My husband had been excited ever since he heard Detroit pizza was opening. He would drive by just to see if they were open yet! When I finally told him they were officially open, he was ecstatic. We decided to give it a try, and it did not disappoint. To save time, we called in our order. The staff was very kind over the phone and answered all of our questions without hesitation. When we arrived for pickup, we were greeted right away. We did have to wait about 15 extra minutes, but it was completely understandable since they were busy and several others were waiting as well. Despite that, the staff stayed attentive and worked as quickly as possible to get everyone taken care of. I believe the owners were there, and they were extremely kind making a point to acknowledge each customer and personally thank them when their order was ready. For a new restaurant still getting established, they handled everything really well. Our pizza, breadsticks, and salad were fresh and delicious. I especially appreciated that they acknowledged and thanked us for waiting it really makes a difference. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend giving them a try! read more

Pizza was good I can't say anything amazing as others say but that's my opinion. I'm not too far from the restaurant and wasn't busy when I ordered and picked up. Pizza cooled down some once I got home. Still think they should have info on yelp to contact. Not everyone has social media which gives you a link to order but no phone number to call in order or ask questions. I had to google for that. So if you want to order go on their social media accounts for the link or google the phone number. They are only doing carry out no delivery yet. Place was clean and you get a status of your pizza so I left to pick up when it was in the kitchen and by the time I parked it was ready. For a Wednesday 30 mins I would say which is good. Wow! If you've never had authentic Detroit style pizza - this is about as close as you're going to get! I grew up in Detroit where Gus Guerra started Buddy's Pizza in 1946, and Detroit style pizza was born! They use real Wisconsin Brick Cheese and cupping pepperoni. The sauce is spot-on. The food for starters needs massive improvement. I was there on their "GRAND OPENING" and I ordered a single cheese slice and what I got should've been called a slice of sauce pizza on cardboard. There was a lady struggling with a walker to come in and out, and not one employee offered to hold the door open for her, instead they stood there by the register watching her struggle to get out of the store. IF THIS PLACE WAS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE, THEN THE LADY WITH THE WALKER SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD A HARD TIME TRYING TO LEAVE THE STORE!!. That definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. The service was ok, nothing to write home to mom about. Seems like the younger staff were more interested in interacting with their school friends that came in, than taking care of their customers. Yeah, the first day they're all smiles, but days later, weeks later they don't even acknowledge that you're even in the vicinity of their store. Is it too hard to say hello? They had no idea whether I was going to go in there or not, so not even a hello not a SMILE not holding the door open for me....HELLLLO??? CUSTOMER SERVICE needs tuning up maybe these kids don't realize that if it wasn't for the customer, they wouldn't have a paycheck Prices are totally insanely expensive!! If you want to try a DELICIOUS pizza, Costco Food Court has the best pizza in town. The prices are reasonable AND their portions are generous and they are quick AND they have ample seating!!!
