Oh you fancy huh ? - STAY AWAY Just to be clear - THIS IS A DIVE BAR - deep dive bar - Jacques Cousteau deep dive bar !! This a great place for cheap drinks with locals and karaoke on a Saturday night. I enjoy that an any random night, you can mix it up with record executives, life guards, Yelpers, Local businesses men, and yes the occasional drug dealers and prostitute but you could wait in line all night to get into Mansion and see the same people and spend a lot more. I saw a few WORLD CUP games there and had no problem with the volume, but of course I had to turn it up myself because the waitress just didn't know how to do it. - agree with Maria - Yellow Card for Training. Also as the Miami Beach Philly Bar - they have the banner outside to prove it - I can't not go here for a game. More than most places if you are nice the bartenders, they will be nice to you. I brought a group of Rotary Exchange Teamers from Latvia and Sweden on Halloween and they had a blast thanks to the staff who kept the on the house shots coming. They do need to keep locks working on the bathroom doors though. It can get kind of scary when the door flies open and you are walking in ..lol Good place to start or end an evening on SoBe for sure.

Walking in you get that old school feel with the staff dressed to the tee and very friendly. They had a special pre fixe menu that was fairly priced which allowed me to try a lot of the menu instead of having to order a la carte. Our server was professional and terse but in a way that I didn't mind and he even scolded some other busboys for taking too long to clear our table which I found funny but appreciated too. I started with the Stuffies which were amazing! The baked clams were dressed up nicely and these were very tasty. The stone crabs were delicious and I loved the dipping sauce it came with. Granted we visited outside of stone crab season and so I'd love to come back when the crabs are more fresh and in season. It also came with sides of hash browns, creamed spinach, and a grilled tomato. While I appreciate the quantity and variety they gave, these sides were a miss for me. The pre fixe concluded with my choice of the Key Lime Pie which was a nice ending for the meal. Nicely balanced between tart and sweetness. My only note would be for the crust layer to be bigger since it would help balance out the pie portion a bit better. We also got the fried chicken which is a steal for only $9. Excellent and crispy skin and very moist! The only dry piece was the breast unfortunately, but otherwise it's hard to find a better fried chicken at this price.

I did a search on Yelp and came across Mehzcla which had a number of high rated reviews. I always read the bad reviews to see what people are complaining about but do so with a grain of salt. The complaints were regarding service and price, which I will address. Mehzcla is the hotel restaurant for the Lord Balfour and consists of patio seating and seats in the lobby and lobby bar. The night we went, there was bartender/server and another server handling the restaurant. It wasn't terribly busy and looked like a number of people were just having drinks on the patio where we sat which provided great people watching on Ocean Drive. They have a happy hour with $10 mixed drinks, appetizers, and meals that runs until 8 pm. The restaurant is billed as Latin but I'd say it was more of pub fare with maybe a Latin flare. The two servers rotated taking care of us and were polite, friendly, but hard to find from time to time. We ordered mixed drinks which could have used more alcohol but were tasty. I had a mescal margherita with a spiced rim (which I had to request and describe). Had the hot fried chicken sandwich and had no complaints about the chicken. The sandwich came with fries which were pretty good. Only complaint is that I like to have my fries spiced up, which most restaurants can accommodate. I asked the server for my fries to be spiced and gave several options on how to do it. Fries came out plain with no explanation why my request was not accommodated. Had the churros for dessert. Three large churros covered in cinnamon sugar with chocolate and Carmel dipping sauce. The churros were good except one was a little over cooked. It was an ok experience for something quick and not having to spend a ton of money. Still much better options in SoBe.

The food was okay at best, honestly probably the weakest part of the whole experience. But that's not really why you go. The live music, the open dance floor, the whole vibe and atmosphere here is top notch. Came here for my birthday week and had such a fun, amazing time. We were thoroughly engaged with the band the whole night, they even handed us instruments to play along with at one point, which is not something that happens at most restaurants. Service was great, and the staff genuinely seemed to be having as much fun with us as we were having with them. Come for the party, not the plate, and you'll leave happy.

It was their trivia night, I believe there was a $1500 pot if you win. Everyone seemed to be playing. We arrived to late to join. The place was packed yet there were only two servers. Our server was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. However she managed to keep up with out party of 9. There were times we were waiting for assistance however we could see she wasn't just sitting on her ass. We order burgers, flat breads, tenders and steak tacos. Steak tacos were horrible Burgers were delicious Flatbread were good Tenders definitely looked like they were frozen tenders from the grocer. The beverages were nice not too strong but not weak. We were kinda profiled however as a black person you get use to it. My husband and brother stepped out for a smoke break..although everyone else was still seated at the table. We watched security run out after them. We laughed cause they looked stupid. When security ran out there they pretended to be looking at something when they noticed they guys were right outside the door. Irish pub we didn't expect any less. However it was kinds funny how the guy darted out after them then aimlessly looked around after he realized they were smoking a cigarette ‍

This most recent visit (pub crawl), I enjoyed a strong whiskey & blue curacao cocktail. It was a pleasant surprise to enjoy a solid pour at this kind of event! A few other times I've enjoyed their burgers and old fashioneds. I need to keep myself acquainted with this spot!

There's an intense dynamic of action throughout this joint- upstairs and downstairs. There's professional performers on the center bar top. The drinks are definitely expensive, but that is to be expected in South Beach. The only complaint is the bartenders I visited on the bottom floor to the left bar in the back and upstairs in the DJ room looked like they did not want to be there. Perhaps, this place is too wild for a continuous eight hour shift? Who knows. The jovial atmosphere in this place makes you forget quickly though. I think I stayed here until 2am dancing my ass off.
