I know that this is going to sound cheesy, but Divine is simply divine! I've been going to Divine and getting my hair cut by Coral for years. She is amazing! I usually have an idea of what I want done when I go in but I usually end up saying "Whatever you think. Make me beautiful!" And she has NEVER let me down. I always feel like a million bucks when I leave Divine and I know I look great (and it doesn't break my bank like some places do). The salon is beautiful, clean, tidy, and it really has a great atmosphere. All of the girls are so kind and friendly. I started going to Divine by a fluke. A girlfriend of mine got a couple groupons for a hair cut. I thought why the hell not, I was in major need of something and for $30 whats the worst that could happen. Now I have long, fine, wavy, naturally blonde hair, with bangs that I like longer and swept to the side. For years I have struggled with trying to find someone who can cut my hair the way I like. I like volume and my bangs cut a certain way. I got my hair cut by Christina, who is fantastic! Not only did I love love LOVE my awesome cut but per personality made the whole experience even better, so I rebooked thinking this is a fluke no ones this good. Well I got my hair cut last night by Christina again, and I still could not be happier! Christina had no problems, she went to work and after wards it's like you could hear the heavens behind us. A men's haircut can often be a pedestrian event, however at Divine they offer you something to drink when you arrive, give you an opportunity to change I to a smock to protect your clothes if required. I love Divine! I've been seeing Karie for about 3 years now. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere is so inviting! I'm always offered a tea or water to drink. Feeling tired and with a crazy schedule I was thrilled to get in quickly to see Courtney, I couldn't get in to my regular stylist and I'm so glad now. This was my first time at this salon I came because of the reviews. I live totally on the other end of town but I will drive for a good cut/colour. This was my first visit to Divine Hair Creations and I booked on rather short notice since I couldn't get into my usual place. I found Divine on Yelp and the reviews were promising. The salon is clean and well kept, though perhaps not as upscale and spa like as some of the places I've become used to. I booked in for the night before catching a 6:00 am flight for vacation / a wedding. While I am usually persistent about seeing a senior stylist, I was encouraged that Alannah (one of their intermediate stylists) was really good, so decided to give her a chance. I am so glad that I did. I'm a natural redhead and wanted something bright and fun in orange/copper shades and a short cut.I had a few pictures for inspiration and few details from some of my favorite past colors. I appreciated that Jamie (one of the owners) was nearby and there was a team collaboration to pull together the color I was looking for. There is a great team dynamic in this place. Alannah stayed well after hours to make sure everything came out perfectly and she was very receptive to my requests. You might say I am more than just a little bit picky about my hair when I want what I want. The color and cut turned out better than I imagined it and I have gotten non-stop compliments from people I know and people that I've now met thanks to this conversation starter. I went here a few days ago, and it was my first time going to DHC. I LOVED my haircut! I went pretty short, and was nervous because the last time I cut my hair short, it was a disaster. I got a super relaxing scalp massage before the cut, and picked up some cool new shampoos that helped with my dry hair. The salon is beautiful and clean. The staff is friendly and listens to you. I've been going to see Courtney at Divine Hair Creations for almost a year now, after my last hair stylist moved away. The store is clean and comfortable, with plenty of free parking. It always makes my visits more enjoyable, knowing that the business is easily accessible and that I don't have to look everywhere for a parking spot. Courtney and the other employees are always friendly and inviting, and made the transition to a new hair salon extremely easy. I've also found that Divine's prices (I can only speak for men) are fairly reasonable compared to a lot of the other posh salons in the city. I've gone for both coloring and routine cuts, and would recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Went to get my hair done for the second time and when i called ahead to book with a certain girl and get a quote i was quoted way less than what i was billed AND turns out they booked me with someone else. They told me in my confirmation call that it was somebody else, but they did not inform me of the price rate change until i was ready to pay. Now on to my hair. I have never left a salon so upset before. Don't get me wrong, my hair looks really good. But it was NOT what i had asked for when i booked and when i walked in. I was getting an ombre colour done and when I'm sitting there with the first colour in my hair is when they tell me that they DON'T have the second colour i was asking for in stock. So of course i had no choice but to choose a different colour for the ends. I didn't get the option to say "that's ok, I'll come back when its in stock" or even to decide before hand to change up the colours. When it came time to pay i was then informed that the price was $100 more than what i was quoted and that i would have to pay the senior stylist price, not the newer stylist price to which i was even misquoted for. Here's the kicker. I had no offers for a discount(just informed that i would have to pay more due to a more experienced stylist that i did not book for) and no offer to come in later when we have it and we'll fix it. i had to ask for money off due to them not having the colour i wanted. Know what i got? 37$ off. I was almost in tears my whole drive home. And when my roommates complemented my hair, all i could say was, "not what i asked for" When i called back the next day when i wasn't so upset, that's when i found out that the stylist was supposed to offer the fix to the proper colour at a later date and they put it under a colour correction and that's why the price went so much higher than quoted(oh and they were going to be having a meeting that day because they were quoting people too low). I had even mentioned something about colour corrections being so expensive and she still did not tell me that that's what she was doing. I really enjoyed the first stylist that i had seen there, not impressed with how i was misinformed the whole way this time. I will not be returning for any "fixes" read more

