Especially as a mom bringing in my daughter, I really appreciate how comfortable he has made both of us feel from the very beginning. Rooster really listens to what K wants, takes her ideas seriously, and then offers his own suggestions when he thinks something - like adding shading - will make the tattoo even better. I completely trust his judgment, and every tattoo he has done for her has been beautiful. After her most recent one, she literally walked around the house looking at it in every mirror because she loved it so much. He's also incredibly easy to work with and book with, and I genuinely enjoy being there. He definitely has a cool and edgy vibe, but he's also such a warm, genuine person with a great sense of humor. K and I actually talked on the drive home after our last appointment about how lucky we feel that we found Rooster. I trust him, she loves going to him, and I truly can't recommend him enough. I'm disappointed to have to update my review but my recent experience make it necessary. I went…read moreback to Embassy Tattoo for another piercing (a conch) and had no issues. I asked a question about my original cartilage piercing and I was told that the piercer used a barbell that was too short and there was no way for the piercing to swell and heal properly. My earring was changed but I was charged for a new earring, even though they used the wrong one in the first place. A few weeks later I was cleaning the conch piercing and the earring fell out, and because it was a small earring that screwed into the back, it was not easy to put back in myself or with my husband's help. I called Embassy Tattoo to ask if they could put my earring back in for me, and they said they weren't taking jewelry changes that day because they were running a special for only new piercings. When I said it wasn't a new piercing, it was a 3 week old piercing that fell out, they told me it didn't matter and to stop by the next day. I definitely wasn't waiting a day to put a new piercing back into my ear when it was throbbing, swelling, and would definitely close by then. I went to another tattoo shop nearby who, after saying a new piercing should not have been a screw-in earring, changed the earring for one that snapped in. They also took a look at the new piercing and the original cartilage I got at Embassy Tattoo and said both were pierced on an angle which makes it harder to heal (as I've been experiencing over these last few months). While the staff at Embassy Tattoo are great, I don't see myself going back to after this.

Lora is truly the best -- highly recommend. I used to have very low piercings and they looked terrible. I tried getting stacked piercings at Rowan, but the nurse (piercer) didn't really know what they were doing. My ears were poked multiple times, nothing was lined up, and it just looked off. Even though I paid a lot, I ended up taking them out. Then I went to Lora -- she immediately understood what I wanted, walked me through everything, and gave thoughtful recommendations. The result looks SO much better. I honestly wish I had found her earlier. Do not go to places that use piercing guns or devices -- they don't follow your markings properly. Go to Lora.
