The staff's attitude immediately gave me the impression that customer service was not a priority. When I politely asked for some hair product and to wash my hands, I was met with an attitude that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. The haircut itself was even more disappointing. The barber seemed determined to rush through the appointment, attempting to finish my haircut in about 10 minutes. I had to stop him because I wasn't happy with the result and asked him to fix it. Throughout the entire appointment, he made no effort to engage in even basic conversation. I tried several times to be friendly, ask questions, and make the experience enjoyable, but received almost nothing in return. I paid $70 for a haircut and beard service, and I genuinely feel like I wasted my money. The beard trim, which cost $30, lasted no more than two minutes and looked like almost no work had been done. The entire appointment felt rushed, careless, and completely lacking in attention to detail. I don't mind paying premium prices when the quality, professionalism, and customer experience justify it. Unfortunately, none of those were present here. Instead, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and regretting my decision to give this place a chance. With how difficult the economy is today, customers deserve businesses that appreciate their support and take pride in their work. Based on my experience, this barbershop fell far short of that standard. I cannot recommend this shop to anyone, and I will not be returning. While I take responsibility for not questioning it at the time, I felt pressured to go with that amount since it was presented as the minimum. During my conversation with the barber while he was cutting my hair, he asked where I was from, and I mentioned California. I'm not sure if tipping rates for haircuts are generally higher in Arizona or if this was influenced by me being from out of state I reached out via message here on yelp for clarification but never received a response. Because of this tipping setup and lack of communication, I'm deducting two stars--otherwise, it would have been a perfect five-star experience.
