There's no other way I'd get new doors!! If there's anything I've learned as a homeowner, it's that construction is messy. And from what Ive heard, doors are EXTRA messy- painting, cutting, shaving, adjusting, etc. But not with One Day Doors! This is a fantastic company that allowed me to fulfill a plan of mine ever since I bought this house - getting rid of the cheap tract home hollow-core doors. One Day Doors & Closets replaces just your doors with precisely measured new doors manufactured in a huge factory near Sacramento where they are painted much like the exacting standards of automobile factories. By not removing your door frames they not only save a huge amount of time and cost but also sawdust and damage to the walls. They literally installed 15 doors in my home in three hours total with all new hardware. To start the process, Matt brought in their proprietary device that precisely measures each entire door frame and hinge locations within a couple thousandths of an inch. The resulting doors fit absolutely precisely in my 40 year old home. Once the doors are made, their installation is a snap. Matt, Johann, and Jesse arrived right on time and very politely and efficiently went about their work. They worked quietly and cleaned up the tiny amount of sawdust they generated. They replace all your old painted over hinges, lock plates and door stops. The resulting doors fit perfectly with automotive-level consistent clearances. They swing easily and lock reliably. The overall value I think is very fair - they gave us as much discounting and help I could ask for and came to a reasonable price. I am incredibly impressed with the quality and installation of my doors. We had a long lead time due to custom fitting my 1953 house with weird door sizes, but everything came in perfectly. It was our first time replacing interior doors and One Day made it a very easy process. We went to the showroom in Torrance and saw the different styles of doors, chose the weight and color of the doors we wanted, and set up an appointment to have someone measure the door frames. 2 installers came a few weeks afterwards and installed 9 doors in one morning. The doors look great and work well. We had some noise issues with the hinges on one of the doors after installation and they came out and replaced them same week no questions asked. This place is a gem! In the past, I have bought interior doors for other places I've lived in, many times over the course of the past two decades or so, had them installed, trimmed and made to fit by carpenters or handymen, then had to hire painters to paint them, then hire folks to install the hardware. I cannot tell you what a headache it all was and still, the doors never ever fit exactly quite right, and the painting was a mess, and the carpenters left a mess, etc. I researched interior doors and really did my homework. This company is a rare gem. Not only do they have a unique way to come to your home and measure your existing doors with laser-accuracy (they literally use a software they developed decades ago that measures with laser precision) they also make the doors, paint the doors, install the doors etc. And when I say they paint the doors, it's not just a random job with a spray gun. They have a highly sophisticated process that renders an extremely high quality, durable paint job that lasts and looks spectacular. They do this in a very high tech, state of the art process. As far as my research goes, there is no other company nor contractor that does this in this meticulous manner. From the time I contacted them, to the day I came into their showroom and saw their products in person, I've been treated with utmost professionalism and kindness. They are class acts. I cannot wait to post final photos of my install. I highly recommend them. Don't waste your time and money trying to find 3-5 different people to do a mediocre job with subpar doors.
