Not the best wings, quality was terrible.
    Mari S.

In all honesty, I am quite picky with my pizza, as I have had all types, in different cities and still compare them to my childhood pizzeria. Nothing, so far, will compare. With that said, I was unimpressed for the money I spent but specifically on the wings, when I was told they were the best. Worst wings, in my opinion, I've had. The customer service, in general, however, was outstanding.

Food, service, ambiance all good. Square pizza slices, nice toasty cheese edged, interesting tomato sauce on top. Yummy pizza. Eating outside no indoor tables. Have a nice day!

Detroit Pizza had a pre/opening a few weeks ago and we have already tried them twice. Their official opening is tomorrow. Mind you, this is a take out location only. There are no places inside to sit and eat. Service is friendly and very helpful. If you're from the east coast, their Detroit original will remind you of a New York Sicilian pizza. We found it to be great.

Let's be honest... There is lots of great pizza out there, there's also plenty of not so great pizza out there. You can find skimpy pizza, stacked pizza, califrnia pizza, pizza from the great state of Chicago, dollar slices in Manhattan, thin pizza, pizza with goat cheese and duck sausage, round pizza and now square. The Hot new trend is Detroit pizza, at least here in California it's a hot new trend. Crisp airy and packed with flavor, a sauce so thick and savory you want a cup and a spoon of the stuff, and the cheese well let's just say cheese in all the right places. Especially the corners. Joe's Detroit pizza was possibly one of the best things I have eaten this year, it's massively cravable, the shop is in excellent order counter service was terrific. Although Joe is suspiciously thin for being open a few weeks already he gets a pass and is perched high atop the best pizza makers in the country. Don't wait, don't be weird about its shape and style, it's just pizza, but it's pizza at its best.

My husband had been excited ever since he heard Detroit pizza was opening. He would drive by just to see if they were open yet! When I finally told him they were officially open, he was ecstatic. We decided to give it a try, and it did not disappoint. To save time, we called in our order. The staff was very kind over the phone and answered all of our questions without hesitation. When we arrived for pickup, we were greeted right away. We did have to wait about 15 extra minutes, but it was completely understandable since they were busy and several others were waiting as well. Despite that, the staff stayed attentive and worked as quickly as possible to get everyone taken care of. I believe the owners were there, and they were extremely kind making a point to acknowledge each customer and personally thank them when their order was ready. For a new restaurant still getting established, they handled everything really well. Our pizza, breadsticks, and salad were fresh and delicious. I especially appreciated that they acknowledged and thanked us for waiting it really makes a difference. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend giving them a try!

Pizza was good I can't say anything amazing as others say but that's my opinion. I'm not too far from the restaurant and wasn't busy when I ordered and picked up. Pizza cooled down some once I got home. Still think they should have info on yelp to contact. Not everyone has social media which gives you a link to order but no phone number to call in order or ask questions. I had to google for that. So if you want to order go on their social media accounts for the link or google the phone number. They are only doing carry out no delivery yet. Place was clean and you get a status of your pizza so I left to pick up when it was in the kitchen and by the time I parked it was ready. For a Wednesday 30 mins I would say which is good. I'd get again but no rush Menu for reference

Never had Detroit pizza before and this was a great introduction! The employee at the register was really sweet and friendly as well. There's no seating inside but I would definitely revisit for takeout.

Excellent pizza. The best i have had in a long time. Fresh and flavorful. The best part is the crusty cheese edges. IYKYK I will definitely use this place before any other pizza place. Great job Detroit Pizza Co!

Our family loves Detroit Pizza in Murrieta. It's a wonderful business, food is top class and very flavorful. Staff are always super friendly and orders are easy to place either in person or on the app! Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

I recently ordered from Detroit Pizza Co and honestly, it exceeded expectations across the board. The pizzas were packed with flavor and clearly made with quality ingredients. The Veggie Overdrive was fresh and perfectly balanced, while the Buffalo Blaze had just the right kick without overpowering the rest of the flavors. What really stood out was the crust- crispy on the outside, soft and airy inside, exactly what you want from a Detroit-style pizza. Even the custom build-your-own pizza turned out amazing, with generous toppings and great texture in every bite. Everything was prepared well, the order was accurate, and the food held up great for takeout. You can tell they care about consistency and quality. Definitely a go-to spot if you're craving something hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. Francia service was amazing and she went above and beyond and I love there text system to inform you about the order being ready. Love the space and the open kitchen and the cleanness.

