Always glad to have a donut shop in the neighborhood. That's the one thing this shopping has been lacking for the past 8 years. What better donut shop than this ready made to order donut shop. We first tried this brand in buckhead a few years ago and we're certainly glad it has made its way out. I don't think I can ever go to a regular donut shop again, when I can get my donuts made my way and served to me hot. First visit to this new location - just opened summer '24. Donuts are made fresh, still warm & topped to order as you wait. The cashier was very patient as I tried to figure out what & how to order. We got a half-dozen mixed today. Very tasty - very sweet & a bit pricey too, so pace yourself - haha. The store has a bright & open atmosphere, "ducky decor" & merch for sale. I went to Duck Donuts 1st time for a "cheat treat". Summer served me. I told her it was my 1st time there, she was patient with me as I decided on my order. Used Uber Eats to have donuts delivered and decided to give Duck Donuts a try. We chose to do the favorites dozen box with build your own free. I understand you pay a premium when ordering through a delivery service, but to pay $58 for 13 donuts and only receive 4 out of the 13 flavors you chose is irritating. If you are out of options either update the menu or allow the customer the opportunity to select replacements. Will be sticking with Marietta Donuts 2 with overall better service. read more

I tried Duck Donuts for the first time since they finally began opening before 9:00 AM, ordering a mixed dozen, including vanilla iced with sprinkles, chocolate iced and cinnamon dusted. If this is your first time, plan to be there a while. Unlike other shops' mass production, Duck Doughnuts slowly slide out of the deep fryer on a chain one at a time, onto a cone shaped surface. The employee then picks that one doughnut up, turns around with it in his/her gloved hand and places it on the counter. Then, depending on the customization, shakes some sprinkles (e.g.cinnamon/sugar only) on from a can or brushes icing onto it or dips it into an icing pan (e.g. vanilla icing, chocolate icing), sprinkling again if ordered (e.g. red, white and blue sprinkles, bacon). He/she then places that in doughnut in a box. Then, I kid you not, wipes the always present excess icing on their other glove or on their apron - that's after each doughnut, mind you. The employee sometimes assembles the same doughnut type differently from the last one or from another worker. Completing a dozen doughnuts took about fifteen minutes and produced quite a mess for the shop, the worker and me. The doughnuts are medium sized, initially warm, with a somewhat gummy texture - not bad, but certainly not great. The icing and sprinkles are tasty. Making each doughnut to order is a fine concept - the problem is in the execution. Aside from how long the process takes, some doughnuts had icing dripped on the inside and outside of the box. I discovered that after getting icing on my hands, shirt and my car's leather seat - obviously a problem if headed to the office. Worse, after a 12 minute drive to my friend's house, the icing cooled down and hardened, acting as glue on the bottom of the box. I could not remove a doughnut without tearing it from the large globs of icing stuck to the bottom of the box, making a second mess. Duck Doughnuts has omitted warm doughnuts like Krispy Kreme with the additional flavor choices per doughnut of Dunkin'. With multiple inconveniences and extra costs that neither competitor has, it will be difficult tiring Duck Donuts to succeed. After my experience there, I'd just as soon buy a box or two from the competition or a box of chocolate enrobed Entenmann's, but to each his own. In any case, I am unlikely to return to Duck Donuts any time soon. read more

Last week I stopped by this place for the first time and was greeted by a girl with tattoos, didn't catch her name, but I wish I had because her service was seriously amazing. She was super friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and made the whole experience feel really welcoming. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure everything was just right. This place was a letdown. The donuts were a little stale and had no flavor with the biggest scoop of icing on top. You'll get better options and flavor from just Dunkin.
