After our first experience with Estest with a failed delivery where the tub that was damaged, the second hot tub was delivered perfectly.  The Estes driver was simply outstanding. He called us ahead of time. He handled the tub with skill and competence. Based on this experience I would highly recommend Estes.  One opportunity for system improvement. Estes sent me a text message "Your Estes delivery is set for..." This was done without a prior call to make sure the appointment date and time are available. In addition, the email did not include a phone number or email to allow me to change the appointment time. If I was on travel (the prior week I was in Europe), Estes would have probably dropped the tub with no one present. read more

So, we were surprised and happy to see our purchases arrived in good shape. Five stars given due to the delivery driver Edwin, who was friendly and helped carry these heavy things into our garage. NO STARS This is the worst trucking company ever. We sent a pallet all shrink wrapped and contained. We asked for them to return it to us and they lost all of the parts but 1. We sent 12 boxes at 268lbs and how it became unshrinkwrapped and lost is beyond me. It was over $6000.00 worth of parts and they only want to pay $525.00. What a joke. Unhelpful. In 2019, it's sad when people can't do their jobs. We got a shipment for a shed today, not only was it not where we asked them to leave it, we only got one of two boxes. The shipment labels specifically say "ONE OF TWO BOXES." We called customer service and they said that they are looking for it, and that they'd have it to us next week. This is unacceptable. Next week? The shipment is already a day late! This company doesn't care, and they are horrible people. They legit just left $800 worth of stuff in our driveway. STAY AWAY. read more

Do not use this company for any delivery services. Unreliable and deceitful. When I didn't receive my item, I called them multiple times only to be told it will be arriving later that day, and that they will call the following day to schedule a delivery. They never called. NOT ONCE. I was advised on my last call that another delivery company picked it up, and I'll need to reach out to them as there's nothing they can do. This was never disclosed on any of our calls. DIFFICULT TO SCHEDULE DELIVERY - I work full time but have the option to work from home on Fridays, so I requested Friday delivery. - The guy I spoke with said that they couldn't reschedule until after they attempted second delivery on Thursday....even though I told him it would be a wasted trip since I wouldn't be home. DELIVERY GUY WAS A JERK - The guy who dumped off my delivery today (and I mean that literally) was a lazy jerk. - I had to unload my own garden shed. The delivery guy rolled the shed up to my gate but just stood there watching while I struggled to get it off the wooden palette. - Then he refused to take the wooden palette that he used to haul the shed to my gate. He dumped it on me and said "you bought it!" - When I pointed out that I bought the SHED not the SHED + WOODEN PALETTE, he shrugged then smiled and said, "You bought it. You keep it." How am I supposed to dispose of a large wooden palette that I DIDN'T BUY?????? - To add insult to injury, he got pen on my sleeve when he shoved the pen at me to sign for delivery. What a JERK!!!!!! This freight company is a joke. Go with XPO, Old Dominion, or Oak Harbor instead. We just had a supplier send these spoiled children to pickup a pallet at our facility that was mis-delivered to us. But Estes refused the pickup because the pallet wasn't in the condition they wanted, even though it was in the same condition of the inbound freight. $40 worth of additional shrink wrap later, the driver still wanted to just go home and not pickup the pallet his company was under contract to move. This is the first I hear of this company but much disgust and regret. I made a purchase through Home Depot for delivery . No delivery was made. After further review and contact with Estes manager Rocky I quickly learned this company focused on these challenging times taking advantage of the holiday busy schedules and taking on more than what than can chew. This company contracted with Home Depot promising False delivery dates only to cash in after accepting products them using as leverage to make delivery charge. In return they subcontract or outsource packages for delivery only to make dates so far out that the item you ordered will no longer be needed or serve its purpose. Then when calling them to address concern they claim Home Depots delivery promise is not their promise and to add they say besides the item they took for delivery had now been outsourced to a third part so the customer has to deal with it and the 3rd part business. Then Rocky the manager out of the San Jose terminal threatens to even further delay delivery if you call to express concern. After seeing reviews I know understand the source of the companies problem. Home Home Depot and other big contracts seek business elsewhere so they don't carry the bad name of Estes Express. I had to take day off work and 2 hours of my time to pick package up myself from business they handed delivery down too. Sad bad horrible. read more