    "10x14" (really a 9x13)
    Hillary C.

Ordered a "10x14" when it's actually a 9x13, in a 10x14 box. It tastes just like any other pan style pizza, except greasier/oilier. Extremely overpriced ($30) and underwhelming. Will not order again.

    Proof positive!

Wow! If you've never had authentic Detroit style pizza - this is about as close as you're going to get! I grew up in Detroit where Gus Guerra started Buddy's Pizza in 1946, and Detroit style pizza was born! They use real Wisconsin Brick Cheese and cupping pepperoni. The sauce is spot-on. The dough - don't get me started - it took me right back to the Motor City. They even get the importance of the corner pieces - when you order the Octo you get 8 corner pieces. Bless You Boys!

New pizza spot in Murrieta just dropped and wow, I'm still thinking about the pizza!!! We grabbed two Detroit-style deep dish rectangles (Buffalo Blaze and Veggie Overdrive), and that buttery crust was straight-up dangerous. Like, "accidentally eat half the box" dangerous!!! Everything was delish, family-approved, no crumbs left behind... except in my wallet. My only gripe is the price. $60 for 2 10x14 pizzas is a bit pricey.

Ask the Community - Detroit Pizza Co.

Are they using Brick cheese? Menu says "Premium Wisconsin Cheese" but that could be Wisconsin mozzarella, would like clarification on the exact variety of cheese used.

Hello Raymond, Thank you for reaching out and for the great question! We actually use a blend of cheeses—specifically a mix of Wisconsin brick cheese and mozzarella. This…

I've worked in hospitality (hotels, restaurants and fine dining) throughout most of my adult life…read more I'd have LOVED this restaurant it were it not for their inept and abusive management. "Brynn" (the manager of Rusico) made the cowardly decision to allow a random kid to SKATE through the dining room, bar area and restroom all evening long. A scalded child and/or a bashed into patron with a broken hip just waiting to happen. By the time Brynn appeared at my table she was defensive and argumentative. Brynn hovered imperiously over my small table -- all the better to talk down to me in superior tones. In an argumentative display of poor hygiene, the woman stooped down just a few inches above my dinner plate and glass of wine as she scolded me for having dared to voice any complaint to my waitress. In the process, Brynn sprayed my plate and drink with her own spittle as she lectured me. Hoping to calm this enraged woman and to protect the cleanliness of my meal and drink I invited Brynn to briefly take a seat at my table as we spoke. Brynn cast and manipulatively ugly response to my offer of a seat at the table as well spoke saying, "I'm NOT here to CHITCHAT WITH YOU!! I HAVE A RESTAURANT TO RUN!!" She then strutted off--- to do nothing about the kid still skating through the aisles of the dining room, bar and bathroom. I watched in horror as an elderly couple narrowly averted collisions at the whim of the reckless tween. Maybe just as bad, a woman was trailing behind the bored roller skater --- so as soon as we (customers) figured the road is clear from the roller skater and ventured toward the restroom or our car we risked bringing slammed into by the adult lecturing from behind. My gutless waitress, "Sam", informed me that she "would NEVER ask a parent to have their kid remove his skates". She told me "We can't teach parents how to parent their children! That is NOT OUR JOB!!" Oh lord. Sam's for real? I've witnessed terrible scaldings happen to kids permitted to run in restaurants I've worked. Let alone allowed to skate in for hours at a time. No one was asking either the waiter nor their manager to "teach" anyone "how to parent". We were asking them to simply enforce a simple common sense safety code on behalf of every other patron of the restaurant. Frankly, has a waiter spilled something hot or even warm on that roller skating bored young teen no doubt his parents would have been first in line to hire an attorney to the owners and the waiter for damage to their kid. Rather than bothering to correct the parents or the entitled child Sam informed me I should be the one to "immediately leave". Unbelievable. Sam then turned my table over to "Jacob" (a young (clearly frightened) new server who was willing to do her ugly bidding. Jacob lacked the common sense to do right on any level. Jacob flatly refused to share the name of either owner as well as the name of their General Manager. I suspect there IS NO General Manager for this otherwise sweet little eatery. My guess is that the owners are unfortunately trusting the poor judgement of Brynn in their absence. Jacob then performed as a dancing monkey for the satisfaction of both Sam and Brynn. He finally walked off with my check and never bothered to return. Sadly for the owners --- sooner or later someone will be grievously damaged by the poor judgement of Brynn and Sam. Their poor management skills are potential personal injury lawsuits ready to happen.
