This in response to Catherine. To my knowledge we've never had this person as a client in our program. I'd like to highlight what is true and what is false here. Am I uncertified as of 2022? Yes. When I became a trainer back when I was 18 I got certified through nasm. After a couple years it expires and you have to renew it, I never felt the need to renew it as it didn't make me any less credible or take away from the knowledge I learned by deciding to not renew it. I would like to point out to everyone that I never act as if I'm perfect. People assume that if you are giving out a lesson on social media such as "You need to have more patience and not procrastinate" that means I have unlimited patience and never procrastinate, which simply isn't the case. One of the reasons we've been around this long is because i'm very transparent about my flaws and short comings and the very reason I became a coach is because I learned how to overcome those things and find purpose in helping others do the same. We shower our clients with praise and congratulate their efforts all over social media. Do we post before and after pictures and share how we have helped people get in shape? Of course. As any small business would! Just because we highlight what we have done to help people doesn't take away the credit from the actual clients who make the sacrifices and do the work. As a coach, we have those tough conversations it's important to be honest with people and to some it can seem offensive and to others it is a much needed kick in the butt. To anybody who reads this, i'd like to point out that both negative reviews are from people who have never stepped foot in our gym or actually experienced our program. These are people who see our posts on social media and may have felt personally attacked. But when we post on social media a "lesson" such as "we need to work on making sacrifices to get to the gym" these inspire many people and they nod their heads in agreement, while others view it as "condescending" and are offended that anybody would have the audacity to say that. I have been a client of Darrien's/DFF Bootcamp for just over a month. But, prior to this time around I was a client in 2018-2020. I took time some time off during the Pandemic and during that time I became pregnant and had my son. When I was ready to start focusing on my health again I had never considered going anywhere other than DFF Bootcamp because I know it works and Darrien makes me feel so comfortable and never puts me down to make me feel worse than I had been feeling. Upon my return Darrien has not once made me feel bad for letting myself slip back to where I had been before I joined his program nor has he expected me to be where I was prior to leaving. Even though I have been discouraged and mad at myself he has welcomed me back with encouragement, positivity and new goals in mind. I attend at 5:30 am and he does a great job welcoming us as soon as we get inside with a cheerful "good morning" and a positive attitude, which sets the tone for the workout right away. He has the music ready and gym set up for intense and different workouts everyday (which I love!). Each workout he gives beginner, moderate and advanced options while encouraging you to try to push yourself and make sure you're challenging yourself everyday. He has does a great job of creating an environment full of strong, encouraging, determined women (and few men) who are each other's inspiration and cheerleaders. You are paying for Bootcamp service but you get so much more with the body measurements, nutrition check in and the friends you make during your fitness journey is unparalleled. I've come across Darrien's Facebook page various times in the beginning of the year. Just like any new person, yeah it looks intimidating because it looks like we're surrounding ourselves with people who know what they're doing with exercise equipment. I've been struggling with self-esteem issues for couple of years now. I used to be fit and an athlete in high school, but when I attended college, I lost myself. So I got to my final breaking point where I wanted to change my life once and for all. I saw Darrien promoting an amazing deal, 21$ for 21 days, and I decided to go for it. Little did I know it was/is the best decision I had made. Of course I was super nervous on the first day, but when I walked through his door, he made me feel like I had been part of his bootcamp for years. His positive energy just radiates throughout this place and you won't ever feel like an outsider. He really pushes you to the best of your ability and knows we're capable of so much more. I've been a part of DFF Bootcamp for 3 years now consistently and it's been such an incredible habit for me! I've always enjoyed working out, but after having my third child it became very stressful to try and find the time to workout on my own. I used to spend 30 min each way driving to the In Shape Suisun and while the classes were fun, they didn't really challenge me physically. I decided to give DFF a try, figuring I probably wouldn't like it, but I quickly came to love the motivating atmosphere and the consistency of working out at the same time 4 days per week. I even became an early riser when I decided to give the 5:30am class a try. Getting to the gym before my kids wake up in the morning helps me to be a better mom and person throughout the day, but I wouldn't NEVER have the motivation to push myself at 5:30am without a trainer and a class full of other people! Darrien knows how to push you when you need pushing and how to help you modify the exercise if you have an injury or another physical challenge. I love having him as my coach! read more

I wish I had a nice thing to say about this place, but I would give it less stars than one if I could. The owner "darrien" is the biggest piece of garbage who's simply in the business of tearing women down so he can feel like the big man who 'fixed' them. If you want to be degraded publicly, this is the place for you! Even if public shaming is what you're looking for you'll still get subpar workouts. He doesn't care about your health or your self growth, he cares about his image and claims that YOUR hard work is all because of him, a serious god complex on this unlicensed 'trainer'. All your hard work will be credited to him, your LIFE is will become a huge public display of "look what I did im the greatest, their life was nothing until me". Everyone is flawed in his eyes, except him of course. He pretends to care but everything is based on cultivating his own image, deep down darrien is garbage. DFF IS IT!!!! Being in Oregon and still feeling as if I was personally there at every class is HUGE for me! I choose Darrien after many years of struggling with my weight and eating habits and he reached out via social media, always encouraging me and assuring me that he would be there every step of the way and he sure has done that! He makes sure to check in, genuinely cares for his clients not as paying clients but family. It's clear that he's in the right career! Not many even in your own town will make you feel this welcome, this confident in your journey but Darrien was and has been able to do that and more. If you are thinking of doing this, stop over-thinking and just do it. You will not regret the decision. I had not been inside a gym in about 7 years when I walked into DFF Bootcamp. Darrien has been welcoming and encouraging as well as compassionate and understanding. I am starting from scratch and often need modifications to the exercises but I never feel awkward or lesser because Coach Darrien is so patient. Disregard any negative review. There's no way those are accurate! Darrien is an incredible trainer. He is knowledgeable, motivational, and beyond positive. He has an ability to encourage you and make you achieve goals that you didn't know were possible. The music pumps you up, the circuit workouts change daily. There's absolutely no feeling of competition (other than with yourself). The room is filled with your greatest cheerleaders. The program is unlike anything you will find in a traditional gym. I have been attending dffbootcsmp for just over a year. Darrien is a great trainer, keeps the mood upbeat and fun. He knows a lot about nutrition and helped me get on track to a healthier lifestyle. Right now I'm in better shape at 55 years old than I have been in years. If you have physical limitations that won't allow you to do certain exercises He changes them up to let you get the same results from something you can do.