Received a $7,000 product damaged during shipping. Driver acknowledged that they used a fork lift when it clearly says not to on packaging. So I dealt with a distributor who shipped another product out to replace the damaged one. The 2nd product came damaged as well with similar damage probably from a fork lift. I tried to return the 2nd product but Estes now claims they cannot make it up my road and they want me to come meet them. These guys are absolutely useless. read more

We ordered a large (8 by 10.5 ft) outdoor shed. We were notified by the manufacturer this had been shipped by Estes Express. I contacted the San Jose office by phone to determine when this would be delivered and was advised they would call to schedule. I also sent a follow up email requesting a delivery time, with no response. On the second day at roughly 5pm we noticed a large truck out front of our home. When we asked if this was the shed delivery, he confirmed. The shipment consisted of 2 oversized packages weighing roughly 350 lbs. These did not fit in our driveway and certainly not on our front porch! The driver was redirected to a side gate and drive to the rear of our property. I'm very curious as to what would have taken place if we had NOT been at home to supervise this delivery. Something of this size and weight, not to mention dollar value (almost $1500) absolutely requires clear communication and confirmation ahead of time. This was horrific customer service all around. Sent one guy to unload a huge playset. He nearly killed himself unloading it and it Came sliding off the truck and smacked the road. Now I have to go check eatery piece for damage. He would not help move it into the garage as I was told and they left a huge ass pallet in our driveway and refuse to pick it up. Beware! Estes doesnt care! So my wife and I found a nice shed for our backyard online and decided to pull the trigger on it. Order confirmed, good to go. Day before my delivery is supposed to arrive I get a call, someone needs to be home to sign for the delivery, does 12-4 work? I say no, I will be at work, is anything later available? They have a 1-5 open if thats better for me. Ok, I can leave work early to be home on time for that. Fast forward to the next day (date of delivery). I get a notification from my camera on my front door that someone is in front of my house. I check it to see who it could be. Its now 12:10 so it cant be my delivery yet... wrong. They are early! So I close up shop and head home so they are not waiting around for me. I get home about 12:35 and the truck is gone. I check my camera to see what happened... They pulled up, unloaded a pallet, rolled it up my driveway and left it there. Never came to the door to see if I was home, no call, nothing. Ok, now I am a little frustrated that I was told I needed to be there to sign for it... but my package was delivered, doesnt appear to be damaged, and I got home in time to make sure it wasnt stolen. I go to check the package on my driveway and find the delivery receipt on the box. I read it over... wait... what... This lazy ass driver forged my signature! Never called me, never knocked on my door... just forged my signature and went on his way! COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! Do Not use Estes... We had a bad experience with these folks which could have been solved by a single phone call. We ordered new wood flooring from Home Depot and paid extra for home delivery (so we paid for this experience.) There was a two week lead time from order to delivery which was no big deal expect our son got sick and was in the hospital at the time of the scheduled delivery. I wanted to be be with him be stayed at home to receive the product and then planned to go see him. We had a window of 11-3:00. At 2:55, I called support, 15 minute hold time later, they said that they couldn't reach the driver and to give them until 6:00. So the 4 hour delivery window had become a 7 hour delivery window. Hoping to get someone else (nope, same guy, they must just have one customer service rep) I was told that told that the product had already been delivered. Really?!? I had been there all day and had not received a call or heard the door bell. I opened the garage and saw 600 lbs. of wood shrink wrapped to a palate right behind my car in the drive way. We had cleared a space in the garage for the wood but now I had to unpack the wood and move it individually. Usually not a big deal but, it should have been unnecessary and I wanted to get to the hospital. In the day and age of cell phones and tracking software, this should not happen. If they would have called when they delivered and if customer service had not been so bad, this would have been an OK experience. We need more wood for other rooms and have told Home Depot that if they plan to use this delivery service that we will take our business elsewhere. read more

