A few years ago, I stubbornly thought I could handle car seat stains on my own by renting one of those steam vacuums from Home Depot. Lo and behold, this only worsened things and I've sat with my regret for too long. I got so tired of looking at my stained car seats that I bit the bullet, and am lucky that I found Details R Us so quickly. I went with an interior shampooing and defogging my lights since those weren't looking to hot either. Altogether this took about 1.5 - 2 hours. There's a plaza that's about ~5 minutes away with a Starbucks, so I Ubered there and got some work done in the meantime. I spent a while looking for a car detailing place, as I'm from out of town and had a regular place and I think this is my new spot. Richie was super responsive on Yelp, which was great. I didn't even realize drive up service was available until he asked where the location was lol. I ended up dropping off my car due to not having space to get it cleaned at my apt. I got only interior detailing and seat cleaning done, and it was as if I was in a brand new car. Every crevice was cleaned out, and I didn't even realize or how much dog hair I had inside until he let me know he'd have to clean it out and asked me beforehand if that was ok (as there is an extra charge). My dog's hair is very stubborn (it's from years ago) and I had given up but now my carpeting looks brand new. My husband has had this car since before we started dating over 10 years ago and we've never had it cleaned like this. I've never seen the car as clean as it is now in the past 10 years. I reached out to several detailing businesses to get quotes for sanitizing our car after we discovered some rodent activity under the hood. If you know me, a five-star review is generally out of the question--everything must be exceptional. Rich is absolutely amazing on every level from his communication to his thorough and dedicated work. I brought my small car to his house where he worked on it for more than 2.5 hours. He let me know that the interior cleaning was more difficult because of pet hair and sand and that it would take longer than he had expected. After a long time without a proper car wash, I decided to get a complete auto detailing. I messaged some detailers on Yelp, and Rich from Details R Us got back to me quickly. I went for the deluxe C package with engine cleaning and a variety of other services. Having used the drive-through car wash at the Chevron on Imperial Way for years, my windows accumulated water spots due to the (ironic) clear coat it applies. Taking it to a full-service wash didn't help, as they were unable to remove the spots. Also, I had recently scraped my car on a support beam in my garage and was hoping he could mitigate the scratch with a good hand waxing. I made an appointment with Rich and took my car in. He's within walking distance of my home but offered to give me a ride. Since it was a nice day, I walked home and walked back. When I got back, I was amazed at how awesome my car looked! It's like a brand new car. He couldn't get the scratch out, which is impossible. It's a fairly deep scratch. But it's MUCH less noticeable than before. Given that it would cost thousands of dollars to eliminate the scratch, I can live with it. The engine looks fantastic too! It was so clean, one could eat dinner off it. I'm bringing my car to Rich for detailing from now on. I took it in about six months ago, and it still looks impressive. I get the most basic car wash at Chevron to keep it looking good. My advice -- if you're getting car washes in between detailing, don't go for the washes that use clear coat, waxes, or whatever. These substances will leave water spots on your windows, which are almost impossible to remove. Rich was able to do this, running out of acid in the process. He got my windows crystal clean, which is both a safety and aesthetic issue. I can't say enough about the great job Rich did on my car. See for yourself! It's like brand new. The interior looks amazing too. Months later, it still looks nice. I'm going to bring my car in again in a month or so for the A package, which is less expensive as it doesn't come with the engine cleaning and other services. I was looking for a place that would be able to detail my girlfriend's car as she wanted it cleaned for her birthday. After contacting a bunch of places on Yelp, Richie had the most reasonable price and great reviews. Ended up scheduling an appointment with him in advance and decided on Package B: Foam bath, clay bar, vacuum, polish exterior (removing up to 50% of scratches), interior wipe down, interior dressing, and tire shine. The whole process took around 4 hours as we dropped off the car at 10AM and picked it back up around 2PM. Richie did an excellent job as the entire car felt almost brand new. The polish really fixed a lot of the minor scratches on the car, the interior was spotless, and the exterior had a nice shine that hasn't been on the car in years.
