The food tasted authentic and delicious. This was my first time eating here, and we were not disappointed. Everything we tried was tasty. The lamb vindaloo was probably my favorite dish, but all were solid. The service was prompt. I called in a phone order, and from start to finish, it took 30 minutes for the order to be completed. When I arrived, the food was ready to go. I paid and left. The woman who gave me the food was very kind. The ambiance appeared average at this establishment. In my opinion, where the restaurant is located, this part of Portland is dirty and feels unsafe because of the unsavory people who inhabit it. The restaurant is takeout only, and I was completely fine with it because it's not an area where I would want to hang out. This spot is up there with any of the Indian food I have had in Portland, and I would personally say it's one of the best. I look forward to coming back and trying more offerings.

The Paneer Tikka Masala is FIRE. Reminds me of how it is in India, very authentic and the paneer itself is big and has a smokey flavor to it which completes the gravy really well The Saag paneer is not bad but it didn't stand out like the Tikka Masala. Both dishes were ordered Medium and it matched the spice well. The Saag could've been spicier The Gobi Manchurian was also really good, with the perfect level of spice and flavor. The Paneer Pakoras was too breaded and had a very small amount of paneer in them, also was more bland compared to the other options so definitely worth skipping We did takeout and even the next day the paneer tikka masala leftover was as good as it was when we ordered it so I definitely recommend getting that and the Gobi Manchurian for sure

Solid spot! Really liked the flavor of their food. Everything I ordered tasted fresh and high-quality. Serving size was good, not too big not too small. The Samosa Chana Chaat had a bit of a kick to it. I like the sauce on top. Samosas were crunchy and generously filled. The Masala Dosa was also good. The batter outside was a bit tangy but it went really well with the creamy potato filling that was packed inside. I liked the accompanying nutty and spicy sauces too, paired well with the dish. Got to try their Rasmalai too. It's my first and I kinda into it. Not as sweet as many Indian desserts. The milk was flagrant and refreshing while the sponge was super tender and sopped up all the creamy goodness. Very quick to order and pick up. Maybe a bit too quick, funnily enough. I went early and the food was already there sitting for a bit. They got ultra fast chefs here so maybe go pick up on the early side to avoid your food getting cold!

First thing to say, I always appreciate when an "extra spicy" request is met, and my lamb vindaloo delivered. Most of the dishes we got were strong. My wife's paneer butter masala was fantastic, and the samosas were very tasty. The paneer pakora was a little dry, disappointing but understandable after delivery. Other than that, we were pretty happy.

I had been craving Indian food for the past couple weeks and finally found time to come here! Very friendly staff and good quality authentic food! Drinks: we had house red wine because unfortunately any other wine could only be ordered by the bottle, but the house option was pretty good! App: tried the Aloo Bonda, basically a samosa but in a large round form (menu says dumpling sized but actually quite large and round like a super-meatball). These were warm and yummy and the two sauces that came with it were super tasty and had great flavor! Mains: Saag with lamb was honestly a little tasteless and I was disappointed in the consistency. It was still good, just not exactly what I would have ideally imagined it would be. Chicken tikka masala was perfect and I could have eaten just that and been super content! Both entrees also came with a side of rice. Garlic naan: PERFECT, I could eat it for days. Overall it quenched my Indian food craving while not being the absolute best or the fanciest environment. I would definitely go back and I do think the prices were fair for the amount of food I got and the leftovers I'll be enjoying for lunch tomorrow!

I ordered the chicken kati roll, a tikka bowl, and lemonade. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The kati roll was especially perfect well-seasoned, nicely wrapped, and satisfying without feeling heavy. The tikka bowl was also really good, with great balance of spices and textures. Even though I ordered to go, I couldn't help but notice how stunning the interior is. Honestly, I've rarely seen such a beautifully designed and spacious Indian restaurant. It's a perfect blend of modern style and authentic Indian décor, which gives it a unique and welcoming vibe. The place was spotless, and the staff were very friendly and helpful from start to finish. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and the overall experience makes it worth a visit. Definitely recommend trying it at least once if you're in the area solid food, great atmosphere, and excellent service.

There's…read moredefinitely a part of me that misses pre-pandemic era when lunch buffets were common place and this place is only a few blocks from my office. I got there a little after 11:30. The sign said the buffet started at 11:30 but they weren't ready, so I had to wait a little bit. Not a big deal, especially when a place is trying something new. It gave me an opportunity to check out the space. Like a lot of Indian restaurants, it's a little over the top, with the decor pushing towards opulent but not in an overly stuffy way. The buffet was setup along the bar top, and it was clear they were still figuring it out. Instead of chafing dishes and sternos, they were using electric warming trays and setting out the cookware on top of them. Price wise, it's $20, which feels like the going rate these days (i.e. it's the same as Namaste). That being said, the smaller setup and the individually cooked items meant a way higher quality of food. There was a chicken curry, mushroom magic, a daal, chicken tikka, gulab jamun and a handful of other items including a fusion quesadilla with chicken and pieces of fried paneer. The curry was fine, nothing special. The daal (I think tadka?) was a little thinner than I prefer and a slightly over-seasoned, but was good even with the over seasoning. The mushroom magic was good, but the real spotlight was the chicken tikka. With everything being prepared in smaller batches than the stereotypical buffet, this was the moistest chicken tikka I ever had, and the texture and flavor far exceeded anything I would expect from a buffet. They did bring out fresh naan, but that felt like something they were doing since it was still new/slow, i.e. they had naan on the buffet line too. The only thing I would have liked would have beeen some achar, but I'm sure that puts me in a very small slice of potential customers. Definitely see myself coming back here, and ideally dragging along some of my coworkers. tl;dr; smaller buffet with incredible quality due

We decided to try the thali, thinking it would give us a chance to sample multiple curries. At $60, we assumed we were getting two individual thalis--one per person. To our surprise, it turned out to be a single plate meant to be shared between two. That was definitely disappointing, especially since we arrived hungry and expected a more substantial meal for that price. For context, most Indian restaurants typically serve a thali per person in the $12-15 range. The food itself was just okay. A couple of the curries were decent, while others didn't quite hit the mark. That said, we still finished everything simply because we were starving. One positive was our host--Deepak, I believe--who was friendly and had a great sense of humor. I genuinely appreciated his service, though I regret not leaving a bigger tip because I left feeling like the value for money just wasn't there. The ambiance was average, nothing special, and parking was a real hassle. Street parking was tough to find.