Terrible service. Lost part of my order. Called every business day from October 10-22. Never received a call to schedule a delivery. The item just showed up today. Considering the size (a large wine cooler) it would be visible from the street if we hadn't been at home. The pallet was broken and the delivery person would not remove the cooler from it, making it a bit of a challenge for us. Please stop using Estes Express Delivery. I ordered 30 boxes of Pergo Outlast flooring and selected home delivery. I have used home delivery once before with an order of two french doors and while that delivery was on time, the two guys with the hand pull pallet was a poor choice for them to by strict brute force push the french doors up my driveway for delivery. However, this last delivery what full of very poor service and no communications. Delivery was first scheduled for Fri 11/11 between 1pm and 5pm. The Driver never showed up, never called. I called and got afterhours and they indicated that the driver ran out of time to complete his deliveries. so, next scheduled delivery was for Mon 11/14, same 1pm-5pm.. however they sent out a huge 60 foot semi, which could not make the turn to come down my street, and they only had a handpush pallet, so it could not be delivered. Next delivery was set for Wed 11/16 which they said they would send out a smaller truck. Weds came and another no show, no call. I had to call and get a hold of the night time staff that had no ability to do anything but suggest I call the next day, which I did. Next schedule was for Fri 11/18 in which a 30 foot truck made the deliver with one guy, trying to push the 1000 pounds of flooring on the pallet with again only the hand push pallet roller. Someone is going to get hurt, they need a motorized method to delivery pallet loaded products. They never once called me on any status or cancellation. the brief info in the online delivery status is joke, it say viturally nothing. On the Weds my order was never even put on the truck, it sat on the loading dock, yet the online status said it was out for delivery to the customer. This company has horrible ratings on Yelp. Please stop using Estes Express for delivery. They make Home Depot look bad. read more

This is my first YELP review. I was a bit stressed after reading the reviews. I ended up having a very good experience. My order shipped on Jun 4 my est. delivery was Jun 17-18. I noticed on Wed Jun 9 it was at the SJ terminal. I gave customer service a call around 5pm took about 5min to pick up (guy was helpful). He told me my order could ship out as early as Thur Jun 10, but that he'd email the delivery guys (which I believe is a 3rd party). The delivery guys called within an hour said Thur Jun 10 was booked, let's try Fri Jun 11. Then I called Thur Jun 10 to verify appointment and they rescheduled me to Sat Jun 11 which worked even better. The appointment was from 2pm-6pm. The guy showed up at 2pm, but didn't give me the 30 min heads up call. Other than that everything was fast, nothing missing, nothing beat up. Delivery man was nice enough to even put it in my garage (without me asking) and wait for me to quickly remove the shipping plastic to make sure everything looked good. Worst experience ever! We ordered gorgeous (and expensive) new patio furniture for our pool. We were super excited when it arrived UNTIL we spoke with the delivery driver. He asked me "Where do you want it?" I said "Right here in our lobby would be great!" He then told me he's not insured to bring it inside. I then asked him where he was insured to leave it. He said he could only leave it at the curb. Seriously?! Why even ask where I want it? I then watched as the driver stood and kicked our boxes out of the back of his truck on to the concrete. The boxes were so badly damaged. Some were torn open, others were squashed. My assistant manager and I had to enlist some residents to help bring the boxes into our lobby and the whole time the driver paced impatiently waiting for us to finish. I refused to sign for it until I could them inside and inspect a few of them. The contents of the ones I could inspect seemed relatively undamaged. A few days later when we were unpacking the boxes, we noticed that one of the boxes was not ours. It was supposed to go to a completely different apartment community. We also realized that we were short 4 chairs! Fortunately, the shipping company called the same day to follow up on our delivery. Unfortunately, when we explained what happened the customer service rep's response was "Well maybe you should educate the person who signed for it to inspect merchandise before signing for it." WTF? No accountability. I now see that this is how all their employees are trained. We will see if we ever get our shipment.. read more

