Definitely not recommended…read more When I was looking for a house 2 years ago - I just dialed an agent from a listing (to get started - when you are looking at hundreds) and it happened to be a Drake Team rep. My first clue this was going to be a short honeymoon should have been when the agent in so many words outlined she wanted me to search for the property's I wanted to look at - send it to her - and then she would arrange for access to the home. Maybe that plan worked when the going was good back in the 90's / early 2000's in oversaturated markets - but an agent to think they can get paid for not doing the main part of their job is truly bogus. The Drake team obviously employs weekend real estate agents who get their license simply to make some side money on the cheap. Moving on - we entertained the help of this agent for a couple weeks - being we had an eagerness to find a home we decided to lunge into looking at what was out there and stay on top of the house search. This was my first home buying experience (late 20's at the time) and I certainly was no "in the know" on everything with real estate. That knowledge was compounded by the market crash and the change in landscape on home buying with so many short sales and foreclosures. Long story short - the Drake Team agent kept prompting us to look at short sales. Ignoring the fact that a process to buy a short sale can be lengthy and we were on a timeline to make a purchase due to moving needs, renting on current property etc. We just didn't have 6-12 months to monkey around. The more laughable component was when looking at some of the short sale homes (before we knew better as buyers) - the Drake agent continued to feed us a line that we could under bid the asking on a short (in once example by 30,000-40,000) and would still have high odds at landing the property. After being aloof for a small period - I contacted a someone I knew in real estate (not from the area) and also a family member in banking to get the scoop on as much as possible on what we should expect. It ultimately lead us away from the logic of looking at short sales and ultimately dealing with this Drake agent (due to her ignorance to helping us as buyers). We then moved to an agent with the Surovell Realtors. The agent we awesome (she has since move on to Charles Reinhart) - and one of the first things she did was tell us to stay away from short sales based on the components of our search. Further - she constantly sent us homes and updates from the market and would personally set up viewings to get the max out of our time. Ultimately we found a home within a month of leaving the Drake team and bought hour place (great home) by December. If you ever wonder why you see Drake Team signs on property for years at a time - it's because they don't do anything productive for the home sale or buying experience. STAY AWAY!!!!!

I said I just wondered how much this home one river St was going for. I told him I was working with someone ( a fib) because I wanted to get the price to see if I could afford it. My fiancée and I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience with Avenue Group Real Estate…read morehas been so consistently disappointing that we feel obligated to share it. Based entirely on our personal experience, we strongly recommend that others think twice before doing business with this company. Throughout our experience, we repeatedly felt that our concerns were not taken seriously and that we were not treated with the fairness, professionalism, transparency, or respect that customers should reasonably expect. On multiple occasions, we felt that the company prioritized its own interests rather than finding reasonable solutions for its customers. One of our biggest concerns was the way unexpected charges and fees were handled. We felt that charges were not always made sufficiently clear upfront and that additional costs could seemingly appear after the fact. From our perspective, it often felt like we had to constantly watch for sneaky or unexpected charges and question what exactly we were being billed for. That experience left us feeling taken advantage of and extremely distrustful of the company. In one particularly frustrating situation, we were charged more than $200 for a plumber to investigate an unpleasant smell in our water that we believed could have been caused by a dead animal. The plumber ultimately did not find anything. Being left with a significant bill despite the issue not being resolved was incredibly frustrating and reinforced our concerns about how maintenance calls and associated charges are handled. We gave Avenue Group Real Estate numerous opportunities to address our concerns appropriately. We were patient, communicated our issues, and gave them the benefit of the doubt more than once. Unfortunately, our experience continued to be negative. At this point, we genuinely regret choosing to do business with Avenue Group Real Estate. Our experience left us feeling as though we constantly had to protect ourselves from unexpected charges and carefully scrutinize everything we were being billed for. Whether intentional or not, that is an unacceptable way for a customer to feel when dealing with a professional property management company. We strongly encourage anyone considering this company to do extensive research, read both positive and negative reviews, ask detailed questions about every possible fee, get things in writing, and carefully review your lease and invoices before agreeing to anything. We are sharing this review because we wish we had been more cautious ourselves. Our experience was overwhelmingly negative, and we would never choose this company again. Based on what we personally experienced, we would recommend doing business elsewhere. As for AG Management, we wouldn't touch them with a ten-foot pole. If you do decide to work with them, keep a close eye on your charges, ask questions about anything that doesn't look right, and make sure you understand exactly what you're being billed for. This review reflects our personal experience and opinions based on our dealings with the company, and we hope it helps others make a more informed decision.

I've left a review previously but the OWNER of the company asked me to take it down and promised to fix the issue. As if not releasing my tenants' rent money to me isn't enough, my tenant has tried to reach out multiple times and cannot get a response. My tenant has now been contacting me and I still don't receive payments on time. This company and its owner are completely incompetent. I can't wait to terminate this contract!!

My experience with Jeff Peterson as a buyer's inspector was, in my opinion, an absolute nightmare…read more I have never dealt with an inspector who was this wrong, this careless, or this reckless in the claims he made. Jeff confidently stated that the home had "sagging hardwood floors" and multiple "structural concerns." These weren't small comments -- they were dramatic claims that would scare any buyer. The problem? None of it was real. Not one thing he said held up under actual expert review. Because his statements were so extreme, I hired both a licensed structural engineer and a foundation specialist to verify the issues. They independently confirmed that there were ZERO structural problems, ZERO sagging floors, and absolutely nothing resembling what Jeff described. His claims were not just slightly off -- they were completely fabricated in my experience. The amount of unnecessary chaos, stress, and wasted time this caused cannot be overstated. His report felt alarmist, uninformed, and wildly irresponsible. I genuinely cannot understand how someone in this profession can be so dramatically inaccurate. In my opinion, Jeff Peterson is not a reliable inspector and showed a stunning lack of professionalism or competence. Based on my experience, I would strongly warn anyone against hiring him. There are plenty of inspectors who actually know what they're doing -- in my experience, Jeff was not one of them.
