I have done quite a bit of business with the Ripon post office. This post office is on the smaller side. When you first walk in there are several packaging accessories on the wall to the right. If you need a last minute card for a special occasion, they have a card rack against the wall. There is a counter on the back wall with room for customers to finish packaging and addressing their shipments. There are three points of sale at the front counter and it is typically staffed with 1-2 employees. I have never had to wait more than a couple minutes. Each visit, I have found the different staff members to be friendly and helpful. During transactions they always ask if I need any stamps. I have never run into any customer service issues. read more

I usually am not a fan of postal workers because most I've encoun are rude and very unhelpful and don't care about your mail. But Amy was amazing. My rent check was mailed to this office for my landlord and it showed delivered in 2 days but then my landlord told me it wasn't in his box. I panicked because it was a cashiers check and I wasn't gonna get that back for 90 days minimum if lost. Luckily I told Amy it showed delivered and it wasn't and she went to the back real quick and came back with the envelope! I was so grateful. She said some of the helpers had misplaced it into another PO Box. She was nice enough to put it in the right one for us after I called my landlord. This post office employs the rudest people I've ever met. I've never had one good encounter here. They think it's appropriate to speak condescending and disrespectfully to you, especially when you question why they bend and destroy your mail, and then they'll continue to purposely bend and crumple your mail because they apparently lack any maturity. I'd prefer to give zero stars if I could. And I'd really prefer if there was any other post office than this one to go to. read more

I am new to Ripon and am very grateful to be here, may mail comes at different times of day but, I have patients and always know it will be there, I am saddened that it seems people don't feel the same way. life is short it can end in an instant, Appreciate everything and let people know you do. US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Ripon, California

I have a P.O box here and I have no complaint with the postal workers, but since they had some vandalism I have had to put up with the lobby closing at 7pm when it used to be 24hours. I have come here to shop at the center and found the doors wide open at 10pm one day. I thought maybe they were going back to the later times,. not wanting to risk that was just in error I showed up on Friday November 19th at 635pm and the doors were locked! I hate driving up here ( don't live near town) and find the doors are locked and there was no notice as to why. Can they be more consistent please I haven't been able to retrieve my mail in weeks. read more

The woman at the counter proceeds to ask for $11ish and I said its just a magazine; "can't mail a magazine its got ads in it" Wow; I re wrapped it, went in and called it a book and its $3. The 1 star is because I protested having sent books and magazines before at the lower rate. When I protested she claimed she'd just open it to see. Sure wish them out of business. read more

oh geeeez. i dread the day that i need to go to the post office....and going to the ripon one is no different. they usually have only one postal worker working the front, and you lose a month of your life waiting. and im not talking about the holidays or some peak time.....i purposely go on a weekday in the morning or early afternoon, and it is still ridiculously slow. what also is a little frightening is that i have witnessed a person accusing the staff of not sending an express mail package that day. the customer came in the next day and spotted it still sitting in the same spot as it was the day before when the postal worker placed it. pretty bad..... read more

I have lived in Ripon, Ca. for 12 years. I have found that the lines at the Ripon Post office move very fast. There are usually one or more workers there and they are always polite and informative. Even if it's just one person, the lines always move fast. These people have always been nice and professional. The mail carrier for my street goes above and beyond to get my packages to me. I ordered a package from China that had just arrive at the Ripon post office a few days before Christmas. I can't imagine the hundreds of packages that these mail carriers must have had to deliver on Christmas Eve. I really needed my package delivered on Christmas Eve for my daughter's Christmas present, but according to another mail carrier, my chances were very unlikely. My streets mail carrier came through for us and delivered the package on Christmas Eve. I consider that to be nothing less than amazing. I feel very grateful to this hard working mail carrier. read more

Don't use the blue mail box out front, it's not safe to put your mail in there. Me and my family placed an important payment and the receiver of the payment didn't get it. The mail was stolen and the check was cashed by an unknown person. Save yourself the trouble and don't use the box. read more
