities: such as club house, gym, pool, fun bus, are not currently available for our safety. But I'm sure will return when it ends. The clubhouse has been out of commission for months. One of the leasing agents is useful, but one is disorganized and dishonest. The apartments do not have fire extinguishers. The agent promised me one apartment, wrote down its number and showed it to me. When I came to move in a few days later, she then put me in a different apartment. Bait and switch. Furthermore, once you are in, be prepared for them to advise you that they cannot assist you in case of emergency. Sons & Daughters & Family members....please do not leave your loved one here unless you are able to constantly assist them daily. The landscaping is beautiful and well maintained throughout the complex, The residents and staff are friendly and helpful and there is a real sense of community and family. Be very careful when looking for an apartment here. They have mastered the bait and switch technique to a t. They promised to let us have a six month lease and the next day it had to be a seven month lease. They told us we would have an apt with a view of garden across from health club and pool and the very next day, you got it , it was the wrong room. The room we would be getting had a view of the parking lot and a fence. We came in from out of town and had a 2pm appointment and lie and behold no one was there. When someone finally showed up they were dealing with two families at the same time so much for privacy and professionalism. There are enough places in Henderson and vegas that you shouldn't even consider this place. I have live here at destination pebble going on eight years. Julie the activity director is a hard working and very profesional. She respect the tenants. Regarding the manager she insults the tenants, when u go into the office and close her office door in your face. She does not give the tenants the time of day. We had a meeting with her and the tenants asked her to speak a little louder. She told us she is not here to entertain us. The outside lights for my building are out over two year. The grounds are filty. The light in brezee way full of bugs. We have gate that is broken so any body can get thru and do damage to are cars. We need to have a open meeting with the management to let you guys know what we think. And all these dogs that fesee all over that place. Ower do not pick up behind them. read more
