French Fries: 2/5 They looked great. Dark fried whole potato fries. The looks were the best part. They were just...cooked potatoes. And pricey for the quality. Chili Cheddar Coney: 2/5 The link itself was great, perfect snap of the skin with a meaty texture. I added onions which helped to cover the poor quality chili. It would've been better with cheese but somehow my chili cheese coney was delivered sans lactose. The bun was stale, although the chili did make it soggy on half of it to overpower the hard part. Double Cheeseburger, MKPOL (American style): 3/5 I like to see how good a straight burger is at a burger joint. Theirs is a decent offering. The patties are both seasoned and smashed well, but without a scale I highly doubt they are 2 oz patties. The bun was good but could take a toasting. As a burger I'd say it's sitting just above average. And it costs just about average for a standard burger. I ordered through DoorDash and ordered a drink, but nowhere could I choose what drink I wanted, and when I tried to add a comment it said the restaurant has disabled comments and requests in the system. We had the pleasure of Detroit Coney Cruiser come to our apartment complex in the beginning of the week. It's pretty nice when we get food trucks in the area bc it's rare. We totally took advantage again bc we'll nothing like supporting the local business in the valley. I got the gyro it's extra feta holy moly so yummy everything tasted very fresh and tasty. My husband got the coney chili dog. He said it was good. I would love for them to come back And ordering was so easy thanks to the food truck finder app. read more

This is a great food truck. The food was fresh and seriously delicious. I order a chicken pita with thier house made honey mustard. My only complaint is that the cheese they added to the pita killed the mustard I was to experience. Just a suggestion when ordering leave the cheese off. read more

They were in the neighborhood a few days ago and we decided to give them a try. The menu is pretty straightforward they have coney dogs obvi, some pita options and 4 kinds of fries including chili cheese and Buffalo which are quite popular. We grabbed the crispy honey and Buffalo chicken pita with a side of shoestring fries. Combos are priced at $12 each the pitas had a generous filing of cheese, lettuce and tomatoes I would have preferred mine with some extra sauce. As a fellow Michigander, I know how hard it is to find truly authentic Detroit grub. Gyros are becoming a little more popular lately, but the holy Grail -- the Detroit Coney -- is tough to find in the valley. When you do find it, you have to hope it's comparable to Leo's or National. Great news! These guys know what they're doing. Super friendly, super quick, and super delicious. Coke or Pepsi? Pffft. Vernors and Faygo all day, baby. It is always appreciated and is a good sign when a company promptly responds to customer concerns. ............................................. Not a great experience. Here's why: I got the Detroit Combo for $13 (though the menu says $12. Weird.) The dog - the chili sauce was warm but the actual dog was lukewarm at best (I'm being nice. It was maybe room temp.) The fries - too salty The burger - decent. 3 stars by itself. The chili sauce was also decent, the buns were dry. The worst part? The hair that I found in my chili sauce after I already finished eating. Gross. The guy giving out the food was very beardy. I don't mind beards - I would just prefer not to eat them. read more

I want to preface this review by first stating that Detroit Coney Cruiser is in no way affiliated with Detroit Coney Grill. Also, the word "Detroit" as it pertains to the Coney dogs and chili on the menu is misleading. Now on to the review. When I first saw the Detroit Coney Cruiser I got really excited, (I grew up in Detroit) so I was really looking forward to trying some food from my hometown. I ordered the Coney combo that came with 2 "Detroit" Coney dogs and fries. Now being from Detroit I have had many many Detroit Coney dogs in my day, (my favorite being Lafayette) and this was not a Detroit Coney dog. Yes, this is a hot dog with chili, mustard and onions but if you've eaten the real deal then you know this isn't it. These are more of "Flint" style Coney dogs which are much different in taste with the Koegel dogs, Koegel chili and chopped onions. The taste was all "Flint" style Coney dog and not the "Detroit" style that I was led to believe I was getting. Not a bad thing as Koegel makes a great dog, I just was hoping for something else. They also have some Detroit favorites such as Vernors and Faygo on hand as well as some Greek gyros. If you are out and looking for some gyros or a "Flint" style Coney dog give them a try. As for the "Detroit" in Coney Cruiser maybe "Michigan Coney Cruiser" would be a much better representation. read more

My family and I ate here at the pioneer park festival. The wait was ridiculous. Not because the line was long but because who ever was taking the orders seemed to be in no rush at all. There was 5people ahead of us and it took 27minutes to order. The food came out pretty fast so that was nice. We got hot dogs and they were literally the worst hot dogs I've ever had in my life. Every Thursday a different lunch truck comes to our corporate center. This time was Detroit Coney Cruiser. Saw their menu and I could go for 2 hot dogs. First it shouldn't take over 20 minutes to make two hot dogs. Four people who ordered after me were given their food before me. I complained and my food came out quick. Probably a bad idea. Not sure after 20 minutes how my two hot dogs came out barely at room temperature and undercooked. Secondly I have never seen a hot dog so pasty white looking. Not sure why they were this color. I don't know maybe Detroit eats white hot dogs? Third I asked for cheddar cheese. I expected melted cheese. Not sprinkled on taco cheese. Lastly I took two bites and threw away the other one and a half hot dogs. What a waste of money. I should have thrown my $11 out my office window.
