Everything in the shop was curated to perfection and anyone/ everyone can definitely find something they may like. The owner and their staff seem to really love what they do and want to bring joy to the community. Everything seemed to be priced appropriately, especially since I know they get some of their items imported from Asia/ Japan. There are a couple of chairs out front and so we sat down to wait for her return. It was a good reminder to slow down and not be in a rush all the time. Such a cute shop! Found a fun selection of washi tape, some cool pens, was tempted by a journal or two (I have sooooo many blank ones at home that I had to pass on another one today), and some super cute stickers. It was a bit of a drive for us to get there, but we overall enjoyed the experience and were happy to be supporting a unique local business.

I actually think I was here the last time I was in Scottsdale several years ago but I didn't Yelp it so who can say? Regardless, Mom found some things that she could not leave Arizona without and I picked up some candy for the office and prickly pear honey for my employees. While there Mom tried on some cowboy hats and honestly should have just bought one, but she's never been a hat person. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, from the moment we walked in the door to the checkout process, which is always nice to see--so many souvenir shops have staff that are as likely to stab you as they are to help you. The prices really run the gamut and I suspect some items are priced as loss leaders for others, so just choose wisely and you won't go wrong with your finds at Kactus Jock.

From chocolates to peanuts to unique soft drinks and teas, the straight back middle of the store is the place to shop. Some international brands and flavors make it easy to find something for that person who has everything. Off to the right in the front corner of the store is where you'll find a funny book, canvas bag, or Post-It Notes. To the left front of the store, past the registers, is where you'll see cool kitchen gadgets. That's where we get our little plasticware sets to bring to fairs and festivals and road trips. Back left of the store has loads of alcohol - which we don't drink. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Tempe area and our favorite store of this chain.
