Five Stars Donuts I went there picked up half dozen donuts that included apple fritter, Boston cream, maple bacon, lemon filled, sour cream, and bear claw. The apple fritter tasted great, lots of apple chunks with soft texture and fresh - absolutely delicious. The maple bacon had lots of bacon bites on top with tasty maple icing - very flavorful. Sour cream donut tasted outstanding, soft, and not too heavy. Bear claw looked mouthwatering and crispy outside and soft chewy texture inside. It had cinnamon apple chunks in it and tasted just like apple pie - absolutely delicious. I like all the donuts I ate, my favorites were the apple fritter and bear claw. They were fresh and fantastic. Dev's makes good quality donuts at reasonable price. The donuts I ate were one of the best in the metro Atlanta area. BEST. DONUTS. EVER. I was a huge fan of Krispy Kreme and now they're dead to me(jk). I was a fan of Dough in the Box and it's my understand that the same guy started both. My favorite is donuts are the fritters. Blueberry or apple, both are wonderful. I don't want to take away from the other donuts but I really like fresh fritters. My wife's favorite donuts are the sour cream donuts, I think those are really good too. The biggest downfall to these donuts are that they're so good that I can't stop eating them. This place has to be related to Dough in the Box. The doughnuts taste exactly alike, and their hours are quite similar. Maybe not but they remind me of each other. Of course, that means that they are awesome! I tasted the cinnamon roll, buttermilk, and blueberry doughnut, all of which were light, airy, and sweet- not stoopid sweet but sweet enough. Dev! Where are youuuu?!?!?? What was once an amazing breakfast croissant has been warped into a pitiful and cheap version riddled with rubbery precooked, prepackaged egg and an oversized croissant with miniature strips of bacon. I had to throw away the egg and cook my own at home...the thing literally squeaked when I bit into it. I won't be eating here for a long and I sure won't be getting the croissants. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This is a little gem in Powder Springs that is very unassuming but houses some of the best donuts around! My husband is a firefighter in Cobb who learned of these through his station. He brought some home one day and that's been all she wrote ever since then. Lol. Our average dozen runs about $12 based on what we select. We've not had a donut here that wasn't amazing! The sour cream donut literally melts in your mouth and the blueberry donut is unlike ANY I've ever had. You can see the actual blueberries when you bite into the donut and for whatever reason that brings me real joy. Lol. Prices are super reasonable for some for br tastiest donuts I've ever had and the woman who works the counter is super sweet! I love that she always throws donut holes in no matter the size of the purchase. It's like a nice treat for buying a treat. They also have a nice selection of hot and cold beverages and the store is kept very clean. I've recommended this place to several friends and will continue to do so. We came here based on a local recommendation. The girl working the counter was nice and friendly. We chose about 6 donuts and ordered some egg, cheese and meat croissants. We sat down to wait for our sandwiches to be cooked and ate our donuts while we waited. The donuts are your basic variety and are decent. All of them have a tinge of coconut flavor to them which makes me wonder if they use coconut oil. It wasn't a bad taste, just different. While waiting for our sandwiches we began noticing how dirty the place was. The glass was smeared, the floor stained, the wall had food splatters and there were ants on the ground. When we went to use the bathroom it too was dirty, the paper towel dispenser was broken and there was some broken cabinetry next to the sink. Before our sandwiches came out the girl at the counter apologized that they had made them wrong and we would have to wait for them to remake them. When the correct sandwiches finally came out there was a long black hair in one of them (not ours!). We sent i back and got our money back. The sweet girl apologized over and over but after taking it all in we would not return. ps- if all you ever do is walk up to the counter, get donuts and leave you probably would never notice these things. My kids and I think this is the best donut place in the area. You probably wouldn't notice it nestled into a small strip mall. Their apple fritters are delicious with a crunchy sugary outside and a soft, chewy inside that has small chunks of apples cooked perfectly. After several visits, we have tried the lemon filled, chocolate cake, chocolate, blueberry, twist, apple fritter, and old fashion. All of them are delicious and at a great price point.
