I love their bakery but their food is questionable. I ordered a spicy bulgogi panini and the chicken is not edible! It's chewy and hard and it has an odor!! 5 stars for bakery and 0 stars for food honestly. It was my first time at a sweet hut! They have a vast selection of pastries and desserts. I tried the lemon blueberry cookie and the mango slushie. I would highly recommend those too and they aren't overly sweet. The service was good and she answered my questions. The Chastain sweet hut doesn't have as much variety as other locations. However, it is still very good and has some unique options

I always get the medium spice salt and pepper chicken nuggets and crème brûlée milk tea with boba and custard pudding. One thing I can say that's consistent with this place is the inconsistency. You can order the medium spice salt and pepper chicken nuggets and never get the same amount of spice every time. Sometimes it's too spicy and sometimes it's barely got any seasoning on it. I guess you'll just have to try your luck depending who is in the kitchen. Might as well order it with the seasoning on the side and you can put however much you want on it. My friend and I went barely after 10am and they already don't have the custard pudding I want. So I opted for no toppings in my crème brûlée milk tea. This location also runs out of things all the time. It's been this way for as long as I have been coming here (approx 7 yrs). I don't go in expecting to get what I want every time and I'm pleasantly surprised when I do get the toppings that I want. read more

This is a cute cafe. This is the type of place you can come have a tea/coffee and chill with friends or study group. Now let's not forget about all the pastries and other food options. The menu at first is overwhelming but after a minute or two you figure it out. There's so many options I wanted to try. I went with a chicken sandwich w/ side cucumber salad and fish balls to start. The sandwich was different but flavorful. I will have to say I wasn't a fan of the fish balls but they did come out pipping hot. I got the pineapple slushy and some pasties also. I hadn't been there in a number of years -- I initially thought the place not-all-that-wonderful -- but it's growing on me! I realize that I'm not a fan of Chinese pastries. They don't satisfy my sweet tooth. But Sweet Hut has more! This time I chose a red velvet chocolate chip cookie that I thoroughly enjoyed: crisp, sweet ... yum! We ordered the Bulgogi Cheese Steak with waffle fries and Chipotle Chicken Panini with cucumber salad. To drink we ordered the Wintermelon Green Tea 25% sweet and Peach Green Tea 25% sweet with boba. The cheese steak was fantastic! Exactly what I expected and more. It was full of bulgogi meat that was slightly sweet and very cheesy. The cheese pull was on point. The waffle fries were seasoned perfectly and fried just right. The panini also exceeded our expectations. It was super cheesy and delish from the provolone and chipotle mayo. The chicken breast was also big and juicy. The cucumber salad was sweet which was surprising, but it wasn't bad. Cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onions. Just wish we would've known it was more sweet than savory. I would definitely order both sandwiches again as they are excellent! The drinks were nice and refreshing as always. One of my go-to places to hang out with friends, I've been coming here for years. I love their variety of pastries, food and drinks. My favorite is the Taro milk tea. They host trivia every so often and it's always fun to come and compete. My only complaints: after COVID their selection of pastries went down and the price went up. Also the amount of buttercream/breads diminished. One reason I loved this place was because they use to be open until midnight or later- I'd come here to study. But since COVID those hours have reduced to 9PM at the latest. There have been a couple times I've visited and the boba is not very good. The tapioca pearls have been hard and flavorless, sometimes even watery. But other times I visit they're chewy and sweet, so a bit of a hit and miss. Parking: There is plenty of free parking at the Kennesaw/Marietta location. Food: Not only does the cafe offer pastries, but they also offer lunch items such as sandwiches and burgers. I've had their pastries before (both savory and sweet) and they are delicious but this was my first time getting a meal. I ordered the Sweet Hut Bulgogi Burger with a cucumber salad. I enjoyed my burger and the salad. Although I will say the salad had a bit much of the dressing, but overall it was still good. Drinks: I usually order their Vietnamese coffee, but decided to try something new. So I ordered their 4 berry fruit slush (which is kind of like a smoothie). I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first, but it grew on me the more I drank it. They also have a variety of coffees and teas to choose from. Vibe: I really enjoy the vibe here and it's a great place to come catch up with friends and/or to set up your laptop and work. I went solo to work on blog and they have outlets and free wifi. There are tables for two and more, and a bar seating area, as well as an upstairs section. The staff is patient with answering questions and helped me decide on what to get. Grab a glove and tray, and pick some affordable buns or pastries ($2 - $3). Head to the counter and drool over the pricier desserts ($5 ish): crème brûlée, mousse, cake, tarts. Order a substantial bite to eat, or maybe just opt for a boba tea. If you are new to it but like sweet iced tea, try a large milk tea with honey boba. It's rich, creamy, and sweet with addictive little tapioca bubbles for a fun texture and sweet pop of flavor. You'll pick up your tea at the far end of the counter. Grab a large straw and stab through the cup topper. Head upstairs for comfy seating with a unique view over the restaurant's fun, pink vibes. We went to Sweet Hut at about 7pm on a Thursday. It was pretty busy but we were just buying pastries for dessert so it wasn't too bad for us. We got a strawberry cream filled croissant, a coconut cream filled pastry and a vanilla cupcake. My favorite was definitely the croissant. It was perfectly buttery and the filling was delicious and not too sweet. The coconut pastry was also amazing. The vanilla cupcake was light and fluffy, but needed a little more of the filling in my opinion. I have never had a bad experience at Sweet Hut. Checking out is easy and the employees are always friendly. I have yet to try any beverages or savory treats/meals (but I've heard their milk tea is great) so I will hold out on giving 5 stars until I am able to try them! read more
