Very, very poor customer service. I called three times before I got a response and then it was via email asking me what type of glass, dimension's, etc. I don't know the difference between seamed or polished edge, do you? I should have been called and an apology would have been sufficient. I wouldn't have left a negative review. I then called Highland Park glass who took the measurements and gave me quick call back on two prices, regular glass and vintage glass. He also let me know he was the only one working and couldn't help me until the following day. Now that's fantastic customer service in my book! By far one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. Ruben (who claims to be the owner of the company), came out to install a new glass on our business door and to fix an issue with the door not closing properly. We came to an agreement over the price (there was a trade involved). He replaced the glass, but didn't have the correct moldings with him. I've known him for about a year or so from one of our other businesses, so I didn't think that it would be a problem, so I told him not to worry about it, he can take care of the moldings and the issue with the door not closing after his trip to Mexico. He said he would be back on Tuesday and would take care of that along with the door stopper for me on Wednesday. I asked him a couple of times if for sure he will do it, and he kept saying "Don't worry about it, Ill take care of it, Don't worry about it." Thats all that he would say (keep in mind that I had already paid him in FULL for the services, NEVER do this with this company , MAKE SURE you receive the services in FULL before you pay them anything). Comes Wednesday, he didn't show up or call. I got pre-occupied and didn't get a chance to follow up with him for a week. He didn't come by or call once. After a week, I decided to call him. The lady who picked up the phone (I believe her name was Emily) was very nice and polite. She said Ruben is not in the office but will pass the message to him. 3 Days passed and absolutely no response. I called them again and asked to speak to Ruben, again Emily gave me the same response "hes not in the office now." I told her about the situation and she insisted on sending someone else out to finish the repairs. A few minutes later she calls me back and says that Ruben said that they can take care of the moldings, but the door stopper was not part of the deal and if I wanted to get that done, it would be an additional $275.00. I was furious at this point, not just at the price they quoted even though it was included in the price I already paid, but moreover at the fact that Ruben could take the time to speak to the reception, but couldn't respond to my calls (very disrespectful and a horrible way to run a business). I told her to send someone to just put the moldings back on. She scheduled a technician to come the following day at 1pm. The following day came and of course NO ONE shows up. I wait till 4pm, then call them again. The lady who picked up said that she spoke to Ruben and he said that they cant come out just to take care of the moldings. If I'd like, they will come out and install the door stop and do the moldings then. I was so upset, all I could do was laugh. I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND this company to anyone. This is just not the way I run my businesses and I would never treat a customer like this. They should realize that if you take a customers money and promise to do a job, then you should keep you promise and do it. The only good thing this company has going for them is their receptionists (5 Stars to her). Other then that, I would give this company a negative star if I could. read more

I have to say that those guys delivered ! We were in a time crunch because we have family visiting and we only had 10 days left. Emily was very helpful in educating us with the correct glass finish , color, thick , etc.... Even the owner Ruben came to the house to show us all different glass. We finally picked a low iron glass, 1/2 inch , clear and with starfire coat, it looks amazing, we love it! Both frameless , shower and tub doors for both bathrooms were perfectly installed and it was not a easy job. I am having THE WORST experience here with these people. Yesterday, I had a really simple job of installing a mirror into a door frame in the bathroom. All they had to do was remove the existing mirror and replace it with a new one. Easy right? Or so I thought... At first, they were really accommodating and was able to get me a same-day appointment. Wow, great. 2 guys came in a timely manner. I was more than okay to overlook the fact that they came into my house with big huge work boots and proceeded to step all over my white bathroom mat. I'm Korean and I don't wear shoes in my own house. It's okay, I told him, "let me move the mat so that you can work here..." They removed the mirror just fine and mounted the new one. So far so good. Then, he called me into the bathroom telling me that he was done. Fine, I said, "but wait a minute, the black caulking you applied around the mirror is a mess! It's uneven and smeared all over the place. Can you please clean this up?" To be quite honest, I've never seen a caulking quite so bad. I've applied caulking myself and it was exponentially better than the job they did and I'm not even a professional by any means! They told me, "no problem." I come back and I see them scraping off the grout with razors...I mean the thing is a COMPLETE mess. One guy goes down to his truck to get more supplies, a clear caulking, so that it wouldn't look quite so bad this time around. I let them do their work keeping my hopes up, believing that they would solve this situation. They call me back and they tell me that it's a mess and that they can't clean it up until the following day. They will be back in the morning they say. I agree trying to fight down my feelings of nervousness. They leave and I see what they left behind. There are pieces of grout all over the floor, grout clumped all around the mirror, black smudges on the bathroom walls, and scratches all around my brand-new espresso-colored, custom-made door from the razors they were using. I could see raw wood peeking through in some of the areas! I immediately called the girl and describe the situation. She told me that she would look into it and call me back. Today, she calls me and basically calls me a liar. She says that her worker, one of the best workers that she has, would never do bad work. Apparently he told her that I made him remove the caulking just because I didn't want caulking on the sides...? She also told me that he told her that he had warned me that it would be a mess BEFORE he started removing it which obviously is untrue. Does that make any sense? Why would I even care where the caulking is? All I care is that it looks good, it's clean, and that the mirror stays on! The worker is obviously trying to cover his butt at my expense, and the company is taking his side against reason. Finally, she offers me free labor, if I pay for the mirror. This would be fair in most situations but my custom door is all scratched up, my bathroom walls are still dirty against my efforts, and the mirror is still a mess and looks like crap! I'm still gonna' have to spend more money to fix what they've done! Will they cover that? Will they fix my door? They can have their stupid mirror back if they do. Or they can take a loss on that damn mirror and call it a draw? Is that unreasonable on my part? Calling me a liar again, the girl told me that the owner will give me a call on Tuesday...We will see how this goes. I'm hoping that he is a reasonable man. read more