I went to Divine based on the ratings on Yelp!! I took my daughters to get their cut with Christina and loved her. She gave them spray in color and sparkles! While I was there I made an app for myself. I have very very thick and very long hair.. I was ready for a change and she was so great she did such a great job. she is very knowledgeable and confident in what she does both qualities I adore in a stylist.. I'm always nervous when I'm trying a new hair salon I haven't done that in a long time as last time I did it I had lots of damage I had a consultation with Jocelyn I like platinum blonde which can be hard to do without damaging the hair. Jocelyn was great! When it wasn't quite exactly what I wanted in the beginning to make sure to do everything she needed to make sure he was as at platinum as we could get it! She has a fun energetic full of my personality happy to say I found my new salon :) I definitely recommend her as well as the whole salon everybody was friendly and polite I even got a head massage while I waited :) read more

Pretty good place went for a ombre dye job after never having my hair dyed in a salon. Everything went great the only thing I wasn't feeling was the roughness in the hair washing and blow drying my scalp was still sore later in the day. read more

I have been going to Divine for over 3 years and I love it. Jody is fantastic. I have thick, wavy hair that is hard to manage. If it's not cut right, the layers look choppy, or it doesn't lie correctly no matter how I style it, and it seemed like the only time I ever liked it was for a few weeks before I would have to go in to get it cut again. Jody's haircuts for my long hair grow in so naturally and maintain their shape that they pretty much don't even require me going in for a maintenance trim. I go in once every 3 months but could easily go less and still have manageable hair. Really amazing! read more

I'm not into posting negative reviews, but this was really bad, and I wish I'd had some warning like this before making my appointment at Divine Hair Creations. The hairdresser didn't pay attention to what I wanted, and didn't seem the least bit concerned when the results weren't at all what I'd asked for. And this was one of the owners! I had to point out the fail, and ask her to fix it. Then she charged me a ridiculously steep price - for the extra time? hair dye? - that she used in trying (unsuccessfully!) to make it right. But at that point I wasn't going to argue the price, I just wanted to get the hell out of there. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER! read more

The cut was pretty good. Like how she cut the back. However, the colour was not great. Asked for low lights and highlights. Ended up with my mousy grey and brown hair mixed in with highlights that were too dark and very dull. Would go back because I did like the cut but will make sure next time that I get what I ask for (LOWLIGHTS and HIGHLIGHTS)!! read more

My hair cut was uneven and nothing like the picture that I've shown. The salon did call me back in and had a senior hair stylist "fix" my hair. In my opinion, the hair cut that I got was still not worth the price that I've paid. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

What an excellent salon- well run, clean, hard working staff...and perfecrion of their craft, as demonstrated by the excellent job Kelsey did on my hair. I had gone so long tying my hair back after a couple of "not so favorable" trips to a couple of different salons. Kelsey just worked her magic, and I can honestly say I left feeling awesome. It is such a spa like experience, from the easy, fun conversation- to the hand and neck massage...what a treat! I was babysitting and had the child cut off my braids 3 days before a major event. Was new to the city and found these ladies. They did an amazing job and have been going back ever since. I AM JUST SO UPSET, coming here was a nightmare. i am not guna lie, service was nice. what i got done to my hair is nothing like what i wanted. i booked an appt and asked the reception who is the best hairstylist and she told that there are 3 different prices that we have, senior hairstylist would be the best i booked it with kelsey who apprently has more then 10 years of experience. i dont care about how much it cost. i showed her a picture of what i want and she said oh sure i can do that. MY HAIRCUT WAS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE. my hair is uneven, my co workers at work even noticed. i actually cried infront of the reception. im sooooo upset she cut the lenth straight, she showed me the end results i told her i dont want it straight. even thought my hair was dry she said oh not to worry i will make it a U shape, i even told her that oh my hair is dry now, will that be ok? she said yes, end result, UNEVEN. im really upset... i just dont know what to do..
