We ordered their pepperoni and mushroom pizza, garlic bread, and chicken Alfredo pasta and a 2ltr soda. I ordered on their app and was able to track my order from start to finish. The restaurant is in a little strip mall, next door to an event center, gym, and church. The restaurant was quaint and had some tables and chairs to dine in. When our order was ready, packed and ready to go. Their pizza was nice and hot. It had a great cheese pull and good topping to crust ratio. The garlic bread was nice and buttery and came with tangy thick marina sauce. The Alfredo pasta was also very good but didn't think it came with enough chicken. Friends live near by and usually order from them. Ordered for pick up: Caesar salad, medium pepperoni pizza and large meat pizza. Only thing would be the crust got a little smaller on the meat pizza per my friend since they go here more often than me. Spoke to a gentleman named George really nice person very informative. He was explaining the process of watering a deep dish pizza not thinking that it takes an hour for our deep dish pizza to cook and be perfect so we ordered a Detroit deep dish combo and we said we'll be back in an hour. We ran around town saw some place. We've never seen and headed back as soon as we walked in George had said your timing is great. Your pizza is ready not knowing what to expect. My wife and I sat down. Had a couple waters with lemon and just was surprised with the size of the pie. George was kind enough to make us one a little bit bigger than normal saying that it was our first time there we sat down, cut up the pizza I need to tell you guys something. I'm from the Orange County area. I would have to drive to Placencia to order a deep dish pizza, but I'm so glad that my wife and I came here because the service was phenomenal. I have never experienced the kindness in the informative information about a restaurant and it's background well the pie was delicious. I was happy that I got to take some home and warm up the next day if you're ever in a mood for a deep dish pizza come to Papa G's say hi to George for me. Finding out later he was the owner once again my go to place for a deep dish pizza and he have plenty of different varieties but the icing on the cake was a homemade cheesecake. I usually include pictures, but we dig in with no delay, so the pictures are always an afterthought while we sit on the couch with full tummies. My husband has tried the Mexican and the Tex Mex Very Hot pizzas, and he was very pleased. I had a thin crust with traditional toppings, and the crust was crispy, but moist. Their spaghetti, adding meatballs and mushrooms was absolutely delicious, and my husband and I ate on it for 2 days. We love to get pizza from our local "mom and pop" shops. We have always had a great experience with Papa G's until last night. We ordered 3 pizzas and 2 orders of garlic sticks. The pizzas were hardly cut and the taste was terrible. I'm not sure if they changed their recipe but the sauce was way too sweet and it over powered everything else. The garlic sticks were hit and miss some of them were great and some of them were hard and almost inedible. I don't mind paying a premium for pizza and it supports a local business but I think this will be the last time we order from there and take our business elsewhere. There are too many pizza spots to pay what we paid and got what we got. read more
