This place has about everything you need to clean and maintain the vehicle. The person working inside is knowledgeable about the product line and the store is well stocked for the most part. I started coming here several months back when I was actually playing a game on my phone and a local ad for this place came through it. The ad caught my attention and after looking it up I swung by to check it out. My first stop here I bought some foam soap (Mr Pink) which was surprisingly cheaper than you find online. Each time I've come in here I've talked with the same guy I'm assuming owns the place (I'll catch his name next time) and based on his recommendations what I was looking for not only was correct but actually exceeded my expectations of the results I was looking for. My cars look better than new and I've noticed the look last longer than your typical stuff. Details matter and every product you need for detailing your vehicles is right here locally. I walked in a met the store clerk and he was helpful and knowledgeable about car detailing. I needed a wax and sealant that could withstand heat and the weather of BAKO. I went home after spending a cool amount for tons of products and priceless tips and applied everything connor suggested & WOW!!! The Shine my grandmas car had was ridiculous. Went to the hot rod show at the fairgrounds this weekend. Stopped by the booth. Two people working it. The female completely ignored me even though she stood right in front of me across the table. The guy got done helping his customer, looked at me and walked away. Didn't offer help. Didn't ask if I had questions. Left me standing there like I was begging for there help. I told him I had a question and he was really short with me. It's possible they have great product but I will never know. I couldn't get past the rude and unapproachable employees. And the thing is I followed them on Facebook and really needed a metal polish for my bumpers. But they can keep their precious product, I'll just hit Amazon. read more

I'm a detailing professional visiting Bakersfield and wanted to basically mirror the range of detailing supplies and products I have at home to keep here to use for friends' and family vehicles. Chemical Guys and Detail Garage is familiar to me since there's one back at home. Despite finding most of the bulk Chem Guys products that I wanted in stock, I felt uncomfortable and couldn't stay for more than a minute. I was disappointed to see signs posted at the front of the store that essentially encourage customers to not wear their face coverings, citing discrimination against persons with disabilities or medical conditions ("These laws are on the books and written to preserve privacy and freedom in a free society."). If they had not posted anything at all, I would have been none the wiser, and I would have felt pretty good about buying all the supplies I needed from one familiar place. However, the owner(s)/manager(s) choose to get political about face coverings and proactively inform their customers of a way to avoid wearing a mask in the midst of a pandemic for the sake of a legal argument for personal freedoms rather than come from a place of consideration towards others who might not feel comfortable around those who (whether or not they have a legitimate reason to) choose not to wear masks in publicly-occupied places. I can't support that kind of ideology or attitude. And Brother, if you feel like wearing a mask is infringing upon your freedoms, may I remind you that we've got other issues worth putting in this effort for being in California? read more