I came in here right before closing on a Tuesday night and ordered 1 piece of glass 9x12 so it was a tiny order for them of very little importance. I stressed my urgency of having that piece of glass by 8:30 the following day. They informed me that it would be tough because that was right when they opened and the glass cutter would be getting ready for the orders/job from earlier. The very next morning at 8am they called me to let me know they had my piece of glass ready! I was very pleased with the awesome, considerate service. This shop is awesome helpfull and attentive, showed up 10 min before closing time placed a order on a 10"x24" thin mirror. Ruben came to help me with my order was friendly and genuine in his attention since I shared it would be that finishing touch to my mother's 10 day shower remodel. (Done by her 3 son's) He shure knew then and there how important it was to me since she would fly in the next day to this suprise!!! He even told me of a better finish to the mirror. I don't get the bad reviews. This place has been amazing, expedient, kind and patient and their work speaks for itself. Prices are very reasonable. My project is not finished but I got a massive mirror with several cut outs for my bathroom. I had to make several changes in the same order and they accommodated me efficiently and graciously. I received a quote from Devon Glass for a shower enclosure for $1372. The wanted to come out and validate all measurement before starting the job. The sent me a revised quote for $2457 and said that the first quote was a ball park estimate. I did want two notches cut in the glass vs cutting the newly installed marble, but $1085 more, crazy. The other estimates were charging $150 for the notches to be cut out. Needless to say, I went with another company. read more

My glass door was off kilt, the silicon was worn out and the weather seals were completely gone. This work was done by a different company only 6 months ago. These guys came in within 1 day of my call, did an incredible job, informed me of issues they saw and let me know which fixes they thought were going to be effective and which ones weren't going to be an actual problem. This is always a hallmark of a good company. When they let you know everything, but give you the break down of what you should do to maintain your home and what you don't need to do, this shows they aren't after your money but instead want you to be informed. Excellent price, excellent service and extremely courteous workers. I called many glass companies to replace plate glass windows in a mid-century house and all of them were either extremely high priced, or wanted to be paid to come out and measure for an estimate. Devon's gave me an extremely reasonable quote and sent a crew out within 2 days to install. They cut the glass and installed on site. One company wanted $240 just to set moulding around the two windows. Devon's installed with moulding for much less than the cost of the glass for all the others. read more

Never using this place again. A glass got broken at my dads job site. It was my duty to get it replaced ASAP.. I went here and the lady told me it woud be ready with in an hour and she would call me. 1 1/2hr passed and she never called me.I drove to the store and it was CLOSED. I mean closed for the day, not only for lunch. I look through the glass window and the woman is in the office. I called the office from right outside and i could clearly see her not answer. Then she sees me and tries to hide LMAO. She finally answers and opens the door. She told me her workers weren't there to do the job. umm ok? I got a refund and rushed to another shop where they did it cheaper and in 10 mins! dont go here its unreliable and you could probably get a better price somewhere else. read more

The people from Devon glass recently installed a glass shower in our master bathroom. When they brought in all of the materials, they discovered that the top rails were not polished nickel as ordered. Rather than simply going ahead with the installation, they stopped, informed us, tracked down the right rails, went and got them and came back and finished the installation the same day. Needless to say, the shower looks beautiful and we were really impressed with their professionalism. If you are going to use Devon glass for a shower installation, ask for Oscar.