Organization built upon INEPTITUDE. I ordered a dresser from Babies R Us, and got their shipment notification w/ a tracking number for Estes, who I've never heard of and now wish I never had. When I clicked on it, the Estes link had an estimated arrival date of 09/12/16 listed. When that date came and went and nothing was delivered, I checked the site again but this time from a desktop computer, and there is a notation at the bottom that says you have to call and schedule a delivery appointment with them. What is the point of providing an estimated delivery date if you had no intention of fulfilling it without my scheduling an appointment (which may or may not have been the same date)? Stellar business practice. I called and was given a delivery window of 1pm-5pm on 09/16/16. 09/16/16 came and went. At 5pm, I called the office to inquire, and whoever answered the phone called their driver, who said he was stuck in traffic, and that they'd be about 30 mins late. At 6pm with no delivery still, I called again, and the same person called the driver again, but this time he came back saying they attempted delivery at 1:15pm and nobody answered so they left. There was no notice of attempted delivery on my door, and I was inside the entire afternoon. I pointed out that an hour earlier, they told me the driver was stuck in traffic, but now I'd just sat around for an hour for no reason, AND THE EMPLOYEE HUNG UP ON ME. I called back, and this time I was left circling the phone queue with the intermittent option to press a button to leave a message or just keep holding. I held for about 5 mins, when someone picked up the receiver AND HUNG UP WITHOUT ANSWERING. I called back again, was left circling the phone queue for another few minutes again, but this time someone answered, and I asked for a supervisor. Not surprisingly, it was a supervisor who was answering the phone this time. I recounted my interaction with the previous employee, who the supervisor, Justin, apologized for. He told me he'd handle the issue w/ the office employee as well as the driver, then set me up with another, shorter, delivery window of 11am-1pm on 09/19/16. I thanked him for his help, then crossed my fingers. Guess what .... 1pm on 09/19/16 also came and went with no delivery. I called the office yet again, and was told my delivery was again 1pm-5pm. I said no, Justin gave me a shorter delivery window, which had now elapsed, and I wanted to speak with him again. Justin spoke with the driver, who was in an area roughly 30-60 mins away from me (depending on how deep into the valley you are) and my delivery would not arrive until 4:30pm. He told me he left notes and special instructions, etc etc etc, to load my delivery at the front of the truck and make it the first stop of the day and he didn't know how that didn't happen. Blah, blah, blah ... I couldn't have given one shit about anything they said if my life depended on it now. Heed these reviews and avoid this company. Push your delivery to its destination on a 3-wheeled roller skate yourself if you have to. These people will give you inaccurate information repeatedly, write you off, and push your cardiac stability into questionable territory.... then keep your shipping payment. read more

Somehow they "forgot" to load our couch on the appointed day of delivery. My husband took half the day off of work to help me bring the curbside delivered couch into the house. When I asked them if they would help me bring the couch inside since it was their fault my husband would now not be available to help and they said they would not be able to. Worst delivery experience I've ever had. Ordered a crossbed toolbox for my truck. After seeing it was going to take them a month to receive it to my residence, the day finally comes and to my surprised it does not arrive. After being told i need to contact them, they tell me they had no way of contacting me to set up a "convenient time" to drop it off. Even though they had my E-mail it is not my job to make sure you have my phone number. Telling me i have to wait another week to receive my toolbox it, it finally comes...damaged that is. Their customer service seems pretty friendly to communicate with, however, pickups do get delayed in general even after you get a confirmation number from their dispatch center. They are not the worst trucking service here in the bay area but definitely not the best for sure~ read more
