The Grande Seafood Tower was entirely worth it save for the overcooked cocktail shrimp.

Deux Chats has a wonderfully chill, upscale yet casual vibe with delicious small plate options perfect for a group outing. Dinner on a Monday evening made for a quiet, comfortable experience perfect for fun conversation over dinner. Our server kindly accommodated our group of 5 (a large party for the restaurant's small tables) with a space that could accommodate all of the food we would order. We tried much of the menu between the variety offered in the seafood tower and a few other small plates. Some servings were more generous than others, like the Caesar salad and beef tartar, the latter of which was my favorite dish. The seafood dishes were by far the highlight: the tuna tatake, crab dip, and smoked trout had great flavors. The escargot was also perfectly cooked with great texture. The only dishes that were underwhelming were the deviled eggs (they were fine) and the overcooked shrimp cocktail in the tower. The cocktails covered a range of flavor profiles from sweet to sour, and everyone was pleased with their choices. The Porn Star Martini was so good I got it twice. We stayed for hours just chatting, the vibe of the bar definitely giving cozy French speakeasy. The check came with an adorable art nouveau-esque cat postcard. A near perfect final meal for my time in Brooklyn.

Beautiful French ambiance with amazing drinks! Totally approved for a sweet tooth who doesn't drink alcohol and for an alcoholic that does (my gf only drinks mocktails and this one was one of the best mocktails she's had) Out of all the martinis I drank this one really reminds me of my beginning days of drinking martinis. It's like a "starter kit" for people who never really tried martinis before since it's really easy to drink! Their deux chats martini can ease you in to drinking all sorts of other drinks. Sierra the bartender took care of us very well and we will definitely be back for some more drinks!

Great place for intimate drinks with friends or a date night! Lovely ambiance and even better drinks. Didn't have any issues with a walk-in around 8pm on a Tuesday. Will 100% be back!

The loveliest of cocktail bars in BK. The atmosphere is very classic NYC. The martinis are all delicious and the seafood towers are impressive. The espresso martini is one of the best I've ever had! This place tends to fill up so I highly recommend a reservation. The perfect setting for a date night! The ambiance is dark and intimate. My only complaint is sometimes the service is rather slow. And when it is full it is so loud you can barely hear the people you are with.

Tres chic! Was looking for a local spot for after dinner drinks and enjoy a cool vibe and chilled until last call which was about 2am! Great and friendly bartenders!

A place that's beautiful AND has amazing mocktails.. too good to be true but Deux Chats delivers both. I really love the old Parisian decor. When I saw the art nouveau inspired tiles on the wall, I instantly wanted to come here. It has a very intimate feel inside although it's not a small space. I'd recommend bringing your date here! It's not too loud and had lots of drinks to choose from including non alcoholic options. And the oysters were great. The bartender was very helpful with recommendations. And also was good at giving us space to chat without interrupting but still checking on how we were doing. Can't wait to come here again!

Pornstar martini is to die for. Stop for drinks. Food could be better. Oysters were great, crab dip didn't have any flavor at all. We didn't finish it. Loved fries tho. Inside is beautiful, chill, quiet. Our waitress was fun and helpful. Would come back for more martinis to try

Cleanest martini I've had in a while. It's not on the menu but until 6pm the deux chats martini is $13. Great balance of gin and brine, such that people who aren't gin fans would still enjoy this. I'll be back to try the other martinis.

I would have preferred a neighborhood bar called İki kedi, but we'll settle for deux chats, and we'll also chuckle for a second at such a whimsical name for a seafood-focused cocktail bar. And a charming one at that, being as it were one of my preferred venues these days for a cocktail in South Williamsburg. While the cassis julep is pictured since I'm a sucker for kir royales and anything to do with cassis, in fact my favorite drink was the Le Gambier - a peculiarly translucent beverage with an unfamiliar flavor profile ostensibly borne from "clarified pineapple." While a pineapple has never posed a question to me, consider any such outstanding queries satisfied after having a sip of this expertly crafted concoction. As a vegetarian, I'll abstain from commenting on the food offerings.

The space has that unpolished charm that makes you want to stay; sports on the screens, a lively crowd, and a sense that everyone somehow knows each other. It's the kind of place that doesn't try too hard, and that's exactly why it works. What truly makes it special are the people. John and Jeff (the bar owner) are incredible! genuine, welcoming, and effortlessly create that feeling of being taken care of. And then there's the food. The chef is Malaysian, (mama's recipe) and you can taste that depth immediately; rich, layered flavors with a comforting, almost home cooked quality. The ginger wings are addictive, and even a simple dish feels thoughtfully done. Jeff mentioned I need to come back for the laksa, which I will. It's not polished, it's not formal and that's exactly the magic. A true neighborhood gem with soul.

I've been coming here for years, and the quality of the food continues to keep me coming back. During this visit, I ran into a recurring issue with my lobster. It was carrying a large amount of roe, which I was actually happy about because I enjoy it and didn't want any of it to go to waste. However, the roe deep inside wasn't fully cooked during the initial steaming process. I had to go back and forth with Ash and the kitchen staff several times, but they remained patient, attentive, and committed to making sure everything was cooked properly. Ash, one of the managers, provided excellent customer service throughout the experience. While I was waiting, he kindly offered me a complimentary cup of New England clam chowder, which was absolutely delicious and very much appreciated since I was starving. Before leaving, I also ordered two more 2 lb. steamed lobsters to go. I explained my concern, and the staff made sure they were thoroughly cooked before packaging them. Both were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. I truly appreciate the team's dedication to customer satisfaction and their willingness to make things right. Their excellent service, combined with consistently great seafood, is why I've remained a loyal customer for years. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

It's better than it needs to be, which in this neighborhood counts for a lot. The room is the star. Brass, smoked mirrors, marble, wallpaper with burlesque dancers, very Gatsby cosplay but done with actual money. Think the Campbell at Grand Central, minus the $28 martini attitude. It's also LOUD downstairs. Ask for upstairs if you want to hear your date. Gin is the program here and they take it seriously, house-infused bottles paired with specific tonics, not an afterthought. My G&T was legitimately well built. Food from chef JC Colón is better than cocktail-bar standard: truffle fries in duck fat are worth it, the lobster mac at $31 is rich and fine but you've had it before. Skip dessert. The steak frites at $48 is where I'd tap out, that's real-restaurant money for bar food execution. Here's the move though: weekday happy hour, 4 to 7. Dollar oysters and $13 cocktails in a room this pretty is one of the best deals in Midtown, full stop. Service was warm and fast even slammed. Not a destination, but if you're near Bryant Park or seeing a show, this beats everything else within five blocks. Book ahead, walk-ins were getting turned away by 5:30.
