The cigar shop inside the venue was excellent -- the staff member was kind, knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The bartender was also friendly, and the drinks were very good. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for me. As someone who's fairly new to the cigar world, I expected some smoke, but the air quality was extremely rough. Even the seasoned cigar smokers I was with commented on how hard it was to breathe. We asked if they could turn up the HVAC system, which they did, and it helped somewhat, but it still wasn't enough to make the space comfortable. My biggest issue, however, is the lack of compassion shown toward customers -- especially in how negative reviews are handled. The responses to criticism are surprisingly aggressive and defensive. Instead of acknowledging feedback or trying to improve, reviewers are often insulted, berated, and even told not to return. That kind of response is shocking and unprofessional. Most people are simply offering honest opinions as customers, not attacking the business. Whether it's the owners or whoever manages their social media, this approach needs serious reconsideration. Telling customers not to come back because of constructive criticism is not a sustainable or respectful business model.

Mac and cheese was heavy but everything was fresh. The way the Brussels sprouts are cooked isn't my fortay but the flavor was good. Truffle fry's weren't bad either. The ficoccia bread was great.

The vibe was lively but comfortable, with most tables and the bar filled. Since we visited in February, we leaned heavily into their specials menu. We skipped the small plates and went straight for the mains: the Greek Salad with Steak, the Steak and Gorgonzola Flatbread, and the Vine Burger. Every dish was a hit, though my wife found the red wine vinaigrette on the salad to be just "okay" rather than great. For drinks, we stuck to the mocktails. We tried all three on the menu, and the Blueberry Mule (ginger beer based) was the undisputed winner. We'll have to come back for the cocktails another time since they looked promising! We capped the night with the Apple Blossom pastry with vanilla ice cream--it is a total "must-try." Overall, the service was courteous, the ambiance was spot-on, and parking was a breeze. We'll definitely be back!

Wyndham Gardens Arlington is now the Hotel Arlington. It is now an INDEPENDENT hotel with new…read moreowners and management. FORGET the old reviews, under the new owners this is a quiet gem tucked away in an unlikely spot - next to a storage rental place, but that is a plus - it is off the busy road and nice and quiet. The Arlington is beautiful. Unlike similarly-priced hotels like the Hilton Express (and the super-crappy LaQuinta) in Marysville, this a luxurious, gorgeous hotel, with dark wood paneling and brass fittings, a beautiful entry in the middle of two water feature coy ponds, a relaxing and well-decorated lounge, and really good management, under General Manager, Lema. Use your GPS to find the turn - if you pass a storage unit business you just missed it. It is part of a larger building with offices first, keep going about 50 feet and you will be in the drop off area. We good a King bed corner room, and the first thing that made me happy -well, the second, because the first was true concierge check-in by Lema) were the TWO marble-topped vanities, both with hair dryers! One in the room, and one in the roomy bathroom. Well lit, and no fighting for a mirror when you are getting ready to go to an event, like a concert at Tulalip. (BTW there is a shuttle to the casino and back, up to 2 a.m.) The squeaky-clean room had all the amenities - A modern Visio TV screen, an upholstered chair to relax in with a standing linen lamp to read and relax by, a desk (marble top) and a dresser (I hate not having a dresser, even for an overnight stay) a mini fridge and easy to use coffee maker/water heater. The creamy taupe shades made a lovely ambient light, the bed was comfy, with plenty of pillows and extra bedding in a drawer; closet had a double mirror, ironing board and iron, and the hotel soaps were nice. Everything in the room worked. Plenty of water pressure, the switches and plug-ins, the remote, and heating and cooling. That seems like it should be a given, but so many badly run hotels do so poorly checking these things. I should note that we did not have a reservation, so they didn't check it last-minute, it was ready. I DO recommend reservations though, this sweetheart hotel won't be a secret long. The pool was open and clean, with a whirlpool next to it. Not huge, but not crowded with clean dressing rooms and towels. I went down in the morning and splashed around with some kids that were there with their folks, which was fun. The exercise room was not elaborate, but again clean and the machines worked. The breakfast fare was pretty standard but plenty of choices - coffee, tea, pastrys, fruit, four kinds of cereal, yogurt... The hot breakfast offered scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage -all well cooked and warm little pancakes and syrup...I don't remember everything except that the woman running it was as nice and accomodating as she could be, and kept things stocked. If you are going to Marysville and want a way nicer than standard cookie cutter hotel experience, this is the place. Note: Don't mix it up with the Arlington Motel, and you might find old reviews under Wyndam Gardens. Ignore those. But don't tell everybody - you will want a room available if you decide on a last minute night out at the Casino. BTW the restaurant is not open, and probably won't be, which is fine. It is hard to keep a restaurant going, but you may see old reviews that talk about it. It helps keep the rooms affordable.

Their new status as a private company has led the former Wyndham gardens to scale back on some of its amenities (restaurant & lounge), but this is not an issue in an area where restaurants and retail are plentiful. Even the soap is good here....that never happens!!! I am blown away by the value and enjoyment of our stay at Hotel Arlington. Bring your own hair dryer

My broccolini was undercooked, the halibut was overcooked, and the rice that accompanied the dish was bland. Everything needed salt. My wife's salmon was pretty rare in the middle....like sushi rare, not medium rare as stated. For the price, there are about 20 other places I would rather go. Last night was the first time my husband and I have been in over 6 years so we figured we would go in with low expectations and give it another shot. Sadly, it met our low expectations. I will give it one star for the service (which has always been great!) and another star for the food which was ok at best. I would give it another half a star if I could because you are able to make reservations which at the busy Tulalip resort, is a huge perk. They give you a basic basket of rolls to start. They are the same rolls they offer you at Cedars Cafe at Tulalip. In the past it used to be these awesome artisan crackers and butter so its sad they don't do something fancy like that anymore.I ordered the salmon caesar and the portion was soooo small... for $48. Like 6 stalks of romaine and a tiny piece of salmon. My husband had a steak which was cooked nicely but flavor wise, it was nothing special. His plate had the saddest looking vegetables accompanying it. Which for the price, felt unacceptable. We tried a couple of the desserts and they were good and felt upscale, which matched the price and the vibe of the restaurant. Bottom line... don't waste your money here. Everything is so overpriced and the quality does not match the price tag at all. Cedars Cafe at Tulalip has WAY better food for half the cost.
