Stopped into this O'Reilly location and was genuinely shocked by the attitude of the man working the register. I worked in retail management for years, and I understand bad days happen... but there's no excuse for flat-out rudeness toward customers. We asked about two parts and were treated like we were an inconvenience just for speaking. No greeting, no effort, just hostility. I called afterward to ask who was working and believe his name is Jeffrey (mid 20s, overweight, working at 5pm on July 12) . If that's accurate, he might want to reconsider his approach to customer service... or at least pretend to care that customers are what provide him job security. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, and I'd recommend others do the same until this location remembers what customer service actually means. read more

Let me tell you about O'Reilly's Auto Parts (Gosford Rd location only) O - O - O - O'Reilly's Auto Parts! Now, let's talk about the Ambiance I arrived to the Gosford store in search of a headlight. Unfortunately when you have a car over five years old, things start to go out. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by one of the staff and waved up to the counter. The store was clean and well stocked! Now let's talk about The Service! The staff was very knowledgeable and informed me that I needed to replace the low beam light bulb. This was all fancy talk to me, since I was unaware there were more than one type of bulb in the headlights. I was given a choice to select from the single pack or the twin pack as well as which brand I preferred. I appreciated having a choice and not being sold the highest priced item for the sake of the sale. Before I made my decision, It was recommended to get the twin pack because more than likely the other bulk would go out too. I hadn't thought of that so I purchased the twin pack. This was a wise choice, being prepared and not having risk having the other light go out when the store was closed, like the light did. Now let's talk about The Product! When I returned home, I opened the bulbs to find very nice packaging and a nice quality light bulb. The bulbs came with a firm coating at the base of light, where it inserts into the port. So I'll leave you with this, The light bulb was great! No "Fix It Tickets" here! The store is clean and well stocked! The service was knowledge based and informative. The staff is friendly and treat you like family! If you want quality parts with great service then I recommend the Gosford Store! My Review is 2 Thumbs Up! read more

Bad customer service. Skipped several times when I was ready to pay and when I brought it up, I was told I could leave. Will not return.

I called and asked a simple question. I received a very long and complicated answer. I needed to clarify something that was said during that long response and this guy say, "I thought I was pretty clear, I'm not going to repeat all that". This person sounds lazy and he didn't want to work anyway. I don't recommend you go here. I went to autozone instead and the employees there were extremely friendly and professional. As if going to the auto parts store is fun since it usually means something is wrong with your car at least this place has helpful employees. I fall under the group of women that know enough about cars to not get taken advantage of but other than changing a tire or air filters I don't know how to do much myself. They helped my change my wiper blades on my new car when I didn't know how and actually showed me so I would know how to do it next time. They checked our battery and set us up with a new one with no problems. I went in the other day asking for a product that would help me lift up an oil stain made by my neighbor on my driveway and they gave me a good product to help the stain as much as you can possibly do for that an even recommended the more affordable option. My AC is down in my car so I was told I needed to try a AC Refrigerate Canister, so I went to get one. Over 50$ to get it, so I was hesitant to buy it but Jerry (the guy who helped me) said I could return it if it doesn't work. It didn't work so the next day I went to return it and Albert said he couldn't take it because I used the nozzle. As I tried to explain that Jerry said I could return it if it didn't work and I'd like to talk to him, but he cut me off and said, "well do you see him here? Cause if not then I can't help you. How am I even supposed to resell it? It's used!" So I asked to speak to the manager and he just said he's not here. So I asked for the number and he said it's on the door, you can get it on the way out. So aside from Albert being rude, there soho up Dnt be a miscommunication. One of the employees said if it doesn't work then I can return it, so how am I going to know if it works if I don't try? Two men were working and it was less than an hour from closing but they were polite, helpful, and, though I'm sure I said some pretty ignorant things (I don't know the names of parts or tools) they never made me feel like a fool. They answered every question, walked me through the store to find what I needed, and honored a warranty without any trouble. I've been to this particular O'Reilly location several times and the customer service is really mixed and all depends on who you get. Some of the employees here seem highly knowledgeable and some not so much. But then you get those who are willing to help and those who just make you feel like you are bothering them. My most recent visit were to purchase wiper blades for my wife's car since the season is now changing. I entered and went directly to the aisle where the wipers and I begin to use the computer to find what type of blades I need. But while trying to do so I am approached by an employee who asked what kind of car do I have. My first thought is, "Wow this guy must know this by heart", guess again. He went to use the computer I was trying to use. Now while I understand he is probably trying to help, it completely made me feel like he thought I couldn't do the same. I am not offended by his gesture but I thought that was a bad approach with customer service. He should have asked if I was good with using the computer or would I like help with it, to me that would've been a bit more polite. That won't stop me from coming here again because I am not easily offended but other could be. I'm not an avid fix it yourself when it comes to cars but when I do need something I will be back. Worst service ever! I purchased a new ac compressor with all the additional parts needed. I spent over $300+. After a year the thing gave out. But no problem because I have a 2yr warranty. Not. I came in to get my money back exchange the compressor and now these ppl are telling me it's not the correct part. That possibly I swapped it. Why on earth would I swapped the thing out if it's broken to begin with and I have a warranty??? These people obviously don't care for customer service. This review is for Artem at the New Braunfels Texas O'Reillys store. Artem worked with us personally to get my daughters truck on the road. It took over two hours of trying different parts to find a solution to a difficult problem with an old vehicle. He offered to stay after hours with us if needed as well!! This young man was the most patient and helpful employee I have ever dealt with. As a business owner this is the quality of person I look for in a management position. I recently needed my rotors turned. I had previously visited 2 other locations to do the work but one locations machine didn't work. The other location said there manager had already left for the day. So the following day I go into this location, after calling to verify there was someone there that could do it, they pull out my rotors and the manager tells me that newer Toyota model rotors can not be turned and that I will have to buy new ones. But the pervious day another location had measured them and said that they could be turned. So I asked him the price of rotors, he told me cheapest was $48.99. I told him that I found a place cheaper and could they do a price match, which they do offer, of $33.99 and they told me no they couldn't give them to me at that price. None the less I took my business elsewhere. What this manager told me was not true. Newer Toyota model rotors CAN be turned and O'reilly's DOES price match. I felt like I was being taken advantage of and I suggest you go into this store knowing what your talking about so you don't ended up paying for what you don't need. read more
