    I just had the rudest and most unprofessional delivery experience with ODF. My $8,000 order was…read moredropped in the middle of my driveway, even after I explained to the driver that I had just been discharged from the hospital and could not manage it there. I asked if he could place the delivery in the backyard--he refused. I then asked if he could move it just ten steps to my garage, and again he refused, saying it was not part of his job. When I called ODF to escalate, the representative, Louis, blocked me from speaking with a manager and insisted that I simply sign for the delivery. The paperwork I received wasn't even for my order--it listed Tesla batteries. The driver, Jessie Jimez, told me if I didn't sign, he would take the delivery away. Not trusting that my order would be properly handled if removed, I reluctantly told him to leave it where it was. When I raised my voice in frustration, the driver informed me that his supervisor, Brandon, was listening in on the phone but would not allow me to speak to him directly. This lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer care is absolutely unacceptable. To make matters worse, as the driver walked away, I heard exactly what he called me under his breath. He may not have realized how well I hear, but it only confirmed the complete lack of respect and professionalism in this delivery. As a designer with over 25 years of experience, I have worked with many vendors and services, and I have never encountered this level of disregard. Going forward, I will be working with Elwell or another delivery service that values its reputation and treats clients with the respect they deserve.

For days, they were not able to trace the freight while it was sitting in their Ringwood Ave facility. Finally after the manufacturer and seller intervened, they magically found the item and was scheduled for delivery today (8/16). Spent my after noon waiting for delivery skipping my 3 contract jobs. At 10:30pm checked their website to check the status and found it is marked as delivered while no one came to my house today afternoon until now (10:45pm). Initiated claim process, very lousy and irresponsible company to deal with!

I had to stop him from fleeing the scene and asked to speak with someone at the company. The branch was over 8" thick and was blocking traffic. Before I could turn around the driver jumped in his truck and took off. I was told I would receive a call from the company, never did, and had to call back several times to speak with someone. I was finally provided a case number only to hear from someone at the corporate office whom said they are not responsible for branches over the street. They would not pay the claim. While the cost to have the tree removed was not overly excessive this response was from the claims department disgusting.

    14 years over a million miles,LOA fired me after little over 2 months. Clearly I had been…read moreincapacitated to respond to there requests. ODFL Sacramento terminal manager, Jake Hall ,and western regional manager Jason Garrison didn't even reach out to my emergency contacts to check if I was even alive.The pay is good, but the medical is a waste of time just like corporate.My benefits department called and I had to have my wife speak with them and have me agree that the tons of my PTO I have will cover my benefits.I had to have her talk to them because I was really sick. OD took the money for the back owed benefits. When I finally got out of the hospital to make contact to Jake Hall, he led me on for over a week. On the 8th day, finally he pretended I never even worked there. "Hey ODFL picture is me with double pneumonia, septic,with a ventilator and a 104 temperature".Doctor thanked me for finally coming to the hospital with that great coverage because he said I would have been dead within 2 days when I was in the ICU shortly after and my wife gave the medical insurance I had through them. About 7-10 days later, when I was coherent and able to finally get a grasp on why I'm here and what is happening, they inform me I have no medical insurance . ODFL Sacramento bosses know I would never quit, you were going to be my retirement job. I had dispatch inform me that I didn't need to call off every night. I had the PTO time available for taking that time off,I called off every night so I didn't get a no call no show and had the PTO time to unfortunately not come in. LOA informed a great dispatcher that they were going to put me on LOA even if I have PTO to cover my shifts. ODFL Sacramento employees, I miss you and the great time working with you. I was trying to get through a couple illnesses because ODFL has horrible benefits. How can I go to doctor and get diagnosed testing done? Thank you Old Dominion for cutting benefits just in time for a 11 day ICU stay and another 3 days in recovery. Fellow employees don't rely on them for much always take everything home from work you brought. You never know when your last work day will be with them. I never received a phone call, or a letter, saying I couldn't come back. I called Jake Hall to ask him about it, he said "er, I'm in the middle of something big right now, Mark". And to employees, Old dominion won't want to pay your medical bills and you have a big chance of getting let go.

    When I was deciding on a moving pod service to use, I was initially hesitant to choose U-pack…read morebecause of overwhelmingly negative reviews I've seen on Trustpilot. Since U-Pack was the most economical choice out of other options I explored, I decided to take a chance. I'm happy to say I made the right choice. The process of setting up a time and place to drop off my container was very easy. The requirements for the drop-off were clearly explained. However, I wish it was possible to automatically receive a location-specific assessment of whether or not a parking permit for the container was needed and, if so, a link to the location's website for applying for a parking permit. Even better would be if U-Pack could, for a fee, apply for the permit on my behalf. On delivery day and pickup day, the driver who dropped off my container was very courteous. I was easily able to track the status of my container's delivery and arrange for a dropoff of the container at my new location. One suggestion I would have for the dropoff process is allowing for choosing a time for the truck to arrive. I had an incident with a neighbor at my new location where the truck carrying the container was blocking their driveway. He was worried about being able to leave for work on time, although the truck driver had quickly finished his business and left the neighborhood. I would like to be able to schedule the dropoff for after the neighbor had left for work to avoid incidents like this. Overall, I had a positive experience with U-Pack and would definitely consider them again for my next move in the future.

Customer service explained the process by phone and recommended I reserve 2 cubes if I wasn't sure if all of my items would fit into 1, and I ended up needing both cubes. They would not have charged me for the other cube had I ended up not needing it. I hired movers to pack and load the cube on-site at their location with ABF. There is a slight discount to load it on-site. I chose this route because of the discount, but with hiring movers to load them, I think the price would've come out even with having them drop off the cubes at my home and scheduling for pick up. I booked it a couple months in advance and the rates were about 1/3rd or sometimes more of the cost of long distance movers. It required a little bit of coordination overall, but it was worth it. I slowly took my time and drove over 5 days to get to Texas. U-Pack estimated 10-12 days for my stuff to arrive, but it ended up arriving in 5 days! So I was able to receive my belongings right when I had arrived! I must've gotten lucky since friends of mine said their movers took 2 weeks or a month for their stuff to arrive. I feel so blessed! The service was top notch with everyone I interacted with. I used 2 sets of locks, although I don't recommend using the brink lock that U-pack recommends on their website. Because Texas was icy when I arrived, the Brink keyholes had ice in them so I had to melt the ice with a lighter before the keys could fit in. My second lock was a Master Lock magnum lock and for whatever reason, no ice formed in those keyholes. I'd definitely use this service again and will recommend it to others if I need moving cubes.
