I had the yummiest lunch here today! My veggie wrap was stuffed with potatoes, lots of veggies, and rice. And then it was toasted on both sides. The price was great for this item. It came with a choice of two sauces, a yogurt sauce and a really good sweet sauce. Employees were friendly and helpful, and I only waited 7-10 minutes for my veggie wrap. Luckily, it was cut in half for me. I only finished half and will enjoy the rest of it later. Sing and his awesome crew of employees make some of the best Indian food we have had in Portland. My wife and I are vegan and can always find something delicious to eat. The flavors are vibrant and fresh, the employees are incredibly kind, and the location is great because you can dine under canopy or on picnic benches and even grab a drink from the cart right across from here. We probably eat here once or twice a week and have never gotten tired of the food. I cannot recommend this place enough and can promise you will not be disappointed, ever! read more

They were already familiar with the Nob Hill food trucks and recognized the picture on the truck from their show. Possibly the worst Indian food I've ever had anywhere in the world. Lamb vindaloo was extremely bland - did they forget to add spices? Not even salt? The gravy was just watery it was more like soup than curry/gravy consistency. The dude manning the truck was so out of it.. dazed/confused..possibly under influence. Dhaba expanded from its PSU location, adding this truck in a small food cart pod with a nice seating area. This is a review of the lamb saag. Unlike some other makers, this sag is not over salted and has a rich almost fruity flavor. Part of the secret may be the overnight marinade for the lamb which included ginger. I don't think the lamb vindaloo is as successful with its dominant vinegar notes. read more

This must be the worst Indian food I've had; basically got chicken on rice when I've eaten from here. Indian food shouldn't be bland and this food cart isn't worth trying. It's also been less than sanitary looking (greasy credit card reader). Try one of the other food carts. read more

Got the lamb vindaloo to go. Contrary to the other reviewers, I was pretty underwhelmed. There was a good amount of food for the price but the vindaloo, albeit flavorful, was watery; the jasmine rice was bland and tasteless. Maybe their tikka masala is better, but I've had better Indian food, even from a food truck. read more

Unexpectedly good for a food cart! I'm usually a die hard Choice of India stan but we came upon this food cart pod in NW and were craving Indian food, so decided to try it. Prices were pretty good ($11~) and the chicken biryani was yummy with big portions. The curry for the paneer tikka masala was a litttttle thin for my preference but flavor was on point! read more

Kept walking by this truck when I was grabbing lunch in this food pod and it smelled so amazing that I felt compelled to try it. Food is excellent- flavorful, perfect level of spice, high quality meat. Far better than any other Indian restaurant I've tried in Portland. This is a great food pod to visit but their delivery is also great and always arrives piping hot. read more

I was originally going to the bing mi food truck but caught a whiff of this truck and it was too good to pass. My husband and I decided to split up and do half bing mi half Indian. I ordered the butter chicken and a side of garlic naan. The wait wasn't too bad (about 15min with 3 ordered ahead of me), food was piping hot, tasty, and the garlic naan was large and chewy. Two stars because I haven't puked. Yet. Chicken Korma, Vegetable Curry and one Naan was $21. No big deal if it was good. But....the Korma sauce was watered down and tastless. Their Vegetable Curry is really weak Vegetable soup. Chicken in the Korma was barely warmed. The naan was uncooked and doughy. Trashed it. Portions were small. I was hungry and still...half the order went into the dumper. I'm still hungry. Don't try to order on the phone, you can't hear them. Thumb-over-the-mic-tardation. They are very slow. Cooking the ONE order and the checkout was nearly 30 minutes. The kitchen looked nasty. The cook in the back was peeling boiled potatoes, one-handed, with her fingernails while on the phone. The cook up front was sporting nasty bandaids. I'd bet $21 that his hands hadn't been washed today. Last time I was there, there was a different cook and it was pretty okay.
